You mean Fraziers defense since McD's first year running the defense didn't do that last year.
Spare us that nonsense. It has always been McDermott's defense. His defense collapsed last year against Denver, Eagles twice, and again against KC.
If you are going to defend McDermott then don't lay the blame elsewhere.

Where is another rookie WR going to play. Who are they benching. Allen supposedly asked for Keon Coleman who is going to be a starter here. I think we can all assume Shakir is going to have a much bigger role, Kincaid is going to be the primary weapon in year 2, they signed Curtis Samuel to a 8 million a year so he's playing. Cook has to get his share of receptions and you know that Knox will factor into the passing game at times.
I think they will draft another guy who can play outside on Day 3 for sure in case of injury and has ST's capability as well but that guy isn't going to be getting a ton of run unless its injury related.
So you are guaranteeing Coleman is a starter?
None of us know if he is going to be any good. But all of us know you nearly double your odds if you take another WR.
How can you defend what hasn't worked? They keep drafting defense early and it hasn't worked.

When you're saying Shorter has to be an option on offense - that's the issue. And I think you're over-egging the pudding about the targets. Kincaid and Shakir are very good but still learning, as is Cook. Coleman is unproven. Samuel is decent. None of them are elite, at least yet. The Bills have gone backwards, and will be expecting even more from Josh to be successful as it stands.
Shakir being very good is a stretch...he had a couple of nice games last year.
He looks like a guy that can be very good but he has a lot to prove

17 now has 4 legit undeneath targets who are all good to great in Kincaid, Knox, Shakir and Curtis Samuel, and then we just added a bona fide deep threat/deeper route concept guy and cn complement him with last year;s 5th rounder who does that in Justin Shorter. Then you also have James Cook who is a to p3 weapon out of the backfield in thee NFL.
If Allen cant crush it with what he's been given, then he's not the guy we think he is - and already proven to be.
This WR set is now deeper, faster, and better than anything Allen has had since 2021, and possibly then to because there's more versatility here

Are you saying drafting Troy Franklin or fill in the blank would have put us over the top in January on third and goal from the eight?
Shirley.
I'm saying drafting two WRs doubles the chance one of them is good.
There are not 5 NFL quality WRs on the roster right now. It's a joke.

Two goofballs and a quiet guy are all that is needed for leaders huh? They’re great players but their leadership is unproven.
Lost: Poyer, Hyde, Morse, Diggs, Gabe, Tre. All leaders in their own way and Morse, Hyde, Poyer all have a maturity level that will be missed. Tre led with friendliness and work ethic and will also be missed. Diggs and Gabe can be debated but not dismissed.
I doubt a 3rd round DT will be looked at as a leader right away but that’s not the point. Your assertion that we are all set is plainly silly.
Sure ok, I don't disagree with anything you said.
Won't make any difference in January on 3rd and goal from the 8 yard line.
I actually don't think Beane is this tragically stupid. I think he has a deal for a WR in place after June 1st.

I can see the people saying they know more than our one GM, but when people start to claim to be smarter than all 32 gms that passed on Franklin then I start to go hmmmmm haha
The entire board knows a DT can't play WR.
The entire board knows a heavy DT rotation has not worked in the playoffs to stop anyone.
Enjoy owning the fifth round!!!!

I actually think this has been a really strong draft.
But it’s the same type of draft that has us being really good all year and falling short in the playoffs.
Coleman has some boom/bust in him, but Bishop and Carter are just good, maybe really good football players if they hit. We have a lot of good players .. we don’t have difference makers (as of today) outside Josh Allen.
Yeah! Barely win the division! Lose at home to Joe Burrow this time or maybe the kid in Houston....

I get the complaints to an extent - but we need D more than O at this point. We don't have depth at DT (or didn't until this pick).
We've had defense for years and it has gotten them nowhere.
It's just so sad to see McDermott waste best QB in franchise history

We were 10000% short of leaders. We lost a ton of them.
A backup DT is never going to lead anything.
Allen, Milano, and Dawkins is all you need for leaders.
They need playmakers on offense. This draft really sucks.

Beane has royally screwed us.
Worst WR group since 2018.

All 3 of the Bills picks tonight were team leaders in the locker room.
We don't need team leaders. We need guys that score TDs

Lol...Beane trades away our best WR then takes two defenders.
McDermott must be wondering if Beane is trying to get him fired.
But but he is a team captain.....

Said it in the second round but it still holds true. Trading up with Cleveland makes a lot of sense for both here

He had a HORRIBLE combine. Coleman had a slow 40, but he excelled in the rest of the drills. Franklin was just bad all around.

Ok people that know more than me, why is Franklin falling? What is the negative issue?

No way we’re staying at 95, right?..
Weve got six picks in Rounds 4 & 5 … completely unnecessary.
Why do you say that, we need guys to be in camp, then cut and go make rosters elsewhere????

Detroit double dipping on their position of need....

Fills a big need, looks like a McD safety.
Yup..how did those McD safeties do stopping KC in the playoffs....
Beane could have doubled up on WR and blew it

If he gets past Bengals, Go get Franklin!
Cleveland doesn't have a fourth round pick. Perfect opportunity for Beane to move up and get Mitchell or Franklin!

How is Cooper still there?
As much as I crapped on the guy if he drops a few more spots maybe a trade up is in the future
What can we expect on day 3?
