How is Cooper still there?
As much as I crapped on the guy if he drops a few more spots maybe a trade up is in the future

guys on the dallas draft show are saying Mitchell has major off the field concerns and there are at least two teams who have him off their board completely.
We need a guy with character concerns!!!

He has only drafted BPA twice since being a GM…Josh and Ed. He’s no Howie Roseman
That's what I have said for years but this board likes to claim otherwise. And Beane lies every year saying he will not pick for need

Everyone relax. National media is much higher than our fans.
plus the Pats were trying to get him and the Bills snipped them (they traded down after)
Of course he is the favorite for the X there is no one else on the team to play that role.
This is disgusting

So all you people that say Beane drafts BPA, can we not hear from you for a long long time....

He's already in the second round at #60. He probably wants to move up from there and get two top forty picks.
Sorry I meant a 3rd pick in the second round.

Please no DeJean
No Coleman
I'd prefer we just trade back another 3-5 spots so that Beane can get enough ammunition to get back in to the 2nd round

If only the salary cap and the need to replace aging players with rapidly declining skills were not a reality, well then I might see your point. Since those factors ARE real, I believe Beane has done a nice job of embracing that reality and addressing it. Would you prefer that we give OBJ a bag of money for a year along with a key to the city? I would rather deal in the reality of an evolving roster. It never stops...
We will see what he does in the next 12 hours.
There still was no reason to trade Diggs at this time and make your team worse. They could just have easily kept Diggs and still traded down and still drafted a WR.
Now they need to add at least two WRs to even have a roster of 5 NFL caliber WRs. There are still several name UFA out there Beane can add after June 1st. They may already have a deal in place for one of them.

If they are not trying to win the SuperBowl every year with Josh then they should both be fired.
You think any Rams fan cares they didn't make the playoffs after winning the SuperBowl.

The only smart move is to trade back again. Somehow turn #28 and #60 into 3 second round picks.
Maybe drop back to AZ and give them one of our fourths for their late 3rd rounder.
Bills still take Mitchell at 35 and then have 60 and two 3rd round picks and 3 fourths to play with later in the second.
I don't think you can drop back lower than Washington or the Chargers and get your WR. Both probably take WR.

Giants getting Nabers and pasing on McCarthy was great move. Lots of pressure to go QB and they made the best choice.

The trade with Carolina is a no brainer for many reasons.
1. You confirm with Carolina the player they are moving up to select is not the player you want. If it is then you don’t make the trade.
2. you move up about 60 spots from late 6th to high 5th. That is the 125 ranked player vs the 185.3. the newly acquired high 5th rounder is a much more valuable trade chip to improve 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounders.
4. The first pick in the 2nd round is often a highly traded pick as teams reevaluate their boards (since moving to the 3 day format), giving more trade down opportunities.
Not sure how you get 125th ranked player. The fifth round pick they got is pick 141.

Trade 33 and Minnesota,s 2nd in 2025 for Jefferson.

Epenesa was probably meant to be 3-4 5t DE in the NFL. He could have kept his weight and worked on getting even stronger and stouter. Solid 2-gap edge-setter at his length and strength. (Not at ALL how the Bills projected him, of course.)
I.e., wasn't meant to be a "Finisher" so much as a guy who re-establishes the LOS in favor of the defense.
Epenesa is terrible and the worst decision this off-season to bring him back. Complete waste of money and cap space.
