  1. Yeah, they never give Rochester the same privileges as Buffalo. Back in 80's, I was set to watch the Bills game there. It was a late 4 PM start, but the 1 PM game ran late. In Buffalo, they break away for the Bills game, but not in Rochester (at least not at that time). I wound up missing the first two drives of the game. Of course, I was pissed. Hope it's changed now
  2. Major update this morning: WIVB (CBS 4) in Buffalo is now getting Miami at New England for the early CBS game instead of Indianaoplis at the New York Giants. But Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Utica, etc. is still out of luck. Map above has been updated. Also updated: CBS Early: San Antonio TX: DEN-KC to JAX-HOU. Fort Smith AR: MIA-NE to DEN-KC Huntsville AL; Chattanooga TN: JAX-HOU to MIA-NE (Fri) Spokane, Yakima and Kennewick WA; Lewiston ID: IND-NYG to MIA-NE (Fri) Little Rock AR: MIA-NE to DEN-KC (Fri) CBS Late: Bend OR: MIN-GB to LAR-LAC FOX Single: San Diego CA: SF-LV to NO-PHI St. Louis and Columbia MO: CAR-TB to CHI-DET West Palm Beach FL; Providence RI; Portland and Bangor ME: NYJ-SEA to CAR-TB
  3. Yeah, it was an amazing season. It was what drew me to the Bills as a child. The thing that drives me crazy is we had that game won, despite the broken ankle. But Ron Smith scored a dramatic 50-yard TD in the last minute or so to let the Chargers win the game 20-14.
  4. Thanks for doing all this research! The Dolphins in 1993 got super lucky beating the Cowboys, thanks to Leon Lett.
  5. Unfortunately, we lost to them in the playoffs, on the road! That year was like 1993. We beat Dallas in the regular season, only to lose to them in the SB. [FYI: under today's rules, we would have played Cleveland in the 1980 divisionals, not San Diego.]
  6. Belichick has too much of an ego, like Brady. He will never go out on a loss and a losing season. Sean Payton is smart. He does not go to a team in a division where he plays Josh twice a year. He's like Phil Jackson: he'll go to a team ready-made for winning. Maybe even next season if Davis can afford to fire him.
  7. Thanks for your detailed post. It's a shame playoff games in the UK are not on free TV, as they are here in the US. Also, I am amazed Channel 5 apparently covers all of the UK, where there are so many broadcast network affiliates here in the US. I realize the UK is smaller geographically, but it still amazes me since I am so used to the US.
  8. Thanks...but you have Red Zone in the UK?! 😃 Agreed.
  9. Bucky Brooks on FOX Sports Radio just ranked his top 3 in the AFC as Cincinnati, KC. and Buffalo. I guess the Bills win Monday will have to change that.
  10. I don't watch Red Zone, so I didn't realize this, lol:
  11. I went to college in Rochester. We had so many NYC students there. They tried to get me to change the TV station on the public TV in the student center in the 80's to CBS pre-game show (they covered the NFC and Giants at the time) from the NBC pre-game show (they covered the AFC and the Bills). Me and my friend said no, this is Buffalo country! You mean Bills-Bengals? It is being simulcast on both ABC and ESPN nationally this week!
  12. Detroit CBS might black out their early game (Indy-NYG) since FOX Detroit is airing Detroit at Chicago on FOX in the same time slot. Per NFL rules, if the home team plays on the single-header network, the home team may require the other network to black out the same time slot. The NFL requires this rule to be waived the first four times a year though. This would be the sixth time though for Detroit, and they can choose to enforce a blackout. We will see if it changes later this week. Detroit enforced it on CBS in Week 9, which was the fifth time this situation occurred this season.
  13. Good game, but I'd rather get Denver-KC. Miami and New England are out of the division race, but if KC loses, the Bills will be in a position to potentially clinch the number one seed Monday.
  14. Yep, KUTV FOX in Buffalo showed the Giants-Minnesota over Seatle-KC last week too. Stupid.

  16. Thanks. Yeah, nothing wrong with being past middle-age (I am), but there is so much unconscious age-discrimination going on in society that I thought of that. It's a message that is enforced unknowingly through our media. I hope it's not the case with Frazier, but I suspect that it is a big part.
  17. I wonder if Frazier's age (63) has anything to do with teams' reluctance to hire him?
  18. FOX announcers have been finalized in the original post. For Arizona at Atlanta, Jason Benetti is calling his first ever game.
  19. Yeah, he knows. He was just expressing his distaste for that nickname. I don't like it either.
  20. Yep, and they will most likely get the FOX number 7 team of either Tim Brando or Dan Hellie with maybe color announcer Matt Millen or someone else. LOL. Well, he was a better WR, that is for sure. Wouldn't mind having now on the Bills again, lol!
  21. Partial update for FOX TV announcers added. Rest should be announced by tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest.
