  1. Someone on another forum said if not playing this game or having it be a tie gives KC the number one seed, then how do you think Damar will feel when he wakes up that he cost the team at a shot at the number one seed? [Of course, he wouldn't have, but that is how he would feel probably.] I am not sure what to think. Maybe play the game at a later date in his honor?
  2. Thanks for giving us what people in the UK saw. Yeah, Sky and 99 Yards had nothing about this last time I checked. Probably wanted to avoid discussing the situation. Their sites and twitter might have changed since. Not sure.
  3. Someone on the Miami board said playing the game in Cincy is bad juju, given Hamlin and what happened to Tua.
  4. They said at the time no changes were planned, but it is not final. Plus, Miami would be angry we rested against the Patriots. No, it is Sunday.
  5. There won't be a forfeit. The NFL wouldn't want egg on its face for forcing one team to take the loss because of an injury like this. There either will be a tie, double win, or no contest declared. Plus, Cincy would not accept a win by foreit. KC, if they had any balls, wouldn't accept the number 1 seed this way either.
  6. Then the Bills probably won't get the bye week to rest.
  7. They will just be delayed one week.
  8. I don't think there will be games this weekend.
  9. And they continued the game. There was only like one minute left, so the team just took a knee.
  10. Do you think the Bengals would want to play on the same turf, starting at the same yard marker where the injury occurred?
  11. As I stated before, Cincy wouldn't feel right taking a W due to forfeit, and won't accept it. Plus someone posted above the NFL doesn't want to take the blowback from forcing the Bills to take a forfeit because of the Hamlin situation. It is likely a tie, double forfeit, double win, or replay the game at a later date, delaying the season if need be.
  12. So cancel the games this week. Resume the Bills-Bengals the following Sunday as the only game, on a neutral field, in Cleveland, since the Bills won't want to play on the same turf where the incident occurred. This will also make up for the Bill giving up a home game to play in Detroit earleir this year. They game starts at 0-0 from the start of the first quarter, to give everyone a fresh start, free of the memories from last night. Half the tickets go to each team. The Week 18 games are the followlng week. All the playoff weeks are pushed back one week. The NFL has done it before, after 9-11. Makes most people happy.
  13. Cincy would not allow it. They would want a double forfeit, with both teams losing.
  14. There may not be games anyway if no teams are practicing. The Bills certainly won't be.
  15. Or the NFL could discount this last week's games, and make it a 16-game season, like it used to be recently. Everyone is off this Sunday, and playoffs begin on schedule. Or even one week later, with no off-week before the SB.
  16. I didn't read the whole thread, but:
  17. He would say no, but what else could he say? Cancel the season? He would have no choice but to say it. We don't know what is going to happen with him though. I am hoping for the best possible outcome.
  18. Ok, I meant to write "fairness, but the "f";s got me.Early in the morning for me. I apologize for that. My point still stands though. The trivial needs of the millions in this situation do not compare to Hamlin, when his life and health are at stake.
  19. His life is on the line, including the quality of his life. I hope it ends well for him.
  20. Someone's life vs. the feelings of millions of people. Hmmmm...
  21. Someone on another forum said just cancel the season. This is a good idea. MLB did it before with the player's stike.
