Is this from the Dr who was posting last night using his iPad? Typed "humble penis" and I think he explained that he uses it all the time because it was convenient, but had spell check issues... I have so many questions for his patients at his practice - damn HIPAA. 😄

Mitch has not had to do a lot for Chicago and Nagy to look like a clown org this year. Plenty of teams would be willing to kick the tires.... but really nice to have the Mitch security blanket - especially with Allen taking the hits he is on designed runs.

Usually right there with ya John, but he was 18 of 35 with a QBR of 52.8. I guess he didn't turn the ball over and that was efficient. They had a rushing TD, a bunch of field goals, and a pick 6. I thought Miami was going to play us tough. I expect Bill's defense will show up too, and Josh hates those 2-deep zones and I expect we will see more of that from Bill than we have seen before.

Agree. They have beat up on the Jets twice and the Texans. Herbert got another taste of what playing a Belichick defense is like and he did not handle that well before. Last year they thumped Justin and the Chargers 45 to 0. There is nothing defensively that Bill is going to lean on that Allen has not seen 2x a year and their RB and QB do not scare me. They do have some key players back that were out last year, but we have Star back in the middle too. Will feature a lot of TE as Bill knows we often struggle covering TEs, but have done a better job this year than last. You never know, and it could be a dog fight, but just does not have the same intimidation effect as the Brady years.

Wallace is a good zone corner who plays it safe giving up some cushion and is still a liability against QBs that can get the ball there with some zip. So still would like to eventually see someone who could lock up the side opposite White in zone or man. Star is a key cog that is helping others grow into their roles - like Edmunds and Oliver. We have a decent rotation and having a natural NT is key for this defense to click up front. Good pressure up front from the edges and pretty solid run defense. If our offense hits pay dirt earlier in a game these guys can turn up the heat and create turnovers. They are pretty solid.

The back of Allen's helmet logo seems a bit ironic in this context cause Miami be hate'n on Josh Allen 😄

The OL definitely figured out some of their protection issues by the 2nd half. Up to that point our rushing yards excluding Allen scrambles had to be pretty low. The pressure rates were high, and we had a whopping 3 on the board. Not all on the OL for certain. Miami was determined to stress our tackles with wide alignments and zone blitzes. Williams in particular was being tested that way as he has struggled with outside speed rushers. Allen definitely had more time in the 2nd half. I've always thought our OL is better at pass pro than run blocking, and I don't think Miami has the defensive line rotation depth we do to go balls to the wall for four quarters. We run to try to force teams to commit more guys to the box (not wildly successful there) and to slow the pass rush (I think that does happen). They seemed to me to be more gassed later. We even sprang a few positive runs on them. Those guys played that first half with a big ol' chip on their shoulder.

You are missing how differently defenses play TN when Henry is just on the field regardless whether he gets the carry or not. It is how many defenders DCs commit to stopping Henry from potentially breaking a long run that allows TN to play the way they do. Not sure when he hurt his foot either or if he tried to play through the injury...could have impacted his numbers yesterday too.

No Henry then Tanny is toast. Teams will play light boxes and shut down their receivers.

On another play their RT took a full step back before the snap right in front of a field judge and nada, and it was so obvious.. They then flagged Miami for a weak holding later on the same play.... Just baffling and incompetent. It was that kind of f'd up officiating all game long that made it damn near unwatchable. I can take consistently bad, like those guys don't know what a DPI is, but teams can adjust to the way that crew is calling those. But a love tap on the front of a helmet draws a hands to the face flag, yet a Bills helmet getting knocked off a head and bouncing across the field gets nothing. Please sweet baby Jesus, may we not see those guys again for the rest of the year.

Just hope we don't see that crew again for a long time. Our defense was waay outplaying Miami's offense, yet I think it took till the 3rd quarter for them to go 3 and out. Gives you an idea of how many head-scratching calls extended drives. On offense, need better blocking up front and from Sweeney on the edges. Miami was more physical and we had to start matching that. Kumerow shows up in a good way recovering that muffed punt in the end zone. Guy just seems to be a baller who understands the game.

Tua had so many passes defended that Wallace was looking like a lock-down guy on plays. Nice touch and decent accuracy on short routes and dropped a few longer ones in the bucket, but not a lot of zip and DBs were able to close and break up a lot of passes because of that. Hung tough in the pocket and showed good wheels when he scrambles considering the injuries he's had to rehab through. I don't think he is a bad QB, but like Tanny before him, he's a QB you have to surround with the right supporting cast and have the right OC to tap what he does well.

Wilkins was owning our G's too. On the early play where they said Devin ran into his own man, the Bills pull Ike from his RG position to the left and Wilkins literally just tosses him on his a$$ and Devin runs into the pile of bodies. In the run play design both Mongo and Williams release into the 2nd level (optimistic when you cannot block the 1st level guys, but why not?) and Sweeny is asked to block the DE. As Ike comes across you get a classic example of how many hands to the face can you count on any given trench play (why I think when they do call it, it has to be egregious) Dawkins is getting his chin jacked and Ike has a handful of Wilkins facemask. Wilkins tosses Ike aside like a 300 pound baby on his butt right into Devin's feet. Play over. The announcers perhaps Lofton who I like for obvious reasons say, "Singletary ran into his own man..." no Singletary ran into Ike who was tossed into his RBs feet instead of being able to move Wilkins in any way off of his pull move. This line is either really bad or just not being coached up very well or probably a combo of both and I was pretty high on Bobby coming back. Running play calls are not helping either. If you KNOW you do not have the talent up front to win all the 1 on 1 battles then you have to run some plays to figure out what DL you need to double first as part of in-game adjustments rather than calling plays that have your linemen releasing to block linebackers and safeties at the 2nd level right out of the gate. I would rather have Devin and Moss eek out a few yards after hitting a LB or S getting through a gap than getting stuffed behind the line. Seemed like they made more of those adjustments after the half, but they need to happen a bit quicker. Unless we field a better OL (and surprised by the level of drop off without Brown at RT) then our coaches have to do a better job understanding and matching up against defensive fronts early identifying what players need help with their assignments. Stretch runs to the right or Morse pulling when left uncovered got us some yards. Allen missed some layups early - was amped by the refs and poor execution and forced some throws into their 2-deep zone with Beas and Moss available underneath. We got out of our offensive funk when he calmed down and started taking those - a continued work in progress for Josh to take what the defense gives him and let Beas and Moss do what they do which is getting to the sticks on those short passes in front of those zone defenders.

I won't take back what I said earlier because there are too many games where he just disappears. I also predicted he would have a breakout game today against Miami. He shows flashes from time-to-time of the game changer he can be. If he can develop his game where he brings that intensity and consistency each week, then he will justify where he was taken. He had a great game today.

Yet they called one on us that you needed 100FPS to get a second's worth of slow-mo infraction replay the hands were up there so briefly. They did FINALLY throw some flags later when the one dude was bending Mongo's head so far back by his chin he could see his own butt crack. Just bush league officiating that definitely was affecting the course of the game... killing or extending drives.

It does seem like almost every time game announcers say, "The Bills looking for a big punt here..." Shank.

Agree. When not shown charging they kind of just look like a food source.

Yeah Wentz did not need to force that, but he has 2-3 solid bone-headed plays every game. I think last week he shovel passed right between the numbers of a defender in the RZ. Just shook my head... just been his MO for a while.

Even Josh can't be Josh with a jail break each snap. Protection was hot garbage for much of the game. Did a bit better figuring out the stunts and doubling the right guy to give Allen some breathing room later. Beasley woke this offense up when it needed a boost and some critical conversions.

Thought our defense kept us in the game for the most part. Some questionable calls negated 3rd down stuffs on more than one occasion. Miami hiking the ball at Gesicki butt as he came across in motion for their butt fumble in the RZ was quite a gift before the half and karma balancing out. OL combo with Ike and Mongo at G and Williams at RT looked bad.... real bad for much of the game. Jets took care of Bengles... any given Sunday.

Miami came out swinging and was simply more physical than our OL for almost 3 quarters of football. That was the big difference. Not impressed with Tua's arm, but he has some wheels that he could use more.

I rarely see that low block penalty called, but agree with it. Just needs to be called consistently. Mongo throws a lot of those because he just doesn't get good position or leverage.

That bubble screen "block" for Diggs was not something you would want to see on film as a player. Ugly does not cover it.
