In the past, I could turn on the TV and really get interested in any NFL game that was on.  Now, after watching Josh play the game, watching other QB's is kind of ho-hum.  Most of the time the games are kind of boring. Yes, a few of them can make a couple of great throws a game, like Tua to a wide-open Hill or Waddle, or Mahomes to Kelce, but none, no one, plays the game like Josh Allen. Yes, I know I'm prejudiced, but I believe he is the most exciting and talented quarterback in the game today and will go down in history as one of the best.  Every snap he takes, you know he could make a play that no other QB could possibly make.  That is what makes him so exciting to watch. We are so damn lucky to have him.

ive said for a few years that i wont be able to go back to how the last 20 years were before Josh. If it looks like that again, i will most likely stop watching.

  3. Never loved Daboll as a coordinator, but Josh's lack of discipline since he left, made me think twice about that. We'll see how that looks the rest of this season. If Josh can be disciplined without him, there isn't much use for him, short of dorsey getting a hc spot. What the Bills have done the last few weeks feels similar to 2020 and 2021 buffalo. Maybe Dorsey is catching his stride.

In my eyes, Daboll could be great when he was rolling, but what I thought he lacked was the ability to turn things around when the opposing defense had their number. I just didn't see the adjustments. I don't know if Dorsey will be an adjustments guy either. time will tell.  Or maybe im way off on that. It's just the feeling i had during the best of times for us.

  4. This week, Allen jumped Daryle Lamonica, Chris Miller, and Brian Griese to land in the 119th spot with 19,445 yards. Next week, he should jump Sam Bradford and Charlie Conerly into the 117 spot with just 44 yards. With a healthy season, Allen stands to jump into the top 100 by the end of the season, if he can throw for 2685 yards in 13 games. Currently occupying spot #100, the great Carson Wentz.

Smart contract by Philly, assuming there's some out clause that doesn't kill them year 5.  Either Hurts evolves and turns into what Philly is hoping long term, or he runs himself into the ground and camps out on IR like Lamar

the contract goes through 29, so the last three years i guess will average around 60. will probably seem normal or low by the time they get there!

This is going to happen every time a qb gets a new deal. Kinda hard to call any player making $45 million a bargain.

and great for Hurts. He had gotten doubted a lot and just put his head down and worked and kept getting better. He was awesome in the SB. He reminds me a lot of Allen.

that said, if you are other positions, this has to drive you crazy. Not because of Hurts but because of scrubs like Jones and Jared Godf getting these deals. It’s insane what qbs get paid compared to other positions.

yup. there are 3 to 5 guys, like Allen and Mahomes who deserve every penny, if not more. The rest of these guys like Jones  barely deserve half of what they get. The nba is even worse for guys making undeserved money. seems like every other team has a max player guy or TWO who makes just about as much as a GIannis, KD, or prime Lebron.

that’s not how it works and your ridiculous example doesn’t help your non-argument.

I love how so many of you straight up nobodies are carrying water for these billionaire owners and trying to memory hole the Watson contract. Sorry but it happened. And Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow et al. also know it happened and will continue to negotiate based off it. People far smarter than us are and will be fighting this out going forward because of the Watson deal and y’all taking the side of the other “aggrieved” billionaires because one of their own was stupid, filppant and, dare I say, ballsy enough to break their unspoken precedent. A precedent which has already been broken in the other big 3 professional US sports. Christ. I’d call you bootlickers, but that’d be too kind.

Well, Lamar has already been told no and the Bengals are cash poor, so likely not happening for Burrow either. Market getting set back to normal. It happens all the time. A-Rod signed for 250 million in 2000. It wasn't until 2019 that A-Rod was topped!

Yes. Tony Romo, who did Bills games multiple times during Josh's elbow injury pretty much stated this repeatedly: it may seem counterintuitive but the short "touch" passes place much more stress on the elbow than the downfield passes.

yup. i remember thinking romo was overstating the issues caused by the elbow. now it kind of seems like maybe Romo actually had a lot more information than the rest of us

Benching Singletary or Cook would go over brilliantly. We were already complaining about Cook usage. In fact that is still a better complaint.

I hated when they gave snaps to Moss. I can’t say anything about giving snaps to Singletary and Cook. Our offense doesn’t utilize the RB well, that goes back to Daboll. It’s not a Dorsey thing. It could be an Allen thing. I would say it’s an Allen thing. He could probably hit the RB in the flat or right in front of him every time. It’s always there when watching games back.

All these fans that secretly know our offensive concepts and hot calls on this board should get into coaching also. I will always blame the QB. I blame the QB for nearly everything that goes wrong with the offense. I also credit almost every time things go right. That goes for protection, everything.

Josh is at his absolute unstoppable best when he’s dinking and dunking. When he’s hitting the RBs out of the backfield he’s unstoppable. LBs are lost. They can’t spy him and also cover the RB. It opened up the entire offense. For whatever reason last year Josh went away from that as the season went on and decided to become Daunte Culpepper launching balls down field to Moss.

First thing to understand is that just because it’s taught doesn’t mean it’ll be executed. I’ve never been on a football team that didn’t teach hots and blitz beaters. There is absolutely zero chance the Bills offensive coaching staff doesn’t teach hots.

Here's what I know about Josh Allen. He is coachable. Giving information does not mean you are TEACHING it well.
