Overreacting to preseason games is the ultimate rookie move and proves to me they know nothing about football. But it doesn’t stop people from doing it EVERY… SINGLE… YEAR… No. The Bills are trash. Let’s drink

If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hamlin doesn’t let guys burn him over the top. He’s around the ball constantly evidenced by his 90 combined tackles, he just doesn’t have the athleticism to make too many plays on the ball. I thought last year was his best one? People who say he didn’t have game changing plays are lying. He even had them in the playoffs (1 sack, 1 FF, 2 TFL.) What more can you ask of a backup ? Don’t cut him just because he isn’t starting material. -

People were talking the EXACT same way about Terrell Bernard like they do with Bishop now. According to this forum, Bernard was a bust and the Bills were screwed bc they had no one to replace Edmunds. Back in the day, player development was a commonly understood concept. Now it’s all about instant gratification. -

Thank you. Durability is king 👑 Plus it never hurts having a guy who’s knows this defense inside & out. He’s certainly a liability out there, but what backup isn’t? If he was good, he would be starting. I don’t think they should cut him, but I’m not going to act like I’ll lose huge amounts of sleep over it either. -
Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
You state this as if it’s a fact. Anyone of those draft picks could make an immediate impact. Who thought Elam would bust and Benford would become the #1 CB? The draft is a crapshoot. Every single year NFL teams have unexpected players rise up. -

I guess using picks #30, 41, 72, 109, 177, 179 entirely on defensive players is not going to make any difference ? -

I’ve been saying this for years. I hate this bend don’t break crap. It wreaks of Dick Jauron who’s were statistically good, but didn’t strike fear in any real offenses. I wish we could go back to that Jim Schwartz D, man. That defense was downright vicious and didn’t play scared. -
2nd Window for Superbowl Taking Shape
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
All that may be true. I just think the Bengals are a very bad matchup for the Bills. Those quick timing throws are a killer. Funny because Burrow’s #1 target thinks Josh Allen is somebody you need to gameplan for. Basically he said when you play the Bengals, you game plan against their skill players. When you have play the Bills, you game plan for Allen. source (I didn’t come up with the video title.) -

No love for the Bengals who absolutely throttled us? I get that they’re having problems, but that roster is way too good to overlook. -
Youse think preseason week 2 is bad?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly. Only people giving 100% effort are the bubble players and these are the only reason I watch them to begin with. I’ve been watching football long enough to know how meaningless the preseason is. -
Preseason Week 2 Bills at Bears - Game thread
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll tell you what and I mean this. If Shavers is not retained on the 53 man roster, i will lose a lot of respect for the Process and the supposed “best man wins the job.” This guy has shined on every opportunity given. -

Beane should sign him just to give Keon Coleman a confidence boost

Preseason Week 2 - Post Updates Here
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Holy Christ am I out of touch. The preseason is only 3 games ? -
What’s crazy is Buffalo never had a problem putting together top NFL defenses or even stellar running games for the past 30 years. The problem was always finding a QB and elevating the passing game. Now that we have a top QB, it’s been a never ending issue giving him a consistently good defense. When they broke the drought, they did it on the backs of McCoy and the D.

Will Josh Allen Play Tmrw vs Bears
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I’m about done with this heat. The summer is overrated. Fall is the best season hands down. -
@Shaw66 very informative. Thank you

That’s what I’m hoping and I guess every fan. That it’s mental and if they get the first one then it will open a flood gate

Best of Bills history was 4 straight Superbowls and having to fend off Dan Marino in the same division every year. There’s no one position other than QB that the current Bills team is better at.
-
The 4th down sneak was the obvious one to me. There was an overhead angle where you can see the nose of the ball cross the line by very convincing margin. On such a crucial drive, IDK how the refs are able to make such a game defining call. Obviously, it doesn’t mean Buffalo automatically wins, but it increases their chances drastically. A Chiefs/Bills game is about as even as a matchup as you can possibly get in the NFL. All it takes is one bad call to completely sway a game in the other teams favor. Seems like the NFL is fine calling an even game in the regular season, but come playoff time the Chiefs almost always get lucky. Is Mahomes just that more clutch than Allen?
-
Exactly. Or it would’ve been the Pete Carroll situation allover again when fans/media crucified him for not going w/ the most obvious call, running the best power back in the NFL at the 1 yard line. McDermott went with the obvious & correct call. The officials didn’t do their job and spotted the ball incorrectly. It wasn’t even a debatable call like the Music City Miracle. With all the angles available, Refs could’ve easily pieced them altogether and determined a 1st down. But yeah. The Chiefs “wanted it more.” The Bills “deserved to lose.”

2nd Window for Superbowl Taking Shape
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know it’s cliche, but the window is open every year Allen is healthy and in his prime. I didn’t think for one second that 2024 “rest & reload” year. Allen got screwed on the MVP in 2023 despite having 15 more TDs than the winner. So there was no indication that he was going to slow down. The reasoning for the down year was because of Diggs leaving. I feel like that was a narrative driven by the national media more so than fans. We all know who was more responsible for the others success. And sure enough Allen won MVP and Diggs spent the season rehabbing. I’m with you as far as the Bills being a true contender this year, but I don’t think they are head & shoulders closer than they were last year. They made some upgrades, but a lot of them are rookies not expected to pan out until a season or 2 down the road. Buffalo is largely returning w/ the same roster as last year albeit with a little more experience. -
I take these accusations truly as “innocent until proven guilty.” It’s all fun & games until you or someone close gets falsely accused of this crap. And believe me, all it takes is one lie to send your life spiraling out of control. People laugh, but this is a man’s reputation on the line. If he is guilty then throw away the key.
