  1. RW's been stealing our money for years. Also, this just in, lots of athletes are jackasses.
  2. McNabb is totally gone. The vultures have been circling for about a year and a half now. The Eagles take 0 cap hit to move him this off-season and there's no way he plays out the last year of his deal. There is zero chance he's in Philly next year. Vick will be dealt too. It will be interesting to see which one fetches a higher price since McNabb is older and more expensive.
  3. Moreso than usual even. Seriously, losing to Dallas thrice in one season and twice in 6 days? I could hear the pitchforks and smell the burning torches by the 3rd quarter. McNabb is toast and they may go on a walrus hunt for Reid as well though I think mgt will keep him.
  4. Maybe it was Gilbert Arenas and he was just showing the cabbie that the gun had no ammo, that he'd left it at home, so really that should be OK. Either that or he'd just lost to the cabbie in a hot match of paper, rock, scissors and refused to pay up. After all, gun does beat rock...
  5. Well, normally I'd agree with you but I know who I want and they don't have to wait for him. Give me Cowher or give me death.
  6. Mort also reported that the sun still rises in the East and there is a 100% chance of it being dark tonight.
  7. 4.6 is slow for 6'4" 258lbs? Plus he probably hasn't run a 40 since high school. IMO, people get too hung up on the point number. Players don't have to think when they are running a 40, if they run fast but think slow they play slow. If they think fast and anticipate well they play faster than they time. Not to mention that running in gym shorts is a joke and they should make people run in full pads.
  8. Well, because the Steelers are owned by the Rooneys who know what they are doing and the Bills are owned by RW who thought it might be fun to own a football team. After this much time there is nobody left to blame.
  9. I did point out that Sparano had been a D-II Head Coach previously. I was just pointing out a reason why Grimm isn't and hasn't been a coordinator. FWIW, Pittsburgh didn't hire Ken Whisenhunt either and he's working out pretty well in AZ. They decided to go totally outside the organization and start fresh like they did when they hired Cowher to follow Noll. Noll had strongly recommended Tony Dungy who had served for Noll (as DB coach and DC) for several years but they went outside the organization for Cowher.
  10. Except, at the time, Grbac had just come off a 28 TD 4100 yard season with the Chiefs, was much hyped and was supposed to be a huge upgrade over Dilfer who had just won the Super Bowl with them. Grbac was an epic fail in Baltimore and screwed up what should have been a dynastic run for the Ravens. Now that could be on Ozzie Newsome too, but Billick was chronically incapable of fielding a quality QB in Baltimore. Grbac, Tony Banks, washed up Randall Cunningham, washed up Steve McNair, Anthony Wright, Kordell Stewart, etc. The Grbac fail caused the trade of a 2 and a 1 to NE for the pick they used to whiff on Boller. The Pats* used the #1 to pick Vince Wilfork the following year which just compounds the fail even further.
  11. See but here's the thing. Grimm isn't JUST the OL coach. He's also designated as Assistant Head Coach which means the only job he can take while under contract, without specific permission from the Cardinals, is a HC job. Anything else would be a lateral move and that isn't kosher. The Bills have the same set-up with Bobby April. That, as much as anything, is a big reason why Russ hasn't been a coordinator and isn't up for coordinator discussion now. He can't. FWIW, Tony Sparano wasn't a coordinator either. He was a D-II HC and had several NFL job such as TE coach and OL Coach. He held basically the same title with the Cowboys as Grimm does with the Cardinals. OL Coach/Asst. HC. I don't hold that against Grimm at all for an HC position. HC has to be a delegator and coordinator of coaches. He is the vision guy and the staff has to be the worker bees.
  12. Of course...Mr. Billick drafted Kyle Boller and kicked Trent Dilfer to the curb for Elvis Grbac so I think his QB judgment needs to be questioned a tad.
  13. He is and you got sold. What an interesting coincidence that Jauron was fired right before the Christmas shopping season got fired up and not the week before (or any other myriad of times) when the team was actually much much worse. How odd that it leaked that RW was willing to pony up 10 mil and they were meeting with Shanahan etc. Brandon sold hope AGAIN and we all bought it AGAIN. The Bills aren't getting anyone. Say hello to your new HC Johnny Retread or Bobby Second Rate Cooridinator
  14. Anyone who voted no should remember that one meaningless win against the Jets in 2003 caused the Bills to draft Lee Evans at #13 instead of Ben Roethlisberger at #10, one ahead of Pittsburgh. Of course the Bills then traded up later on to take JP Losman but we'll let all of that go because I'd trade Evans for Roethlisberger any day, let alone all the extra stuff too.
  15. Call me evil but my first thought was "and know we're trusting in alcoholic former running backs for quality information, guidance and decision making?"
  16. You mean we'll have to reel in last week's three ring circus? Perish the thought...
  17. What happens if he throws for 300 yards twice? Then we hear the other faction prattle on about Atlanta's terrible pass defense and how Indy was really only playing their 9th string. Where's the downside to playing Brohm here?
  18. See my rules are the opposite. No Bills, period. Every time I draft one they either stink or get hurt. It's not like I'm rooting for Welker to do well. It's just sort of inevitable isn't it? It makes it easier to take. Here's the lineup. Favre Welker Calvin Johnson Santonio Holmes Chris Johnson Maurice Jones Drew Antonio Gates Rob Bironas Pittsburgh's Defense Calvin Johnson, Bironas, and Pittsburgh were waiver claims during the year. I drafted Favre with my last draft pick on a flier. I have McNabb on the bench.
  19. ...and since Perry Fewell threatened to cut OL's fingers off. You know, whatever does it for ya.
  20. I'm very excited. I'm in the semi-finals in fantasy football and have Wes Welker. He's good for an automatic 10 grabs just by falling out of bed. Other than that? Meh....
