Glad you're so knowledgable of that inside joke. I forgot you were there when I was having that private conversation with a couple of friends. Oh that's right you weren't so you have no clue what the hell that is even about.
But will he play more than 12 games a year? I mean it was always fun watching Jennings replacement in those 4-5 games when he got a hang nail, or whtever.
We don't need another 2nd tier DE. Ours are fine. We need DT, OL, possilby a big #1 WR, safeties, possibly CB, and QB and LB depth. We do not need TE, small WR's, DE's, RB, K, or P.
And if you are so knowledgable, rather than being a prick why don't you point to someplace with all of the salary cap info for all of these players. It really doesn't change that much from year to year and comparing LB's from last year to this year should be within 5% or so. That said, Crowell still would be in the top 30 LB's and doesn't deserve it regardless of of that small average increase.
Regardless, at no time has Crowell proven that he should ever be in the top 30 LB's regardless of timing/resignings.
This made no sense as he was a restricted FA, and could have been forced to sign for about 700K next year, unless a team was willing to offer him big money and a fairly high draft pick.
I finally watched this based on recommendation from folks here. Sorry but this was way overhyped and an okay made for TV movie. It took me two days, as I fell asleep in the middle of it.
Good link, but with that salary that puts Crowell in the top 30 salary wise as far as LBers go. Even or ahead of Suggs, Diggs, Bullock, Porter, Morgan. Sorry but Crowell by any stretch, and his being inactive early is not "starting quality" on a good football. He certainly is not top 30 in the NFL, and probably not top 100 lb in the NFL.
This is a bad deal for the Bills.
He has.
We already had two high round draft picks in Shoebal and Denney, yet the year after he drafted Denney he picked Kelsay.
There are some that didn't understand picking Mcgahee when you had Henry. Me I liked the pick but I can understand the problem with drafting a RB when you have 1000 runner.
This seems to be a theme where rather then drafting for need he seems to want to be cute in his picks. Especially high round draft picks.
Maybe. But how can you do that unless the coach and GM have basically both been told they are here next year and to start working towards that means. That maybe Crowells only hope to play well because otherwise he gets overworked and cannot shed blocks.
The college game and Pros is different. If you remember early in the year when both Fletcher was down, they had Crowell in the middle at first, but he sucked so bad that they moved Spikes over and Crowell outside. Then when Spikes was down and Fletch still out, they shifted Posey into the middle because Crowell was just getting eaten alive.
If we do also, then we had better get a true Nose tackle, who can tieup 2 blockers. In addition, our DE's are too light, and would probably mean Edwards is going back outside where he is probably better suited, as a DE in a 3-4 set.
That's insane. Why are we paying Crowell that much? He can't play the middle, he is undersized to play over the TE in Posey's position, and Spikes has the weakside.
In addition, over 2 million a year on a barely adequate LB is just plain business stupid. There are plenty of starters in the league who make a lot less then that who gladly would have come here for that money and done a lot better, and been more versitile.
Un friggen real.
That's a nice list and all but you also have to consider the situation that each is in. For example, Adam Terry is a LT for Baltimore. So do you propose that they sit Ogden to start Terry? No. Baltimore picked him up as Ogden has started to show some chinks and injuries and are looking to the future.
The picking of parrish doesn't make sense as he is never going to be more then a ST returner with the #3 or #4 WR spot on the side. Not what this team needed, especially since we had Moulds, Evans and Reed.
Problem with Plame was she was unique in that she had "official" cover since she was an ambassadors wife working in the country. So her role as a CIA op was "secret" she had a get out of jail free card with her red passport that most NOCs do not get.
Ahhh .... yes.... another one who has not paid any attention. My point was not to shift blame, but reather this has been ahppening a long time, and I have no issue with it. Basically I am telling you and everyone else this is nothing more then a media and democrat slam at Bush, because Clinton and crew was doing it as well. The documentation has been out there for years, and just now is it becoming and issue because the lemming masses have no clue.
