  1. I don't ever remember Elway bouncing around looking like peter !@#$ing cottontail.
  2. All your answers here: Classic Thread
  3. I believe he is in LA gives wind jobs to Kobe.
  4. Williams I understand but Ngata is a DT. Unlikely that Brick would be matched against him.
  5. I think we should trade our entire draft, ala a Ditka move, for him. He can be our Little Rickie.
  6. You know what they say about sh-- and walls. Throw enough, some will stick.
  7. Like I said, not really watching the news lately. Just heard this little snippet and found it funny. We'll see who really was "involved" and "greedy". A lot of the hype is probably election year BS, and when the facts come out or don't, my guess is they were either all equally guilty or not guilty (as they will all agree to drop it). But the news media will never allow the facts to come out.
  8. No he cut them in the years, when the big moneys were due.
  9. Yeah, we'll see when it comes time to pay for Offensive Linemen. Ralph has shown time and again he'll pay for "big name" players, to help boost jersey and marketing reveue, but it's tough to market big fat oline guys, and therefore he never ponies up money over the longhaul. If he breaks out the purse and signs Bentley or Hutch, I'll say I am sorry, but otherwise, we will always get tier 2 guys on the line, unless we draft them, and therefore pay the "lower" rookie salaries.
  10. Ben was not pegged to start his first year. Only with the injury to Maddox was he able to show what he had. The fact is Pittsburgh didn't design the offense for Ben, but he sure did well with it. Banks, Bledsoe, Bulger, Marino, Kelly, Culpepper, Garcia, Leftwich, The Mannings, Mcnabb, Palmer, Favre, Plummer all played significant time in their first or second years, and played at or above average. Sure there are planty of others that took longer to develop such as Testeverde, Dilfer, etc.... But they typically did it much later and with a different team.
  11. D'brick will probably be a Fina type of LT, maybe a little better. Good on the speed rushers, struggle against the power guys. Overall pretty good, but may need TE/FB support on a game to game basis.
  12. I know, I am probably late, but I have ignored the news lately. But I just heard that over 80 Democrats were recipients of Abrahamoff money. Wow, Pot meet Kettle. http://www.capitaleye.org/abramoff_recips.asp?sort=N
  13. His problem with accurracy is basically the same as Vick. Decent arm, not as good as Vicks, but he basically gets his feet mixed up. Maybe too athletic for his own good partially, and doesn't quite understand the technique needed to setup and step into the throw. Manning does this alot, if you watch, he bunny hops, and never really settles. Manning however seems to be able to overcome the poor throwing techinue. Losman, and most QB's cannot. Again it really is an issue more with his feet. Think about how when you say someone throws like a girl, a lot of the reason is more then just the wristy throw but a lot of times from lot stepping into the throw. Basically that is his accurracy issue, he throws like a girl.

  17. Sniper duty on Bilicheck.
  18. Russ Brandon named Executive VP of Business operations.
  19. Jim Overdorf named Vp of football administration.
  20. I hear biting passengers, kicking the cockpit door and jumping from the airplane can get security pretty quick.
  21. Why is Brad Roll still the conditioning coach?
  22. Or possibly he feels JP won't develop and therefor needs to ride the pine and be a backup. Life in the NFL is to short to allow anyone including a QB 3 years to develop into a below average QB, especially when the average time a player spend in the NFL is 4 years. Sorry but a QB has got to start showing something by year two and be the best QB on the team by year 3, or it's time to find another one.
  23. It's just Ralph being cheap again.
