But at the same time these are the "leaders" that we as parents want our children to look up to for guidance. If the president has no moral judgement whatsoever, then who do the kids look up to? Parents teachers, judges, politicians have to be morally sound, and if not gone.

Blogs from fredericksburg, VA area election workers say that voting is already double what they expected. Since that area tends to be heavy republican, it could be interesting. Of course having the gay marriage amendment probably brought out more then normal in the area. One area had about 1/3 of the voters leave because it was backed up so bad. I wonder if my friend from the Stafford polls last year should up there.

It's been bad here lately. In Woodbridge during the last election the Repubs had a big (20 foot x 30 foot) sign along with repub HQ address info, on a major intersection. Someone burned it to the ground about 2 weeks before the election. In the 2004 elction we had the guy checking us in get arrested because he purposely was going too slow, and taking 10 minutes or so per person. When he was told he needed to check Id's quicker, he started yelling and saying what difference did it make, Everyone here was voting for that Gosh Damn Bush anyways and he was just going to make it hard. Needless to say a police officer showed up and escorted him out.
