  1. Just checking in. Was great to see our rookie get a sack on the first drive, and against the much hyped tackle. Keep it coming!
  2. Speaking of the 18 draft, this never fails to make me laugh, hearing Rosen say he's coming for Brady's SB record. The guy does have a very punchable face
  3. What was wrong with ookie cookie? Damn internet generation
  4. It's funny, I'd almost forgotten about Lawrence. He hasn't been as hyped in the build-up to the season as a lot of 1st picks are, probably because no one gives a ***** about the Jags
  5. Me too, I assumed it was another word for poontang
  6. I could see Darnold having a good year in Carolina, if that happens and if Wilson sucks the Jets boards are going to be a rich source of entertainment all year
  7. I know, I've been following his 'struggles' a lot this week. It's funny seeing Jets fans getting their panties in a twist about it. The rookie struggles don't sway my thinking too much, it's to be expected, but this sort of stuff does make me even more intrigued about the upcoming season
  8. I'm always fascinated by the first round QBs every year, all the debates around them, their weaknesses and strengths etc. Out of all the positions in football, there's no other that inspires so many arguments and strong opinions. As someone who doesn't follow college ball, I'm interested to know what people think of this year's crop, which you see as being busts, which you see as being average with a sort of career back-up future, and which you see as being great. I'm trying to watch the tape of them at the moment but I've only seen Wilson so far. My lack of game study has really shown through because one second I think he's going to be a great player down the line, then other times it dawns on me that so many of his games look like practice sessions where he has all day to scan the field and his receivers are wide open. But all in all there's something about the kid that makes me think he's going to succeed. Not just his abilities but his attitude and self belief. How do you guys see the class of 2021 turning out when it's all said and done? These things are always fun to revisit after three or four years. We have some real college experts here so I'm really interested to hear your opinions (I swear I'm not gathering info for any sort of bet...)
  9. Well he did genuinely laugh and sneer at Allen getting in the top 100 players after his second season. By all means disagree but he was just laughing like it was a joke, then said he wouldn't put him in the top 200, which was insane and showed he never bothered to watch the games. I at least expect these experts who get paid to talk about football to watch some of the games.
  10. I just watched this, he's great. Really love the guy and so glad they picked him back in 2018
  11. I really like her, seen a lot of videos with her on Youtube
  12. https://forums.jetnation.com/topic/160923-does-zach-wilson-suck/ This is some funny reading though. The Jets forum is the only other one I read regularly, I actually think a lot of those guys are pretty funny. They can laugh at themselves and how bad their team has been, kind of reminds me of here.
  13. I think winning attracts a lot of new fans who can really have their heads up their asses. Not to say they're all new fans but I've seen it with the chiefs, a lot of the most obnoxious ones are guys who started following them when mahomes became a star and they won a super bowl. Most fans who have been through the bad times know not to get too cocky because they're just thankful to have some wins. I do like to laugh at jets fans though
  14. Pick me Josh. I provide good home cooked meals and our feet are roughly the same size so we can share each other's shoes
  15. Now there's no question this guy deserves to be in.
  16. Yeah, Manning is an interesting one and when he does make it I think the decision will be polarising with fans. On the one hand I don't think he should, but to beat Brady twice and to do it with game winning drives the way he did, that in itself will be enough to push him in. I have no problem with Manning getting in because to see the Giants leave Brady and Belichick crying on the sidelines not once but twice were truly wonderful moments in my NFL life. The first one especially, when Plax caught that TD I jumped in the air as though the Bills had won a SB.
  17. Yeah I do get the argument for him being in there. He did bookend his career brilliantly with the Super Bowls for different teams, and very nearly pulling off a win for the Cards. The down years in the middle have always bothered me with him
  18. The reason they think that is because they have this perception that Allen was hot garbage (this is a term I've heard a lot when people talk about him) his first 2 years. The idea is that he was terrible for 2 seasons, then came out of nowhere with a great year and will therefore regress. Most Bills fans know different because we actually watch the games. Earlier today I watched the highlights from his rookie year and was reminded about all the things I was thinking back then. Lots of lowlights as well, but the guy had a swagger and intensity from day one that the stat sheet couldn't show. He also improved consistently, then continued that trajectory during his second season, then obviously his third. And as I've said many times, people need to see who he was playing with on offense during his rookie year. Zay Jones, Benjamin, Deonte Thompson. Robert Foster, Vlad Ducasse, Russell Bodine, John Miller, Jordan Mills. That line, with the exception of Dawkins, was horrific and yet the guy showed enough poise and potential that you could see he was going to be a really good one once he got more experience and a better supporting cast.
