    Comp picks are the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in professional sports. I will die on that hill. You shouldn’t get anything for losing your free agents. You have the opportunity to keep them same as another team has to sign them.

    I’d bring him back at 1.5 again for A year. Not much more than that.

    While I agree, I wonder what the incentives are. Usually when an agent has to pull out the “up to” card it means he didn’t do too well.

    Chandler Jones, Cordarelle Patterson, trade for Fletcher Cox. Draft WR, CB, LB, line depth.

    One year deal? Would have liked to have him in that. Unless the Lions grossly overpaid, which I doubt given the lack of coverage this signing has so far.

    Love to hear this. I’m sure the competition is fierce though. I just can’t see a way they can realistically fit him in. Hoping I’m pleasantly surprised.

    My pipe dream is still Chandler Jones. Although I don’t see it as much of a possibility given the cap situation.

    Just a horrendous contract. Agents will want this to set the market, I doubt GMs will fall for it. Above Average player getting paid to suddenly be great.

    Probably what we would have to shell out for Chandler Jones. Don’t see it as a very realistic option, unfortunately.

    Never wanted him at the salary he was going to command. Find your WR in the draft so he’s cost controlled.

    I don’t think they can cut him with much cap savings ATM. Post June 1 I think they get minor relief. But more than likely, he’s on the team until next off season. Not when accounting for his dead cap.

    Can’t wait to see the money on this one. No one wanted him last year. He sits for a year and doesn’t play, and somehow everyone forgot his Chicago tape and the reasons no one wanted him last off season.

    I’d be fine with it if he came cheap. But don’t really believe WR needs to be at the top of the free agency needs pile.
