I COULD believe in Levy as GM
30dive replied to CircleTheWagons's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes Yes Yes and Yes again, as much as I am looking forward to this breath of fresh air in Buffalo either of these two men running the ship could, as Plenz.. puts it, have "nature take its rightful course", the Bills not only need depth on the field they will need depth in the front office. I am also hopeful that Marv will help Ralph negotiate, and bring in a minority partner/s who will take over ownership of the franchise after Ralph has gone to that great hall of fame in the sky. -
Gentlemen (and Ladies) It is time for us to sit back, watch and listen. The orgaizations structure has been determined. MM is the head coach and he will have the benefit of having a HOF coach to work for. Just a couple of days ago I like many here was ready to say goodbye to 'ol Mike but this is not the direction our beloved owner wants to go and I for one can live with that. Let's be honest here, didn't it seem like for everything we all knew needed to happen, like obtaining a d-line and an o-line and playing a young QB especially when the team's playoff outlook had passed TD just seem to want to prove he was right and teh rest of the world was wrong? I do not think all of his (TD) moves were bad, it was just the application of those moves. Marv Levy WILL know what to do, and MM knows what he needs to become competitve again and allow this once proud franchise to become respected once again. If I may twist an old saying...Bring in the Old to help out the New. God Speed!

And he worked for Charlie Casserly

This thread is getting Old.

I'd bring my two 7 and 10 year old kids. Most of the stuff on Beal (sp) St. is kid friendly. The only bad part is this is a roughly 16 hour trip about 820 miles, you are traveling nearly all of Virginia and Tennessee. And don't forget ELVIS!!!!!

Saturday morning I got up early, put on my long johns, dressed quietly, made my lunch, grabbed the dog, slipped quietly into the garage to hook the boat up to the truck, and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour. There was snow mixed with the rain, and the wind was blowing 50 mph. I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad throughout the day. I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed. There I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispered, "The weather out there is terrible." She sleepily replied, "Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that sh-- .."

I want that Geico guy......YOU CAN DOO ET!!!!!!!!!!

Never lived there but have visited a couple times, and the wife and I have really enjoyed it. I was hoping against all hope that the Bills Saints game this past season had been moved to Memphis. Great music, clubs and food!

Montana flew into Syracuse???? Hmmm...That's what 150 miles to Buffalo? It's a trick I tell you, Montana is going to be named OC on Friday. Take that to the bank.

Will you be brining back Fried Baloney Sandwiches to teh Ralph? -
By Ernesto Londoo Updated: 9:59 a.m. ET Jan. 4, 2006 WASHINGTON - Acquitting a Germantown man who exposed his buttocks during an argument with a neighbor, a Montgomery County Circuit Court judge ruled yesterday that mooning, while distasteful, is not illegal in Maryland. "If exposure of half of the buttock constituted indecent exposure, any woman wearing a thong at the beach at Ocean City would be guilty," Judge John W. Debelius III said after the bench trial, reversing the ruling of a District Court judge. Debelius made clear his disdain for the defendant, calling the alleged act "disgusting" and "demeaning." The outcome could have been different, he suggested, if the man had been on trial for "being a jerk."

Hmmm......Marv worked for the Bills as a pre-season game analyst during Bullough's last days. And was promortted to head coach mid season, not a bad insurance policy.
-
But, but don'r we need a WR if Emoulds leaves?
-
Apparently so.

Color in there cheeks requires sailing naked........I'm sorry that wasn't a very pretty picture.

OK OK OK Settle down folks ( I do like the AARP stadium idea), This might not be too bad, Marv is not going to run the football operations he is going to be Ralphs eyes and ears, he is the guy Ralph trust, and knows will give him the straight poop. Marv will help Modrak and Mularky in selcting new coaches, free agents and retention of some current Bills. Modrak is going to run the player side, Overdorf is going to run the cap, Brandon is going to run the "business", Mularky is going to coach and Marv will provide the glue or denture grip if you will. It's good for PR purposes, gives the average fan a soft warm and fuzzy feeling, allowing them to remember the good ol days and gives Ralph the confindence that a "friend" is at One Bills Drive. This is not MY ideal set up, but it certainly is not the worst.

Any fans of rock band House of Freaks?

It almost has too! Something very strange about a multiple murder, appearently nothing taken from the house and the early reports had them all bound. Yesterdays paper had one of the children retuning home about ten, and mom came up from the basement (were they all were found dead) to greet the child and she appeared "ashen", she was short and claimed to not be feeling very good. This has all the makings of a Patricia Cornwell novel. -
Wyche should stay as QB coach. There are quite a few quality coordinators out there. I also like the idea of Norv Turner as OC.

Does this organizational structure make sense?

A Brandon is the business development and marketing guy and will (should) probably run non-football part of the office. Jim (?) Overdorff will deal with the cap. -

This whole Harvey family murder has really torn up this town. Although Richmond has never known as being one of the safest cities, this murder of two parents and two very young children is really troubling. The same day a father and his daughter were killed in what appears to be unrelated. Very sad day these families that seemed to have touched a lot of people. -

Adam is right on here..........But If some people here seem to be ugly about TD it has more top do with the outcome of this season than it does about the tenure of TD. Whether we like it or not TD just might have saved this team. We were in salary cap hell and TD pretty quickly pulled us out, he was savy enough to aquire players vis free agency and the draft that inspire people to buy season tickets and to give us hope. He sold the Ralph out and built aguably the best summer training camp in the NFL. He also brought in two head coaches that IMO will someday be very good head coaches, sorry folks but Greg Williams is a brainiac who has worked for the likes of Jeff Fisher and now Joe Gibbs, He's had his taste at the HC position and now he will refine himself under HOF coach Joe Gibbs. Mularky has the coaching tools to become a good head coach, unfortunatly once again Buffalo was the test market for a rookie head coach who was not given the best tools on the field to win, specifically an OL to protect a young inexperienced QB and could not open even a seem for a very good running back. Sorry Tom, we thank you for all the good you have done but Buffalo needs a winner now! Maybe just maybe next year might be the year, but we can't afford to be in the same position in January 2007 looking for change. No hard feelings, but it's time to part ways. Thank you and good luck!

Gregg Easterbrook note on Buffalo
30dive replied to fairweather fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How dare you attack Shelton or Shaud Williams. MM knows they can be super for the Bills.........This is why they get more snaps than WM.
