Brown didn't command respect. It was Diggs and everyone else. Teams have to respect Sanders. And then with Knox emerging, our receiving corp is pretty dang strong.

I'm use to seeing corporate culture and values expressed in everything they do. They live it and breath it. It doesn't only apply to the "prominent employees in leadership roles." I should have said offensive speech vs. free speech.

For me, it's simple. The NFL needs to decide if they're going to "woke" or not.

This extreme would be to cancel life, and no, no one wants to do that. Because of this is the solution, you and I are getting cancelled too. We need some tolerance. We need to allow people to make mistakes and grow, learn and develop from them.

This is the larger point in this issue. We all have earned the right to be "cancelled". Where do you draw the line? How many of you have thought about Josh Allen's tweets heading into the draft, while reading this thread? We continue to take some very dangerous positions in our attempt to cancel only some things.

You see, I don't want to cancel anyone. I don't want to rationalize selective cancellation. Free speech is going to be offensive. What Gruden did was stupid and inappropriate. How these entertainers live their lives and what they say in their songs is even more so stupid and inappropriate. How the NFL can hire one and not the other is them being inconsistently selective in their management and social and cultural images they want to portray.

You can rationalize it and some will also be able to. Others won't be able to. Entertainers are seen and heard by millions, including children. Eminen might have the word "fagg..." more times in one of his songs than the number of emails Gruden has sent in his lifetime. The inconsistency wouldn't be good optics in my opinion. We'll have to agree to disagree. I think these entertainers have more influence on more people than an NFL coach has.

The point we're all at, and we just need to sit back and bask in all of this, is that our QB is in every single conversation regarding who the best QB is right now. I can live with that.

One of the talking heads this morning said exactly this. On a first down, you don't want your QB doing this. On a third down, when you need to gain the line, one is OK with this. To me, the point of the response is that you can't call out one questionable call and make any point of it, really. In this context, both of these calls were on the same drive. One negated a first, the other gave us a first.
