I thought I caught on the post game show that when MM was put on the defensive & asked about starting JP, he said JP's not fully comfortable with his all of his drops yet & really not ready to play. Sure he has missed practice time due to injury, but not mental reps. Why is JP not ready yet another rookie, Roethlisberger, has his team sitting at 5-1? Did anyone else hear MM say this? Or is MM's thinking that: 1) they're afraid to play JP fearing he'll get killed behind this OL, or 2) they're afraid the OL is so bad it will ruin JP's confidence & progress, or 3) they're not ready to replace Drew until they're mathematically eliminated Thoughts?

No doubt Adams plays. In fact, if I'm Gray I start him & see how he plays - I would not want to dis him in front of his old team by starting Edwards. My thinking is that I hope Sam pays me back for starting him against his old team by giving me an extra large effort.

Willis has superior hands, is a better blocker, and more sure with the football. He runs with more power and is an all-around better football player. If he can stay healthy, he is our future.

None of the TV announcers raised this question, but why didn't Clemens aim (high) at Renteria (assuming Clemens saw the runner breaking on the pitch)? If Clemens hit him with the pitch it would have been a dead ball and the runner would have had to go back to 3rd. C'mon Roger, pay attention to the base runners!!!

Some of you apparently think that deals like Gray's are just sitting on the shelf ready for TD to pull the trigger on at just the right moment. I happen to think getting these logistics done is in most cases a bit more complicated than that. Ya'all are reading too much into the timing.

Look, even missing 2 defensive starters, they are in the top 10 in defense. I am not thrilled with Gray, but based on the overall performance of the D you just get this done & lock him in when you can. Period.

I can speak from experience here. Without getting into specifics, my name made me RIPE for ribbing for the first 16 years of my life. You deal with it, OK? It prepares you for the difficulties that life brings, and it prepares you for dealing with the many a$$wipes that confront you throughout your life. Ultimately, it's a character builder. In the long run it's not a big deal and the kid will become a better adult as a result. Don't decide on your kid's name based on the possible reactions of a few 3rd grade goofballs, decide based on what you want the kid to ultimately become. It worked in my case, right?
