is that the offense as presently constituted simply cannot function effectively against good defenses. This means that we will never win anything meaningful on our present course, even though MM's run-first philosophy seems capable of squeezing out consistently winning regular seasons.
Assuming that a winning season alone isn't good enough, how can we go deep into the playoffs? I think the key is to get better play out of the QB position, especially against the top defenses when quality QB play matters most. Unfortunately, I don't think that JP is capable (yet) of leading the team.
My suggestion is to bring in a "bridge" QB like Kurt Warner that can take over the team until JP is ready. He performed pretty well for the Giants before being yanked in favor of Manning. Change can be a good thing, and I say that sticking with Drew might get us winning seasons, but won't get us far beyond that.
