  1. No, of course you are not bitter. If I'm not mistaken, Brandon is credited with successfully regionalizing the franchise (yes, the move to Pittsford was a part of this) and is most likely the primary force behind the Toronto deal. When you can deliver healthy new sources of revenue to your boss, you are generally in good shape, employment wise.
  2. I guess at the University AT Buffalo they don't teach proper sentence structure - in your sentence, the word you were looking for is "lies" rather than "relies". Just saying...
  3. Exactly. If the driver for Ralph was playing Trent, he would just pick up the phone and tell Dick what he wanted and Dick would comply.
  4. That article was not one of Tim's better efforts, and in particular his list of "other" candidates was uninspired and included no rationale for who was included and who wasn't. Also, the photo with Perry Fewell's name below it, wasn't Perry.
  5. This article was Lombardi's application to be GM of the Bills. He says the front office needs to develop a detailed plan for the type of team/players they want, knowing full well that the current cast of characters are incapable of doing this.
  6. It IS a desperation move on Dick's part, no question about it. What will be interesting to see is, after the Bills go to 3-7 and inch closer to being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, if the "win now" moves continue in week 11 or if the "let's see what we have on the roster" forces win out. To me that will be an indication of how widespread the feeling is in the front office that there will be a full housecleaning. If you have any "juice" in the front office and are caclculating that you MIGHT have a future with the Bills, you try to justify your job by getting your picks on the field to show promise for next year. If you think you're about to be fired and your only hope is to win now, you advocate panic moves.
  7. Interesting statement. Can you substantiate or explain how you come to this conclusion?
  8. Well stated, I agree completely!
  9. Totally agree. Not sure I've ever heard of another NFL team entering a game with only TWO healthy tackles. Only the Bills.
  10. Was it an injury issue or have the coaches just concluded that he's less productive than Byrd, Scott, and George Wilson?
  11. When VY was forced out of the pocket to his left in the second half, Poz took a great angle on him. NOT.
  12. I agree, he was much better than I expected.
  13. Sully is right, nobody can read Ralph's mind - including Ralph, unfortunately. Sounds like Vic has no inside knowledge here, just speculating. I will believe that changes are coming, when they are reported.
  14. Its amazing to me that with Jonathan Scott being out today for personal reasons, the Bills enter the game with only TWO healthy tackles, one of them being, ahem, kirk Chambers. It blows my mind.
  15. Tim, do you know if any of your colleagues has done a research piece on the frequency of injuries on teams with "Tampa 2" schemes vs. other defenses? Intuitively it seems that smaller, quicker players that epitomize the "Tampa 2" scheme might go down at a higher rate than their larger counterparts. This might make for an interesting article someday. Thanks
  16. Any debate about Vick is losing the forest for the trees. Don't you people see that this is a discussion about how to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic? The whole thing needs to be blown up, starting with the front office.
  17. oops is right.
  18. and the Bills couldn't rip our hearts out again. It really was a good day - maybe the best bye week Sunday I've ever had come to think of it.
  19. GREAT post. Whitner is a big mouthed underachiever. Anyone remember when lil Sammy Morris ran him over on a sweep left at the Ralph a year or two ago? That was just sad.
  20. Here's my question: what established coach would want to work with our front office?
  21. Here's my question: what established coach would want to work with our front office?
  22. My choices in order would be: 1) Jeff Fisher - all around great coach (if the Titans make a dumb move and fire him) 2) Mike Leach - his offensive creativity would bring some level of interest to this team - this selection has Brandon written all over it. 3) Marty Schottenheimer - just knows how to win (ok, at least knows how to get to the playoffs and is friends with Buddy). The problem is, our coaching options are limited because of the weak front office - what coach realistically would want to come to Buffalo and work with/for this group?
