  1. Just a friendly reminder Doug, you are no longer the GM! BTW Watkins and EJ suck!
  2. Not a snowballs chance in hell. He’d be lucky to get the $10-12M range
  3. But I thought he was a roster lock according to some of our resident subject matter experts on personnel.
  4. I would start by trading a 3rd for Justin Fields and drafting Marvin Harrison Jr in the first round.
  5. Tua has been best QB in the league for the past two years (weeks 1-4).
  6. $19.8 plus they have to sign Chris Jones. They were awful last year with him off the field.
  7. Franchise Snead and sign Jones to Aaron Donald $. I think that would be a wrap for them in big FA spending.
  8. Duh, the plan is to lose to the Chiefs in the playoffs. Everyone knows that…
  9. Only chance we have of making it to the SB under McD is if Burrows and Mahomes both sustain season ending injuries in the same season.
  10. If this draft goes according to most draft pundits, it will be historically unprecedented based on my brief research. IMO, 3 QBs and 3 WRs going in the top 10 is pretty unlikely. It’s rare when 3 QBs are taken top 10, it’s extremely rare when 3 WRs go top 10, combine them and it’s unprecedented (feel free to fact check I could be wrong). I’ll side with historics and say 2 QBs (Williams/Daniels) and 2 WRs (Harrison/Nabers) go top 10. Even with a loaded WR class, I don’t think we will see the record broken for WRs taken in the 1st round (7 in 2004) but I wouldn’t rule it out.
  11. You can asses all you want that Ariza is not an upgrade, but until he has played a full regular season you have no data points to definitively say that he isn’t.
  12. Have to agree, but his OL and skill players are exceptional at all levels. Give something like that to Josh and this offense would never punt, even when we do shotgun handoffs and awfully designed WR screen plays.
  13. If saving $3M+ per by signing Ariza instead of an all world punter (with a potential minimal drop off) allows you to re-sign or sign an impact player, it’s a major upgrade.
  14. For all we know Ariza is an upgrade at a fraction of the cost. Chiefs are up against the cap and have multiple big time free agents they want back, all of which are significantly more important than a punter. Including financials, there’s “no other way of seeing it” this is an upgrade.
  15. It’s not a downgrade when you consider the salary cap hit of Ariza vs Townsend. Maybe a 5% drop off in productivity for an 80% cap savings?
  16. That’s a shame, he would have been the best punter and FG kicker on our team for a fraction of the cost.
  17. I don’t have any names specifically but for sure we need to add at 2 WR that can get open and catch the gd ball. We need a RB that can catch the ball in the RZ. We need a kicker that can consistently make FGs. We need a starting center to take over for Morse next year. We need better backup OL. I doubt it would ever happen, but If some scrub team was willing to do a sign and trade where we could rework the contracts of Knox, Von, and Diggs and have a minimal cap hit, I’d offer them our 1st for their 3rd or 4th.
  18. Defense is going to get annihilated by good offenses regardless of who you sign or draft. I’d go all offense in FA and Draft, only add defense vis UDFA’s and bargain bin FA’s excepting vet minimum. Way too much money invested in this defense that folds every post season.
  19. McDermott is this teams biggest injury. Until Pegs decides to permanently IR him, this team is not beating the Chiefs in the post season.
  20. Reduced impact for winds, yes. No impacts from winds..not a chance. The best way I can describe is to have you do an experiment. Grab an empty soda bottle and put a bunch of small pieces of paper in the bottom. With the cap off (lol) blow across the top of the bottle. What happens? When 50-70mph winds are blowing across the top of the the stadium some of that energy can mix down.
