  1. If he wins the battle at camp then he starts. Unfortunately he may pull that off due to weak competition more than anything else. I imagine McCarron was brought in to mentor and anything more is a bonus, I just wish he had done a little more in this league so far. I know the QB's from 04-05 had the pedigree, but one thing I feel gets overlooked is that Eli was behind Kurt Warner, Rivers behind Brees, Rodgers behind Favre and even Big Ben was behind Tommy Maddox I think who had played a lot in the league. 3 of 4 HoF, I wish we had something close to help this huge investment that is Josh Allen. He may be the best of the 3 come September, but I think it would be best for him (and us) to wait.
  2. Haha “stats tell the whole story” good luck with that
  3. As a fan of the sport I like Rosen and think he likely will be really good, but if I was on the coaching staff I probably would be put off when he says he might be angry at a coach if he’s not trying to his best every day. I bet there is a sense Allen is more coachable and they can fix his accuracy....if such a thing ever happened. It may not be accuracy with Allen but rather choosing the wrong option leading to incompletions and The Bills can coach himupmon how to make better reads. I hope they can.
  4. I wanted Rosen, but I’m gonna support this Allen kid. He does have ridiculous physical gifts so let’s hope the coaches are right and can put him together. I teach high school kids, they say stupid **** all the time so not gonna read into old tweets too much. That was a well played ploy by someone trying to get his client a better payday. It will be a 30 for 30in 5years
  5. Still liking our chances right now getting a guy I like
  6. No way. I don’t think Denver is really even wanting to take a QB thisndraft let alone trade up for one. I call BS
  7. We’re still at their mercy since they can stay put whereas we cannot. And ARZ is likely wanting we want too
  8. I really think the Giants take Barkley. I know Darnold is the only QB they like, but it just sounds like DG loves Barkley and is gonna grab him
  9. I’m a Giants fan and while he can be boneheaded I have to laugh at having Eli as being a bad thing haha. If you think Ryan is the ceiling and Eli the floor then I will gladly take the 2 rings while you can enjoy all the regular season accolades then choke on the biggest stage. Eli is not Rosen. Eli is nothing if not durable and soft spoken. I like Rosen, but they are not similar. I also think the team that gets Rosen will be lucky.
  10. You mean Jerry Reese?? Yeah he is awful. Maybe MacAdoo used him wrong, I don’t doubt it, but there’s hardly anything appealing about him.
  11. I said before the team to get him will be lucky. He is gonna fall down the board it sounds and is gonna be good. Just better not be New England.
  12. Not that I want to get flamed on, but I’m a Giants fan and haven’t heard a thing about this trade nor do I think it’s stupid for them to turn it down. Yeah it sounds good and probably would help them, but Gettleman wants a HoF player there and sees Barkley as some transcendent player. 12 and 22 are just not good enough. They had a miserable season and only the type of talent available at 2 makes it tolerable. If The Bills can get inside the Top Ten then yeah I see DG maybe going for it. The Bills could have a high 2019 Pick too so I don’t think picking at 12 is any foregone conclusion. We don’t need to be at 2 to get one of these guys. In 1984 The Montreal Canadiens offered their entire draft for Pittsburgh’s number one....rejecting that was hardly stupid.
  13. Whoever gets Rosen will be lucky, because I believe he will fall a bit but not past 12. Injuries are a concern, but Luck and RG3 didn’t really have injury flags and look at them now. It’s the reality of the biz. I think the personality thing is nonsense, Rosen has the best arm talent of the group and his frame can be fixed with some weight gainer and a few trips to the gym. If you think Rosen rubs people the wrong way just look at Jim Kelly or even Elway draft time. Couldn’t care less about their attitudes. Rudolph is just not that good from what I have read.
  14. Nobody in the top 5 is going to trade their pick to fall back to 12 and 21or whatever we have now because Buffalo entices them with a 3rd rounder next year. That’s ludicrous. It will take next year’s first as well to move up that high. they might be able to stand pat and get a guy, but I don’t think this year’s batch of QBs are Manuel, Locker, Ponder etc. I think some future stars in this league are coming out this year and Buffalo wisely doesn’t want to be outside looking in for the next 17 years.
  15. I respect the OP’s conviction to his stance, I just find it backwards. A real QB makes everyone better. Remember how everyone was talking about The Rams and Eagles prior to getting Goff and Wentz?? Neither does anyone else. It was the QB who unlocked their agency. We have played the “let’s build a strong defense and Oline” game a long time while starting Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jeff Tuel enough. Not sure why anyone wants to stay that course. of course the difference will be if our scouts know who’s gonna be good. If they see a 12year starter then you do it. I’m not proposing a mismanaged situation like what Andrew Luck has suffered, but even they have more reason for hope.
  16. With a franchise QB we beat JAX and then who knows. I’m new here and in the camp that they have to get a franchise QB. You’re more in favor of blue chip talents like Marcel Dareus and CJ Spiller....than a QB who can lead this team?? That to me is what spells the same failure we have seen time and again. The only thing that really matters is if our front office is right about the QB(s) they like. If he busts then it’s business as usual around here, but if they’re right then we are competitive for the next 10-12 years if not longer. This is the best look we have had a guy who can be a future star at this position since we took the last guy wearing number 12. if you love Jackson or think Mayfield might be available at 12,or at least lower than 5 then I don’t disagree with your line of thought. But if they are sure Darnold is a 10year starter then you have to do what it takes to get him and find ways to fill holes along the way for a couple years. Just my $.02. For what it’s worth Allen is the guy that scares me off.
