Way to dodge the question; I will ask it again. Do you comment on both the positives and negatives of his play, or do you just criticize? I suppose the ball just miraculously marched itself down the field for the go-ahead score, or miraculously got the Bills in position for a game tying FG. You can't even give props for that.

Antonio Brown - A hypothetical question
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol; just like your Dabol vs Allen thread last night that seemingly needed a new thread although it was discussed in nearly all the other threads. Obviously you don't. Therefore, we should just keep with mid-tier receivers! SMH -
Your opinion would have some more credibility to me if you countered your negativity with the positives in which you see (which are obviously none). You don't offer constructive criticism, you offer biased hatred plain and simple because your narrative (as you stated for the record) is that you DISLIKE the kid.

Ok; go back and watch the video of the play on YouTube and go frame by frame. When the ball is snapped, Allen looks left and sees the far side CB sitting down over Beasley watching Allen. As Beasley is in his route, the LB blows past Dawkins and has a direct shot at Allen. Allen immediately shifts to the right after his initial glance to the left and the far side CB reads Allen and bails back thus leaving Beasley open. Allen goes back shoulder to Brown as previously discussed. Allen could have gone to Beasley immediately if he wanted to I suppose, but he has a free blitzer right in his face and the far side CB would have stayed on Beasley. If Allen connects with Beasley, he is immediately tackled around the sticks.

(D) Allen stated he saw cover 0 and was going to have a one on one match-up on Brown. Brown in his post game interview said he “got tapped for a go ball “. This tells me he and Allen had some sort of pre-snap communication. The concept is if Brown beats his guy put it in front of him; if not throw a back shoulder behind the WR. Allen threw back shoulder and supposedly Brown stated he misread the route meaning he wasn’t necessarily expecting the back shoulder. If you rewatch the tape, the back shoulder pass was there, just miscommunication for an easy completion. Perhaps Allen should have known Beasley would be open, but his mind was made up upon reading the coverage and was trying to recreate the same magic he captured in the Jets game in my opinion,

Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WILCO; thanks. -
I agree, and I don't pin the loss on the defense as a whole. As I said earlier, the lack of offensive production is the bigger issue. But, I'm just saying, the defense had an opportunity to essentially close it out with a stop. It didn't happen, it is what is. Stay with me here, we are simply talking about the final (Brown's) drive as the OP stated in the opening. Yes all those other what-if's contributed, but we aren't talking about those things at the present time the Browns had the ball with 80 yds to go for a game leading (eventual winning) touchdown.

I don't think anyone is arguing that point at all. The point is, the defense still had a chance to win the game (after the offense scored mind you), and all they had to do was stop the drive. They didn't get it done on that drive and allowed the Browns to take the lead. They are damn good; except on that final drive!

Been saying this all day. Offensive shares the burden of blame, no doubt about it. However, regardless of how badass the goal line stands were today, the offense did get the lead with around 5:00 or just under to play and the defense allowed the Browns to methodically march down the field to take the lead. At one time, Chubb carried like four five defenders on his back to get a first down. Several times had them in 3rd down but kept giving up out patterns at the sticks.

Just listened to Josh's post-game presser and he admitted part of his issues in the long ball is mental; stating the thought is in his head about under throwing the ball and putting the ball in jeopardy. While Josh is ultimately responsible, I think the emphasis on protecting the football, hero ball, etc is forcing him to overthrow the ball and subconsciously thinking only his guy will have a chance at the ball, thus an overthrow. Obviously something is in is head on those, because all his other throws are coming out more naturally.

Can we attract elite WRs here with Josh

Also, during Brown's Arizona days, he had Fitz opposite taking pressure off the top. Right now, we don't have that. -
Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably. However, I never suggested that, nor did I say the defense OVERALL didn't do their job. I focused specifically on the final Brown's where the defense allowed the GO-AHEAD TD. Clearly you are one of those guys who puts the overall loss solely on the QB. If the Bills stop the Browns on the final drive, do they win - YES or NO? That's all I am saying. Clearly if Allen and the offense, the FG kicker makes kicks, we might not be in that position, but don't deny my point as not being a reality.
