  1. You do know that Hillary is to the right of Richard Nixon especially before 2012-14? She only slid to the left because of the "bad man" in the White House at the time did something he was not supposed to do which was put up resistance against her meaning running for office.
  2. The election day dinners must have been to die for in those races. A dying tradition by the way. Anyways, what is it to stand around for 10-15 minutes to push a touch screen once the turkey and stuffing start sliding down into the stomach? Maybe the Democrats are on to something?
  3. So now you are a believer in the EC? Your handlers are not going to like that little bit of independent thought.
  4. I know that you are trying to get a rise out of the "fire everyone" crowd but the fact we will most likely finish last in offense will make that least probable. It would not surprise me that the Pegula's have McDermott's ear in terms of offense only with the first pick. If we finished in the middle third of the pack in terms of offense then I would say that it was McDermott's pick to use as he sees fit.
  5. How do you guarantee something that you have no power over? If you were in the business you could've put your resume into the Bills and actually know it what you are saying is true or not. I'll give you the old ""if somebody were really capable they would already being doing it" argument. Let's face it other than a small minority of posters here most are in jobs that would not lead someone to think that they were capable of anything other than the most menial of tasks. Nobody is a janitor at a school because they choose to do so for the crap pay and dead end prospects. Get your resume into OBD TODAY!!!!!
  6. If the OP tried to think about how the federal or state governments spends 90M dollars he would have a heart attack.
  7. Granted that Paterno probably had disproportionate power but in most colleges there is an athletic director that would be another layer between the football program and hockey program. I have a problem crapping on Pegula seeing that he did not specify that Paterno receive any money.
  8. Seriously? If the Pegula's or management hamstring him that bad nobody worth bringing in in terms of coach or GM will ever want to come here. What is done is done with all the mercurial moods of Ralph over the years and the Pegula's being a little wet behind the years but you have to show future prospective employees that they will get a chance to prove themselves. Do you think that even with the flaws of Rex and the moodiness of Marrone that somebody is aching to come here when coaches on average are lasting less than 3 years. It's painful but we have to break the cycle of the coaching carousel.
  9. Sully does realize that Sandusky was in the football program and not hockey? Right? By Sully's logic everybody should have boycotted Penn State. If every school was entirely boycotted for the misdeeds of one staffer or faculty person we would not have any higher education in this country.
  10. Your ignoring the point which is on paper Pittsburgh had done far more in acquiring offensive talent than Jacksonville prior to that game. Shootout or otherwise. As far as Jacksonville's defense a lot of last season's ranking was the AFC South laying in ashes with Watson and Luck out most of that season. It would have been statistically worse if those two among others were available.
  11. The ranking you are mentioning is based on the results of all nine games played versus one game. Are you denying that less three and outs by our offense would help our defense? More sustained drives even if they had to punt after 6 plays should give the opponent less favorable starting field position which would affect their scoring.
  12. Since the name of the game is out score the other guy that much is obvious. But you can win by keeping the other guy from scoring more points than you. By your opinion Pittsburgh should have beat Jacksonville in last year's playoffs as they clearly had more offensive weapons. The Eagles won the SB because they departed from conventional wisdom on a few plays confusing Belichick versus being a pure offensive machine.
  13. I don't see Kryk's article as an indictment. It seems to me that Tremaine Edmunds as well as filling a need had a grade higher than nearly every offensive player when the Bills picked him. Cutting to the chase who is to say that Beane is wrong and everybody else is right at this point. It's going to take nearly a year from now barring injuries and suspensions to know if this plan was the right one for Buffalo. Further, any one of us here would love to get a chance to show our plan was valid if we were in the business world versus being cut to shreds in the meeting world because we were bypassing the convention of the industry before said plan had been in place any amount of time. Mahomes is on fire because he is under the tutelage of Reid and they are running a Reid oriented offense. We don't have Reid here and I recall few clammering for Reid when he was there to be had. Most of the talk was he was the Schottenheimer of his time in that great regular season record but does nothing in the playoffs. Most Eagles fans were happy to see him go and would say "what has he really accomplished" to this point? But keep riding Mahomes' jock strap if it makes you happy.
  14. A connection does not mean you want to reunite. Weather, attractions in terms of arts and entertainment are among reasons somebody might bypass Buffalo. Maybe Beane did not see a good fit in terms of skills to scheme. Maybe Beane had a number in mind and Norwell got more than what Beane wanted to pay. Star obviously was a fit in Beane's mind in terms of role versus salary. I'm hating auto-correct in terms of anytime I have to mention Beane. Not Beans, Berne's. LOL.
  15. I don't know if it is because memories are so short but yeah the book on Allen was if he reached his ceiling then he was going to be well more than a dink and dunk QB.
  16. He might have been priced higher than what Beane wanted to pay or he made have had a wish list of teams that did not include the Bills. In any event that that is one name as opposed to a list of several players or more to choose from. To fixate on one name makes as much sense as fixating on one girl you really don't know for the sake of going to the prom. Sure, she is out there but it is not a slam dunk you are going to get her.
  17. I think that the FO's approach in part was driven by the dearth of free agent offensive players. There were no big name players or even steady contributor's out there for us to have this past offseason.
  18. That would improve if our offense was out there on sustained drives keeping the other team's offense on the bench longer.
  19. The first pick for the Bills in the 2018 draft was an offensive player. Eric Wood having a career ending condition was unforeseen. So saying that McDermott completely neglected the offense is a stretch. Nothing in the way of impact players for the positions of which we were in need of on offense were there to be had in free agency. Further, run defense was top of the list of things to be addressed based on what we saw last season and was done through this past draft and FA period.
  20. If you are a season ticket holder of any NFL team and never expect poor seasons or in the case of the Bills many poor seasons then you are detached from reality. If you like sure bets then put it on falling leaves which happens every autumn or the sun rising in the East which happens every morning. If you feel the need to be always right about something or get a lift from being smug or arrogant then a professional sports team is not the right place to invest your energy.
  21. Yep, and when the Bills are doing better next year and beyond ESPN and the other sports media will be on to whatever train wreck is going at that given moment. You're making this way too hard on yourself. Honestly, if it bothers people this much go find something else to do between now and the end of the season which is not that far away anymore.
  22. What happens on other teams may not be analogous to what it going on with the Bills. One thing being we had a bad contract at first with Mario Williams and later Dareus to be purged. I'll ask did these other teams have 100M contracts on the books after the player who had it was gone? Don't think so. I'll add that I recall McDermott saying not to expect a lot this year.
  23. Mr Douglas, can I interest you in a genuine (gen-u-wine) QB that is sitting on the back of my truck?
  24. To boot we pulled a Mr Haney by selling a less than promising QB (Taylor) to the Haney Place (farm) of the NFL namely the Cleveland Browns. Just a Green Acres metaphor to go with your farm analogy.
  25. How soon that they forget the talk of opening weekend 2017.
