Nyheim Hines: Why did we bother trading for him?
Process replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same reason we signed a washed up Sanders to fill our need at WR last year. Beane has this thing where he likes a guy and will spend years trying to aquire him, even after it stops making sense. The trade for Hines is a big head scratcher. We don't run the ball. We are probably the worst screen team in the NFL. We have a very uncreative offense that will not take advantage of gadget guys like Hines. We just drafted Cook. And have Duke Johnson. We are obviously not paying Hines $5M next year. So we traded for a one year rental punt returner. We didn't give up much so whatever, but it was such an odd move. -
Why is Dorsey calling a play on 2nd and 10 from the 20 where 3/4 of the receivers are in the end zone. He is a major part of the problem. This offense lacks creativity and common sense. And his play calling is atrocious.

Jefferson doesn't even have the ball. Lewis ends up pinning it to his hand. He catches it for him. It's hard to believe the way this team loses some of these games. Unreal. -
I can't people there are people that actually think this. Mind blowing.

Can't get over this. Lewis literally pins the ball to Jeffersons hand. If lewis just stops and watches the play unfold Jefferson just drops it. He didn't even have to do anything. What a ***** moron. -
I'm guessing Dallas is looking a lot more attractive to OBJ right now

I am WAYYYYYYY more worried about Dorsey than I am Josh.

The play calls on 2nd, 3rd and 4th down were way worse then the decision to go for it. Dorsey ***** sucks.

Anyone that thinks the right move was to take an intentional safety should just stop talking football. There is zero case for taking an intentional safety there. -

Technically we are still the betting favorites to win the Superbowl. But right now it feels like we are much more of a "just get to the playoffs and anything can happen" team. -

We had 4 receivers running routes on the final play. When the ball left Josh's hand three of them were in the end zone . We were on the 20 yard line. It was second down. We needed 10 yards. Had plenty of time. And two timeouts. Wtf is Dorsey doing? Of course you could also make the case it was genius because it left singletary wide open underneath on a check down for what would likely be a first down. And then we get back to Allen playing like absolute garbage the last 2.5 games. What a mess. Uhhhh singletary was WIDE OPEN for likely a first down and Allen decided to throw it the end zone instead. -

I can't believe we couldn't execute a QB sneak to run the clock out. All Benford had to do was knock it down. Allen and Dorsey stink again. So many things. Just sick after that game. -
Right now it's mahomes and I don't see how you could make the case for anyone else.

Josh could have either run it or checked down to singletary for an easy 5-10 yards. Absolutely no idea what he was thinking. -

Where was Singletary after the 1Q? Why the ***** did we trade for Hines? Allen has become a problem. Though im confident he'll turn it around. Dorsey on the other hand is a train wreck and needs to be fired to give us any chance of winning a SB. -

We are literally missing half our defense. Dorsey needs to get his head out of his ass and respond with a TD. -

Run was the right call in that situation. Shotgun run up the middle with Duke Johnson though???? Dorsey is an absolute moron sometimes. -

I have a feeling that in March after we've won the Superbowl, we will cut Hines and wonder what the hell the point of that trade was. Head scratcher for sure. Singletary and Cook look good.
