  1. It started with just one post from the other side.
  2. That's not how amends work. You and I don't get to decide what is owed.
  3. Yes, they've been freed for 150 years, though had to fight for over another 100 years for equal treatment... On average, the white people in Asia's IQ scores and test scores in Mandarin are significantly lower than their Asian counterparts. Does this prove that white people in Asia are inherently less intelligent than their Asian counterparts? Feel free to go back to Europe if you do not want to be part of a United America.
  4. Oh you poor thing. It must be very hard on you not to be able to wash your hands of it exactly how and when you want.
  5. It's a Constitutional issue embedded in the 1st Amendment. And may be the most important aspect of the 1st Amendment. Without which the rest of the Bill of Rights would be rendered meaningless.
  6. I'd love to see the specifics of the afirmative action and special loans you speak of. Show me the numbers.
  7. I'm not surprised there are black and Asian people that have bought into the propaganda that communists are trying to drain the purity and essence of their children. But it's not the CRT, it's the fluride in the water!
  8. The same could be said of so many white people who expend tremendous energy to fight for the idea that racism has no effect in America, and America owes no one anything to make amends for the harms of racism.
  9. Ever since reading The Bell Curve I wanted to ask Charles Murray a hypothetical: If white people had been stolen away from European by the millions and held captive in slavery in Asia for hundreds of years, and during that period it was illegal for them to learn to read the native language, how would that population would fair on IQ tests and in schools in the Asian language once it was legal for them to learn to read to attend school? And if the white population performed at a significantly poorer rate than their Asian counterparts, would that prove that Asians are inherently smarter than white people?
  10. Fixed: Slavery is an extreme form of capitalism. We need to address the effects historical and current discrimination. i dON"T tHINK wE sHOULD bE tEACHING cHILDREN tHAT tEH mOST iMPORTANT cHARACTER tRAIT tHEY oWN iS tHEIR sKIN cOLOR!
  11. Didn't check the rest of the thread, but he was released without bail. Meaning released on his own recognizance. Not held without bail.
  12. Ever been to Israel? There's a reason cabbies pick you up at the airport in mercedes-benz. Germans are still paying reparations for the Holocaust.
  13. This map is pretty cool: https://map.paranoidfan.com/backers
  14. You watched that video and came to the conclusion that the learning objective was for children to conclude that they SHOULD treat people of different races differently? I guess the parable of the Good Samaritan teaches kids that they should rob people on the road and leave them for dead.
  15. No one anywhere can justify indentured servitude. But it wasn't illegal for white indentured servants to learn how to read. They had to work or buy their way out of servitude, and their children and grandchildren weren't born into slavery and with education outlawed.
  16. Except black Americans were excluded from wonderful low interest federally backed mortgage programs that gave birth to the American middle class. Working and middle class white Americans were able to accumulate over 1 Trillion dollars in equity from the programs that black people were excluded from. On top of that, working and middle class black Americans were prayed on by horribly unethical loan practices that were vicious in their ability to foreclose and take all equity.
  17. I didn't have a chance to respond last night. What I wanted to say to you was that it's not about making excuses for anything. It's literally a 1st Amendment issue so fundamental to the future unity of our country. Without the right to petition the government for the redress of grievances none of the other rights granted in the Constitution mean much at all.
  18. What dollar figure did the American economy reap from the unpaid wages of African American slavery? Bottom line dollar figure. On a somewhat related note, last month Germany offered to pay 1.2 billion in reparations to Namibia for genocide during German colonia rule. https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/germany-colonial-era-genocide-reparations-offer-not-enough-namibia-vice-2021-06-04/
  19. I wonder if Hollister had scored that TD to win the AFC West on the last play of the season if the Hawks would felt the need to bring Olsen in?
  20. Hollister had a pretty good 2019 season. But I think the last play of the week 17 matchup against the 49ers for the NFC West title had a negative impact on his 2020 season. It was 4th and goal, and Wilson hit him on the 1. Instead of plowing through for the TD, he kind of turtled to absorb the hit. And Fred Warner made the game saving tackle, propelling them to #1 seed and eventual Super Bowl birth. https://youtu.be/5_nXPsKonUE Hollister had 41 catches that year, his first in Seattle. They didn't seem to trust him as much the following year. I like Knox's speed and athleticism. I think the mental side of the game needs to slow down for him. He kind of spaz's out from time to time. But I think that aspect of his game can improve with maturity and unlock his potential. I think there are certain teams, like KC, that we match up with better in 2 TE sets. So I think Hollister can be a solid #2 receiving TE, and hope that Knox grows into his potential.
  21. I don't like people telling me what I think, and don't like being forced to defend positions that I don't hold. God I can't wait for football season to start.
  22. You are the one deliberately shifting the goal posts. You're putting an absolutist constraint on the issue. If racism isn't all encompassing in every possible situation that it is no where at all. When the truth is that the effects of racism are still with us in some ways, but not nearly as many as used to be... The fact is that 2nd generation Nigerians have parents who are the most educated demographic in the country. Children of highly educated parents, such as children of Nigerian immigrants, aren't going to do worse in school and work than their parents. That Dldoesn't prove that there's no effects of racism anywhere.
