  1. Frank would NEVER sign anything "the 3rd." Not his nature. He does sign every autograph with his number.
  2. Watching NFL Europe right now and impressed with this kid. Good hands and he can BLOCK!
  3. Where is Commander Tom these days? Last I heard he build a cabin in Allegany County, near the town of Friendship and retired.
  4. No Joke - they aren't showing it our iMax theather in Charlotte. Welcome to the Bible belt!
  5. Czaben was in Charlotte (NC) for two years. He was a mainstay and one of the best sportsradio voices I heard. He's been in Milwaukee and Washington DC. His XM radio show is great.
  6. From Steve Czaben's site Travis Henry is unhappy in Buffalo. The former Pro Bowl starting RB has seen Willis McGahee take his spot (and spotlite) and he’s demanded a trade. The Bills are trying to accommodate him, but so far have found the market pretty soft. Tom Donohoe says he wants no less than a 2nd rounder, when reality might dictate that a 4th round conditional (with the chance it would “float up” to a 2nd rounder with certain statistical benchmarks) is all they will get. You know the RB market is not good right now via trade, seeing as how Shaun Alexander and Edgerrin James were both “on the block” but can’t even get a legit sniff right now. Rudi Johnson thought he’d be much in demand with the Bengals, but had to settle for a modest deal that didn’t come close to breaking the bank. "At the present time, there is not enough interest to make a trade," Donahoe said. "And if things continue in that vein, we would expect to have Travis back again next year." Henry is getting antsy, however. “They said they weren't just going to let me go. I understand that," Henry said. "But here's a win-win situation. ... Arizona has shown interest. They've shown they're ready to pull the trigger. And Donahoe is taking his poor little precious time for some reason." Now, here’s the notable angle to this story. Notice how Buffalo is not rushing to take a huge cap hit just to trade a player who is unhappy. Notice how Buffalo is not pulling a Washington, and trading Henry for ANOTHER running back of similar abilities, as the Skins did swapping the smallish Laveranues Coles for the smallish Santana Moss. Notice how Buffalo is in NO HURRY to make this deal, and how they can even envision FORCING Henry to return next year, despite some lockeroom discontent. Notice how Donohoe is a real GM, not a three-headed Owner-Coach-Lackey set up like Snyder-Gibbs-Cerrato. This story is proof that just because a player is griping, does NOT mean you have to unload him right away.
  7. Fort Mill, SC - about an hour away. Like the Greenville area alot. Nice downtown and new arena with a good minor league hockey team.
  8. Edinboro University of PA - '93 Hosted the yearly Bills / Browns scrimage. Go fighting Scots!
  9. Give Darin a break - its winter in Alaska and not much to do...
  10. Chris Gamble is a stud? This Panthers season ticket holder disagrees.
  11. How many started the seaon off at 1-7?
  12. Mine too! Yes with the lack of talent and injuries on the Panthers last year, it was a miracle Fox almost had that team in the playoffs.
  13. Welcome to the board. Always good to hear inciteful and informed comments...
  14. CoachChuckDickerson - I'm the same guy you called BS on the release of Bledsoe after his weak performance against the Steelers.... REMEMBER?
  15. all good points - but TD is shopping Henry for a pick.
  16. TD really likes Williams, the WR from SoCal that sat out last year. Can you imagine having Moulds, Evans AND Williams to throw the ball to? I could QB the Bills.
  17. And if you notice on the Model trading cards, her hometown is listed as just Buffalo. The other American girls had hometown and state listed. I know a minor detail but geez, give the city some props!
  18. Wow - what a surprise! The Bills cut Drew Bledsoe... When the guy who signs your paychecks isn't happy with your performance, the writing is on the wall.
  19. IMHO - I would cut back on some of these expansion cities. I'd cut Carolina, Nashville, Florida, Atlanta, Phoenix and maybe Dallas. If you play in a city that never gets Ice - you must go for the good of the league. Then try an ECHL attempt at an overtime shootout - no more ties. and oh yeah - get rid of Bettman.
  20. Just look at the facts. Why would I make something like this up? Current events seem to have backed up my story. You can whine about the D giving up big chuncks of yards to some 2nd stringers, but what lost the game, and our playoff chances was Drew's lackluster performance against a 2nd string defense. Sure the Steelers had the number 1 defense in the league, but they sat most of their starters. The game, the season is on the line and he folded like a tent. Maybe then the light went off in TD's head. We can't win clutch games with this guy.
  21. Sorry for the bump - but I found this interesting... BILLS DEMOTE BLEDSOE "Apparently the last straw for Bills management was the final regular-season game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a game the Bills needed to win to make the playoffs. Going against Steelers backups for most of the day, Bledsoe turned in an uninspired performance (16 for 30, 189 yards, 1 INT) and was sacked three times. On one of the sacks Bledsoe was blind-sided before fumbling the ball, which was returned for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Before the loss to Pittsburgh, the Bills had won six straight games, but it wasn't enough to save Bledsoe's job. " hmmmmm
