  1. Yes this is true and not an April fools joke. He's really excited about the opportunity to be a Pastor. In today's Charlotte Observer: Former NFL player named senior pastor An athlete-turned-pastor whose name still resonates among Charlotte sports fans has a new job. Frank Reich has resigned as president of the Charlotte campus of Reformed Theological Seminary to become senior pastor of Cornerstone Presbyterian, a 70-member Associate Reformed Presbyterian congregation at 9925 Providence Road West in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte. His ordination/installation is set for April 23. Reich, 44, was named seminary president in 2003. He's still best known to many as the former University of Maryland and NFL quarterback who once played for the Carolina Panthers. Why the move? "I just have a tremendous burden and urge to teach and preach and shepherd," Reich said. "I just want to be on the front lines."
  2. Oh wise X, come down from the hockey mountain and give us you insite to the happenings at One Bills Drive...
  3. Trust me - not even Gary Bettman can match wits with our Hockey Sherpa...

  6. Fallout from the Butler cheap shot... Down here in ACC country - people are stunned this kid is still on the team. The ACC prides itself in sportsmanship and runs PSA's during football games to promote this fact. I've never seen such a horrible display of unsportsmanship in my life. If you like ACC college hoops... Check out this website
  7. Oh I forgot Frank played defense too. He let Warren Moon light us up in the first half. dumbass
  8. Does she know any Cawley's or Margeson's? They have a looooooong history of teaching in Bolivar.
  9. Yeah, they do have one stop light and fifty bars in town.
  10. Easy on Bolivar! My Mom's entire family is from Bolivar. Kurt, Bolivar's QB dates my cousin and he's off to play football down here at Davidson College (DIII). Great athlete, I was told they are planning to use him as a wide receiver.
  11. I know more people from Buffalo living in the Charlotte region than I did in Buffalo! Charlotte is a bankers town, lots of suits uptown. For fun, hit Discovery place uptown. You can catch a baseball game just south of Charlotte in Fort Mill. The Knights play in a nice stadium, very clean and reasonable ticket prices. If you like NASCAR, check out the Concord, NC area for all the race team shops. Two of my favorite day trips from Charlotte are Charleston, SC and Blowing Rock, NC. Charleston has alot of history, great food and things to do. Blowing Rock is a quaint resort town in the mountains off the Parkway. Hope this helps.
  12. I'm beginning to see why people on this board say "Stevetrojan" when they swear. For the longest time I wondered WTF? Now I know...
  13. Steve, Do you think Shawn Alexander and Edgrin James are better running backs? I do. And guess what, they are not getting better offers to play elsewhere. Something for nothing is good. I applaud TD for sticking to his guns.
  14. Instead of doing the right thing, and using this guys uniforms, they pay a firm millions of dollars for crap... see the new sabres website for an example
  15. Funny thread... I was just thinking about the good old days in WNY at the drive-in theaters. Most of my family is heading south which keeps me from heading back. I keep hoping WNY turns the corner and they lose the morons in local government...
  16. My favorite part of the movie was when JP Losman emerges from the spaceship and quarterbacks the Bills to a winning Superbowl and saves the planet.
  17. What ever happend to him? I really thought he was going to be a star. I watched the 95 Bills highlight video on NFL network and remember what a stud he was...
  18. Thurman Thomas was great when I met him six years ago. Let us take pictures with him and signed everything. He even put me in a headlock because I was wearing a Jim Kelly jersey - not his! Frank Reich is great about signing things. Don Beebe and Carlton Bailey are very approachable.
  19. We did a mini vacation in Harrisonburg, Va (James Madison University) at a great resort called Massnutten. They are almost finished with the largest indoor waterpark on the East Coast. It's off I-81, but not too far from Hershey.
