  1. Good call. Until you dropped his name, I had forgotten how good he was... a real ball hawk.
  2. McKelvin, to return punts. Just kidding... I'll add another vote for Lee Evans. My other add would be London Fletcher. Loved that guy.
  3. I won't call you crazy at all. I sure wouldn't mind taking a flyer on a leg or two. I'm jealous of teams with clutch kickers. Hoping Bass rebounds this year.
  4. I'd love to see it! The offense I'm envisioning churns out first downs, hits homeruns from time to time.
  5. Am I the only one hoping we draft some corners? After last year, I won't ever complain about DB depth, EVER.
  6. Tom Brady used to get the #1 seed with whatever they scraped together to play wide receiver. I like Cook out of the backfield, I love Kincaid, and think a lot of Shakir. After reading all the replies, sounds like there are still a couple of good wideouts to pick... but we still wouldn't have a true #1. I'm not sure what to expect from Samuel, but maybe this coming year, we dink and dunk people to death. It's not Josh's forte, but if he learns how to do it with patience, our offense could be dangerous. If we get a vet, I'm just not sure who it could be with the cap situation. Curious to see what Beane comes up with tomorrow. He feels the pressure more than I do, and we've done better at drafting of late than the twenty years that preceded. After my blood pressure reaching a simmer, the more level heads here have made me see the advantages to what went down tonight. Doesn't change the fact that we all stayed up too late! Hoping we have great picks to celebrate tomorrow (guess that's tonight, now). Catch you guys for Round 2.
  7. Thanks for the commentary guys, after catching up and reading everything (board melted down as soon as the KC trade was announced and again after the 32/33 trade) I am off the ledge. I absolutely HATE trading with the Chefs for ANY reason, assuming we'll get fleeced again. I'm just a fan, not an analyst or draft value junkie, so emotion is all I've got. Just stayed up all night for a trade with our nemesis where they get the fastest man alive and no new players to get excited about. I do trust Beane to fill out the roster and I think Allen is at that point in his career where he can work with the receivers he's got. But I'll tell you what... about an hour ago, I could relate to this guy:
  8. At first glance I thought the intern just coughed up the ball for showmanship... but after further review, I'm giving Tasker credit for causing the fumble! That was great... it was such a treat to watch him play.
  9. Bills are out, I've got better things to do. I have MUCH respect for Harbaugh but I'm not much into the Ravens and I'm definitely sour on Kermit, Love Brother Kelce, and the Chefs. I miss the days of having the Pro Bowl to look forward to. Ready for the draft!
  10. It looks to me like the NFL told the refs to sit on the offensive holding penalties this postseason. I've seen LOTS of holding in all games I've watched, hardly any flags to speak of.
  11. When the Chefs got the ball just before the half with 30 seconds to go, Miller made the play on that screen that normally goes for 30 yards or more. Rare offensive holding call negated the play and they kneeled out the half, but I don't think they do that if Miller doesn't make that tackle / flag thrown. When he got hurt and talked about helping with coaching, I got excited... but I've not seen much in the way of improvement with the group. We desperately need a terror coming off the edge, hoping Miller can be that again next year. To my eye, he got better week by week and I agree... his best two games were the playoffs.
  12. Whew! I'm glad to know it was your ornament. For a while, I thought it was mine! Similar story as yours, and was hesitant to take down the tree as I didn't want to jinx anything. I removed the ornament around the third quarter of the Wild Card playoff game - during which Pittsburgh pulled within a touchdown - and I promptly replaced the ornament and got us through. But the tree came down before the Chefs game and I was blaming myself. Thanks for setting the record straight!
  13. They were able to take advantage of our M.A.S.H. unit defense. The boys may not have gotten it done this year but 27 other teams went home first. I'm proud of them for going on a memorable tear... like the rest of you, sick of losing to the Chefs. Kansas City has come out on top the first three times in the playoffs, but that is going to change. Allen is just too good, and along with Kincaid, Cook, and Shakir, we've got a great young core. Waiting to see what Beane comes up with this offseason to fix our defense and kicking game. Need to hit a homerun at wideout as well.
