Why is it dumb? It makes sense to me.

The team that committed the penalty got more of a benefit than the team accepting the penalty. That should never be the case.

Why don't they have the clock start on ready to play after a penalty like that ? Or at least give the Bills the option to decline and have the clock start from there

I had no issue with the play either. Baker made a great play/borderline dirty/illegal play to keep him out, but it definitely had a chance to be a TD when Josh threw it.

I have more of a problem with McDermott throwing Allen under the bus when he made those comments at the half

Can't tell you how annoyed I was at that McD comment.

You're the head coach. You can't call a play with multiple guys running routes short of the EZ and then blame the QB when he throws it to one of them.

Par for the course for our HC that never accepts personal responsibility on mistakes.

Can we imagine what it would be like if Beane had kept him on IR (season ending) what we'd be like?  We'd be talking about how we were misled, lied to, or how the Bills are just too cautious and so on. (I'm not saying you would. Bills fans in general).

I'd like to think that we would've learned our lesson with Tre White and been patient with Von Miller. He was medically cleared to return from his ACL injury, but sat out an extra few weeks. There were posts on here about him not caring about the team, only in it for the paycheck, etc.

When he did come back he was clearly struggling to get back to game speed. Maybe he would've benefited from more recovery time.

Ahhh who am I kidding. We would've tarred and feathered Von Miller if he was on IR this whole season. 😂

  4. Von Miller isn't close to playing at even replacement level.

I'm sure there's guys sitting on couches that could've filled in and done more than him.

I still have no idea why McBeane activated him so quickly off IR. Could not have been based on anything they saw in practice.

The first pick was Davis’ fault, he’s awful on hot routes and doesn’t seem to be on the same page.

Second was all on Josh, should have thrown it away

Fumble was a wash for me after sleeping on it. Would have liked Josh to hang on to it better, but Wilkins obliterated Torrence and made a very very good play.

The 2nd INT was on 4th down.... I'm glad our QB tried to make a play rather than just throw it away to preserve his personal stats.

Dude, if you want to try to take the position that Bailey Zappe "outplayed" Josh Allen, I'm just gonna sit here with the 🍿.  That's not a discussion I even want to try to get into, other than the necessarily apology I already made to people I pooh-poohed when they told us that was happening.

It may be a mystery to you, but others have pointed out that not only were we missing the defenders who were injured in the Jax game, we were missing Big Ed and still trying to start Dorian Williams for Milano.  I don't think that's very mysterious.

This is a Patriots offense that managed 13 points COMBINED over a 3 game stretch against the Colts, Giants, and Chargers (all 3 teams are in the bottom 10 for defense).

Accounting for quality of opponent, allowing 29 points and a game winning 2 minute drill to Mac Jones is probably the worst defensive game in McD's tenure.

The Ravens defense has blown leads in all of their losses, including 2 double digit ones.

Lamar was worse in the Steelers loss than JA was in week 1 against the Jets.

Lamar lost a fumble, got sacked for a safety, and threw an INT (on a drive that started on the PIT 7 yard line after a Steelers turnover) while leading his team to 10 total points. His DEF allowed 15 points.

He was pretty bad in the Colts game as well. After taking a 17-16 lead with 7:33 left in the 4th Lamar's offense had 3 punts, a missed 61 yard FG, and a turnover on downs. The Ravens defense had 2 stops in OT (that's 2 more stops than the Bills DEF had in our 2 OT games combined) and only allowed 22 points total.

Their loss to the Browns was a rollercoaster. Ravens DEF allowed 26 points and scored on a pick-6. Lamar and the offense put up 24 points, and he threw 2 INTs (one of which was returned for a TD). Ravens last 2 possessions in the 4th quarter with a chance to ice the game were the pick-6 and a punt.

I'd say Lamar blew those games more than the DEF did.

LJ has the 2023 MVP won. He deserves it.

I agree he's going to win, but does he deserve it? I think this'll be an all-time weak résumé for an MVP.

Leave Lamar's stats exactly the same, but pretend his defense choked away multiple games like the Bills DEF did. If the Ravens are 11-5 at this point is Lamar even in the top 5 for MVP ?

  9. Pass protection was pretty bad today. The O-line is much improved this season and has been good overall, but this game was a bad one.

Drops. Been a problem all year.

Deep throws. Do none of our WR understand that you have to fight back through the defender on an underthrown ball? It's an easy DPI call and our guys tend to just keep running forward and let the throw fall near them rather than make a play on it.

  10. On this play in the 1st Q Josh got hit right after he threw it and took a helmet to the elbow area.

    3rd & 6 at NE 46

    (0:17 - 1st) (Shotgun) J.Allen pass incomplete short left to G.Davis [M.Wilson].

He got up flexing his right hand and I wondered if something happened there.

    I've never heard this before.

So players have to fill out state tax returns for every state they play a game in?  And what about the London game?

At least in the US it's called the 'jock tax'. For the London game they would have to pay UK taxes, but I'm not sure if it's regularly taxed income or if they also have a jock tax as well.

I know players like to get their salary in the form of an up front bonus and will have their primary residence in a 0 tax state when they receive that bonus so they can skip the state taxes (have to pay federal regardless).

I just want to run it by @Beck Water and @DabillsDaBillsDaBills and make sure it's OK to sign him........since he was questioned regarding the shooting death of a then pregnant GF(he was uncertain if he was the father at that time and had to take a paternity test).

Which is all why he wasn't an early draft pick,  as he was expected to be.

I mean the police said he wasn't a suspect so it's probably cool, right?

But then again they have apparently never identified a suspect of any kind in the case either.

So there is that whole "never been proven innocent either" thing.

Collins ultimately wasn't the father and while he may have had a motivation at the time I'd like to think the cops would've found something in the nearly 10 years since if he was involved.

For the Bills signing him I'm more concerned with his age and injury history

Sex?  I'm told there is physical evidence that Miller has had very intimate relations with the victim in the past in the form of at least 3 pregnancies........and she used to have a pretty physical job swinging on poles as a sex worker prior to getting with Miller.    So maybe their idea of normal contact is not the same as yours.

Bottom line........nobody but those 2 really knows what the hell happened.   You can pretend to know all you want............you still don't.

So she has rough consensual sex with him, then calls the police to report a DV incident (with Von Miller fleeing the home after the call).......and then she refuses to cooperate with the investigation ?

Theoretically possible I guess, but I would not call it plausible.

  14. Since this seems to be the defacto Von Miller thread now

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39198986/bills-von-miller-says-assault-allegations-100-false

He certainly believes he did nothing wrong.

Awful lot of deflection in these answers

When asked what specifically surrounding the allegations is untrue, Miller said, "All of it is incorrect. I don't know what else ... you know, it's not a funny situation, but all of it is incorrect and all of it is untrue. The only thing that is true is we do have a third son on the way. ... Everything else is untrue." Miller said that there has never been an instance of domestic violence in his relationship.

When asked if he and his girlfriend got into a fight that day, Miller said, "Honestly, I wasn't on social media before and definitely not on social media now. But from the things that have been brought to my attention, everything is false. And I would love to sit here and say, 'Ya'll know me!' But it's not, this is not that type of situation because domestic violence really happens around the world -- for men and women. And it's a serious situation so I would not pull that card. All I can say is it is just a matter of time before everything gets set straight."

How did she end up with bruises on her neck if nothing happened and it's 100% false/overblown?

Police arrived at the condominium, observed "minor abrasions" on her left hand and bruising to her neck, "injuries consistent with applied pressure the neck," in addition to bruising to her abdomen and left biceps, documented when photographs were taken that day by police.

Agree. I thought both holding calls on Morse were awful.

on top of that, the RT for the chargers was definitely holding on Tim settle on Easton sticks TD run. Dion has been called for that exact play a few times the last couple of weeks.

Yup exactly where I'm at. Both calls on Morse were trash and a blatant uncalled hold on the Easton TD.

I'll also point out the garbage call on Bernad to wipe out the INT. The tripping on Brown was weak as well

Where's the video of Allen getting leg whipped with no call?

Allen takes a beating.  If he calls attention to late or high hits, who effen cares?  The refs miss enough of them to warrent this type of reaction.

The one against the Chiefs a few years ago?

He was losing it early when he was rightly called for a takedown.

I thought that was hilarious. He got called for a rather weak OPI and then later in the same drive he gets flagged AGAIN. After crying to the refs for about a minute and a ref huddle they decide to pick up the flag. Then the broadcast shows the replay and Kelce blatantly put his hands inside Douglas's pads and ripped him to the ground. One of the easiest OPI calls I've ever seen and the refs decided to pick it up because Kelce cried about it.
