Very good post. I'd to add while it was impressive keeping their own, the Bills taking the next step is depending heavily on a few young guys progressing (Edmunds/Oliver), Star returning playing like 7 years ago, and Mongo having the use of both arms.
No, just that ETN or Harris being the first pick doesn't mean the next 2 can't be DE then CB. Then next year you try for even more pass rushers. Some dude said something about process......
It would also take at least 2 seasons to build a front 4 even close to TB. Also, good luck with KC being down to all 3rd and 2nd stringers on the Oline every time we play em'.
The number of touches is concerning for sure, but like you said ETN would help the passing game even more not only with a running threat, but more actual passing options. I too have a few other positions as preference, but ETN may be BPA by far.
My order of preference is DE, CB, and WR. But if those positions have major runs, I'm cool with ETN or even Harris. I appreciate OL with future LT potential as well, but suspect they'll be gone as well.
Because Knox hasn't proven he's the answer yet. Ertz at the very least has more reliable hands right now. How well he can still move remains to be seen.
You gotta plan for the worst.
If Dylan Moses lingers into the 5th round and Bills take him, probably Edmunds last year. I think Moses given time to heal and possibly redshirt could payoff big.
Man I would LOVE Samuel in the 2nd round. Only lukewarm on him at 30 because of his height. While I would prefer other positions over Harris ( WR, DE, even CB), he is a big upgrade over our guys no matter how you slice it. Agree that Phillips probably gone half a round earlier. Oweh.......Oh no lol. Lack of production me no likey.
