If he is needed to take a lot of snaps in a particular game early in the season I'm sure he will. In the long run his greatest impact will be from December until February, and that is fine with me. He's getting up in age and has a long contract.

My main wish is that Goodell and the NFL get this right. If it means holding off and extending the investigation that is fine with me. I'm tired of these type of things smearing my favorite sport. If they suspend him for X amount of games with the caveat that more suspensions could come later, that's fine with me too. The NFL "Code of Conduct" rules have had a lot of questionable results in the past and this could get real ugly. The fans of the NFL should have a say in this one way or another and that should have some weight in the decision. I am curious as to what would happen if Watson is on the sidelines for the preseason games while the investigation is still ongoing. The fans and TV sponsors pay for this sport and the NFL better not forget that. The Cleveland Browns took a huge risk in what they did and whatever happens is completely on them. If it ends up being a huge mistake that's tough luck. Please Roger, get this right!

Is Joe Brady on the staff in case Ken Dorsey flubs it?
ColoradoBills replied to Utah John's topic in The Stadium Wall
4 former OCs on staff? This confuses me. I thought McDermott only cared about the defense. -
Austin was signed to compete for the last WR spot which will most likely entail PR/KR duties. At worse he brings a good deal of experience to share with Stevenson and anyone else competing. While his cap hit numbers are not in yet I'm fairly certain he signed a cheap contract so what's not to like? Personally, I believe Marquez Stevenson will be working his butt off this summer with returner duties and I still have hope for him. If Tavon Austin can help with that it will have been a good camp signing. Also, a good chance that if after he gets cut he could still be available later in the year if disaster hits the returner(s).

Jim Kelly on the all time passing list
ColoradoBills replied to Marlton Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks Greg! I had moved to Colorado a couple of years earlier and never seen Jimbo's first game with the Bills. Heard from friends who were at the game as to how electrified they were seeing Kelly play. I now see why. You get the feeling if the Bills D would of stopped the Jets on that 3rd down with about 1:50 left in the game Kelly would of had a great chance to win the game. I might have to check out some other early Kelly games on YouTube. -
What position concerns you the most?

I've asked Scott to give his report on KC's depth WRs and he never answered. For those interested in who they got: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/kan/2022_roster.htm -
Bills’ Analytics Department Highly-Ranked
ColoradoBills replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
First time hearing about "analytics" was watching North Dallas Forty as a kid. -
DirecTV Sunday Ticket Streaming App for college kids is the easiest. $99.00 for the season and everyone can find a family/friends who have a kid in college. I give them a few bucks for the trouble (5 minutes) to sign up. I watch it through my Roku Stick. Works perfect.

Yes, NFLN comes with the Sling Blue. Like I said i have to add the sling Orange package to get ESPN during the football months. I get the ESPN+ from a friend for my Sabres hockey. Sling is limited with channels compared to YouTube TV but it's fine with me for the money.
-
Same with me but instead of YouTube TV I have Sling Blue for $35.00 a month. I add Sling Orange for ESPN during football season. I share that with a friend and he gives me Netflix, ESPN/Disney/Hulu bundle and Paramount+ in return. I get Sunday Ticket from college students I know for the $99.00 for the season. I went from $200.00 a month with DirecTV to about a total of $55.00 a month the streaming way. Note for those who care: I bought an indoor/outdoor OTA antenna and hooked in up to my old DirecTV cabling. I now have all the local channels on all 3 of my TVs for a one-time cost of $50.00. As to the comments on streaming costing more in the future..............I'll worry about that when it happens.

Nothing wrong with "letting it out" Muppy, nothing at all. My vent is the "unfairness" of so many of the victims of these shooting. These targets just seem to be the most innocent in so many of these killings. Churchgoers in Charleston, synagogue worshippers in Pittsburg and Texas, and even children not much older than babies in Sandy Hook. Now in Buffalo, a respected former police officer, a grandmother and mother of a Buffalo Fire Commissioner and now I just heard a father who stopped in at Tops to buy cupcakes for his kids Birthday party. The quality in life I judge as the most important is fairness. I see the extreme opposite in the acts. I have no answer except to demand a rational response from myself and others. If that happens enough maybe the tide can turn.

Probably not what a lot of posters feel but animals like this should not be killed by the people (government). Put him in the general population in Attica and let him spend his remaining few days showing what a "non-tough guy" he really is. The death penalty for these people is the easy way out. I'm shocked he didn't off himself.

I'm not talking top name talent signing long term contracts. I'm talking about players wanting to come to Buffalo on a cheap one-year who could improve depth (not starters) at one or 2 positions. We have seen that in the past with other top teams and always commented about the "rich getting richer". We will see.

Beane has 6 open spots and some cap to play with. There is a number of players (rookies, etc) who are under the top 51 who will make the team which will lessen the current cap. I would of bet earlier in the year that an Edmunds contract would of been signed by now. It will be interesting if that happens before camp. Now that the Bills are a true SB contender, I will wait to see what players may want to sign a cheap one-year contract and come to camp. I don't think Beane and his team are done yet.

NFL Draft 2022 Fourth to Seventh Round Discussion Thread
ColoradoBills replied to UKBillFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ultimately that is all that is important. I'm going back to the depth chart for the Bills and I am having a hard time (other than the 1st round CB) for rookies to get a large number of snaps. Not being an NFL GM I try my best to reason out what Brandon Beane's thought process is. It seems to me that the 2nd and 3rd round picks are guys that can make a big impact in a limited role THIS season. I get the feeling Beane is thinking with the current Bills success they can get all the "one year rentals" they want in the coming seasons to fill any holes that come up. The Bills WR room looks OK to me this year and it seems that next year there will be another large group to choose from. In his own way this draft seems to be Beane going "all in" with a specific group of players that can win it THIS YEAR. Maybe Beane thinks guys like Cook and Bernard can make some of the impact plays missing up to this point. -
Rd 3, Pick 89 (25): LB Terrell Bernard, Baylor
ColoradoBills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going to speculate this guy would of been the 4th round pick. The board didn't fall right and they wanted him so he got picked in the 3rd. I can see why some see it as a reach but I will wait to see how many snaps they get out of this guy throughout a game and what impact he makes before I deem the pick as bad. -
NFL Draft 2022 Second & Third Round Discussion Thread

Beane trading his 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th wouldn't of got it done. People get obsessed in the draft over players. -

Agree but I prefer one that has C experience or one that can learn to play center. -

I hear your points but I do think an OG/C is a reasonable pick. Bates stays at guard and the new depth OG trains as a center. I can see that happening. -

This is a thread about what happens in the 2022 NFL Draft for picks 2 and 3. Especially who Brandon Beane picks. There are plenty of other threads about what you want to talk about.
