@Ghost_002!, is there going to be a QB controversy?

So the go that going for them.......

Did BB want to throw his headset to the ground at the end of the half? He didn't look happy. I'd rather watch the game than listen to Michael Irvin.

Training Camp practice 8/11 - last one at Fisher

You give a coherent alternative. But when it's all said and done, I'm glad the Bills ended up with Josh Allen. LOL, I had a couple of drinks and I had to re-read your post. For a second I thought you were against the Bills paying JA. I think you mean that a Franchise QB cost is in its own category and then divide the rest accordingly. I will say I'm pretty sure there isn't any "hard and fast rule" about that. Either way I do have confidence Beane and McDermott are aware of that and doing the best they can to find that balance. -
Over the Cap positional spending
ColoradoBills replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Spotrac has Bills DL at 23. Of course, next year with Von actually costing money along with Oliver on 5th year it will go up. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/positional/defensive-line/ -
Jets sign OT Duane Brown 2 years at 22 million

About $60M going to CJ Mosley, Carl Lawson and Corey Davis and John Franklin-Myers. Not that I'm saying they are bad players just seems a risky plan. -
I agree Gunner. The argument can be made that the vast number of CBs on the Bills the last few years are Day 3 picks along with UDFAs.

If you want to believe that it's fine. I see it more long term than myopically. Just to give an example: 2023 Cap hits for Allen and Diggs is $60M. Go back and look at the number of picks used to acquire those 2 players. I'm not going to list them all, but it's a friggin' lot! 2023 Cap hits for the next 2 players (Von and Tre) $24M. A #27 overall pick. I thank Brandon Beane knowing the true cost of players on both sides of the ball and continuing to balance this team the right way. It's a blessing to us fans.- 132 replies

Is there a Football site similar to Capfriendly.com
ColoradoBills replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall
Your statement I bolded is true for the contracted players. My point is that CapFriendly has all the info needed for hockey that the NFL does not need. The NFL doesn't need it because it's rules for team building are much simpler IMO. The NFL drafts a player with a 4-year fixed contract who is matured enough to either make the team or not. Hockey drafting is so much more complicated. You are drafting 18-year-old kids. There are even rules as to where prospects can play depending on age and where they played before being drafted. That player can sign an ELC (entry level contract) the first year or 4 years later. That player maybe signed a 2-way NHL/AHL contract. Call up and waiver rules are much more complicated. Buyout, No Move Contracts, No Trade Clauses and other rules are used much more and further complicate things. When I started learning the NFL rules (thanks to others on the old BBMB!) it didn't take too long. Learning the NHL rules has been much harder IMO and CapFriendly has the info to make it a little easier. -
Thanks Astro as always. Off Topic Note: Great saying that Astro posted from his father's wisdom. My Dad always said, “The harder a decision is to make, the less it will matter.” Think on that. Astro mentions Rasheem Blackshear favorably again. Others have too. Looks like the young man has a good chance at a PS spot. Quinton Morris with a "Catch of the Day". Having a good camp. Probably a PS again for him unless he is in a battle for TE3 if the Bills go that route.

Perfect, thank you Colts. Gives McDermott and Fraizer good options to see what guys can do against a 1 offense. As to the Colts decision, I would rather have Ryan start the first 2 PS games and sit out the 3rd to get acclimated if it where me.

So true. What I just starting to consider is beyond the normal rotation, the options Washington and Frazier have in situational alignment. Pure passing, short yardage and the like, they will have a lot of choices with melding both the 1s and 2s with some interesting combinations. It's an interesting set of skills and talent and I'm really hoping Beane and company have finally got this DL thing done right.

I have been so excited about the Von, Oliver, Jones, Groot starting lineup I have to admit I have not thought much about Tim (great first name) Settle. I was happy with the signing, but if this guy can repeat/exceed what his 2020 stats were (5 sacks, 5 TFLs) with only 33% of the snaps, it could be fun to watch.

I use Capfriendly as it's the best Hockey site there is. Hockey is so much more complicated than football with prospects, 2-way contracts, etc. For football it's Spotrac for me. It's much more user friendly than OverTheCap IMO. -
Ron White on DWI "I had one DWI, which was a bogus charge, because it turns out they were stopping every vehicle driving down that particular sidewalk. That’s profiling. And profiling is wrong."

First off Watson and the Browns make me a sick over this whole distasteful incident. My choice would be an indefinite suspension. However, if I was Watson and the Browns, I would want a full year suspension. By the start of next season, a lot of this will blow over and be forgotten. Having him come back after 12 games could end up being worse than just losing the year IMO. He certainly wouldn't start the following week on the road in CIN so the earliest he would see the field would be at home against the Ravens. That could be a tough game to start after all the time off. Going on the road to Washington DC and Pittsburg I believe would be a bit of a circus while everything is fresh for the media. Factor in his not playing in almost 2 years the chance of him playing poorly would just add fuel to his opposition. If he does only get a 12-game suspension my hope is that his return to end the season is a disaster.

Well, that jinxed me. LOL Thanks.

Agree, Jones to start the series and Phillips in passing downs.

Thanks for your input. My whole reasoning behind that post was, do fans really think that the Bills would keep 2 gunners that give next to nothing to their assigned positions? I would think it would come down to Jones's age and the difference in Jones v Kumerow as gunners. If they are somewhat close in their ST roles, I give Kumerow the nod. All that being said, my preference would be a guy like Bernard who gives you LB and ST depth. We all hear about the importance of ST play but we also hear that McDermott want guys that have multiple talent. The roster is mostly locked and it's the few roles like these that are debatable.
