Frank Ryan was a second stringer at Rice behind King Hill. Ryan was drafted in the 5th round. In 1964 he lead the Browns to their last NFL title. He was also a three time Pro Bowler. I'd call that success.

The Bills should NOT draft a quarterback in the first round. It's not a priority while other things certainly are. Find a diamond in the rough in the later rounds; perhaps/pray a Brady or Cousins will be residing there. Someone worth looking for would be a college second stringer with skills who was forced to sit behind a true star. Grab him and develop him. No more one game wonders like EJ.

To all Taylor haters, perhaps this signifies that those who know talent know Taylor.

Anyone who saw the New England game knows Rex is lying. That defense was nothing like last season's, despite the fact it had the same personnel. He's either, yes, lying or has no clue what last year's excellent defense was all about. In either case, I don't want him as the Bills' coach as that's only the tip of Rex's iceberg.

It Pats had a reliable running back, this game would be very different. White and Boldin are bad, Blunt is IR, and Jackson is strictly short yardage. We should have such luck with the Pats.

Brady's troubles suggest that you need tight covering defensive backs. We're a long way from that, especially at safety. Of course you have to play man-to-man coverage, which is always preferable.
