Almost all of Von's snaps come at LDE. He again looked pretty ineffective but then they moved him to RDE and he was getting pressure. I'm not sure if it better suits his injured leg coming off the right side or who was playing left tackle for the Chiefs but switching sides made a big difference.
They moved Von to the right side and he was way better. Maybe he could use his good leg, maybe the tackle was worse on that side, I'm not sure but he was noticeable better from that side.
Sadly I never once trusted the defense to win it. I was actually relieved when it looked like the Chiefs scored because I figured it gave the offense a chance to win it. I guess the defense did it in the Giants game with the no call. At least after the penalty (which was legit) the defense made plays and actually shut the Chiefs down. Maybe they can build on that and we can put teams away in the 4th with a little more regularity.
Thing about taking the short throws is that your guys have to make the catches to keep the chains moving. So many drops in todays game. Allen loses confidence in the short passes and Spags starts blitzing bad things happen. Brady needed to run the ball more either in spread with Josh or in 22 with a rb. Get out of the bunch formations where the corners can blitz from 5 feet away because you have everyone in tight.
This ........... and not jet sweeps or something that loses 5 yards. You run it right at them. Make them use time outs. Get it to under 2 minutes and if you can get it to 3rd and 4 or 5 you let Allen go full cheat mode on them for a first and you run out the clock and kick for the win.
Bills offense was back to falling on it's face. Get out of shotgun and run the ball and use play action. They're not going to blitz all day if you'r running the ball down their throats and hitting the TE's on 3rd and 4. The teams time management is still beyond horrible. Luckily the defense bailed them out.
