If this plays out like it looks it will, we will be on the outside looking in with a Browns win against the reeling Raiders tomorrow.
Pretty much everything comes down to the game in Foxborough

The road to the playoffs got a little harder tonight but we 100% control our own destiny. If we can't win out we are going to need help. This team is too good to have to sneak into the playoffs.
Agreed. It's great to see the Pats lose, but it is a bit disconcerting to see that the NYT playoff machine has the Bills odds of making the postseason about 12 percent lower with the result.
Nonetheless everything is right front of us and our odds are still decent at 78 percent even if we just win the 3 home games.
Time for the team to buck up, seize the opportunity, and start playing their best ball when it counts the most.

Jones was outplayed Wentz for sure.
There's probably not a qb in the league who wouldn't outplay Wentz tonight

He was getting hate? I really like these guys.
Yeah there were a few negative comments.
It's weird that Fox has this game as its a big AFC matchup. I will say this, Burkhart and Olsen as Fox's #2 team is much more preferable to me than Buck and Aikman.

Really liking these announcers. Greg Olsen is way better than I expected him to be.
He's outstanding. Surprised at some of the hate he's gotten in this thread

Hurts our wildcard chances though lol that is truly a strange game for us rooting interest wise
You COULD make the argument that a New England win would be better for us. It hurts one of our main WC contenders, and we can still win the division by running the table and having Miami beat the Pats in South Florida week 18.
I am not going to make that argument😃

I'd think the bills want the colts out of the playoffs if they make it. So I guess a pats win this week isn't too bad if bills can take care of business the next two weeks
Yes, and there is also the possibility that the Bills could still win the division even if New England beats the Colts.
Bills would have to run the table and root for Miami to beat the Pats week 18 in Miami. Not as farfetched as you may think, given how Miami is playing well and always gives New England a game. I think they are 8-8 in the last 16 against them.

88 percent according to Sal
That I believe is from the NYT if the Bills just win the 3 home games and lose to the Pats.
If the Bills only win 3 games but one of them is against NE, the odds go to >99 %

Possibly in which case the Bengals would not be a concern, but who the hell knows how the AFC North is going to turn out.
That division will not be decided until late Sunday on the final weekend.

See if I have this right.
Chiefs, Raiders, Colts ( want a shot at the division so a Colts win here helps with that), Titans (we aren't catching them so might as well knock Pitt down as they have the tiebreaker over Buffalo), Bengals, Packers
Definitely want the Broncos over Cincy. Give the Bengals that 7th loss because their conference record is superior to ours.
Also, Denver's remaining schedule other than that game is brutal with @LV, @LAC, vs. KC. And they have a poor AFC record at 3-5

Our backs may be small, but they're slow!
Don't forget that they are also weak and possess the vision of Stevie Wonder.
Other than that, they're great

Josh needs to learn, and develop confidence, to come up big at the end of games. He failed against Titans, Jags, Pats and today. If he could have finished drives in those games, they would be 11-2. Hopefully he will develop the clutch gene.
I somewhat agree, particularly in the Jags game where he missed a wide open Sanders to extend the drive and at minimum force OT.
But Dawkins gets blown up and Josh loses his footing at the Titans, Daboll's play calling/drops/penalties doomed us against the Pats, and the Bills would have won the game last night if the obvious PI against Diggs was called.
I just don't know. Don't want to make excuses, but there seems to be an extraordinary confluence of bad luck that haunts this team in close games.

This is a popular opinion here among a certain type of fan, but when you pay Josh the money you paid him, it's not unfair to ask him to be a superstar.
This is so wrong.
Yes Allen is getting paid a lot of money, but he has basically been playing with a high school equivalent team around him. There is no one, with the possible exception of Lamar Jackson, who is tasked to do more for his team.
Maybe he can be the first two way player since Chuck Bednarik and start playing defensive tackle too

I can see them winning out.
To be sure, if they can get a must win against Carolina at home and then somehow find a way to beat the Pats, they will do exactly this.
I like the Bills in a big time rout next week

Nice man. Been very negative as most have lately, but that was a ballsy effort to come back.
Let's hope the Bills can take something from it. Allen was beast mode late

The team needs to let some of its very well paid veterans go. And remake the O line. Morse, Sanders, Butler, Addison, Hughes and more depending on who they can find to replace them. There also needs to be coaching changes. Bobby Johnson for a start.
Watching the Tampa Bay game and I am both in awe of Josh and worried he is going to be very badly injured.
This x 1000 percent

The challenge was dumb as *****… again, anybody with a brain who watches football knows that call is not being overturned… for ***** sake you couldn’t even see where the ball was.
Forget the ball, you could barely even see Jones in that wall of humanity. Not one of McD's finest moments

With regards to a few plays here or there and we would be 11-1, every single team can engage in this exercise.
If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle

Unbelievable. How can he be that bad?
It's hard to fathom, but not just him. All 3 of our rb's are replacement level players at best. Even the slowest RB would have scored with a correct read to the outside there

Knox was not why this team lost…. Not even close….all the girls that play defense are why the Jill’s lost
Dude, if he even caught 1 one of the 2 perfect dimes in Pats territory, or not jumped offside on the last drive, that would've helped given the final score lol.
Beyond McDermott and the entire Bills run D, he is the single biggest goat of this game and it's not really close

Bridgewater is such a sorry excuse for a qb. Denver got what they deserved signing this loser instead of taking another swing at a qb in the draft

I think NEs ability to stop the run is suspect and that Buffalo's RBs will be effective against them. Also think that will open up passing opportunities for Josh.
Agreed.
We ran the ball effectively with both Singletary and Moss last year against the Pats in OP. And given our strengths in the passing game, I think it's safe to say Belichick will try to limit Josh and opportunities will be there again on the ground. If Brown is back, I feel pretty good about being able to move the ball on their defense.
