They were hosed that was an obvious Facemask and the Pats had a TD taken away that would have mad it 21-7 if not for a rather bad call for holding. (And I swear they could have called Dallas on almost every pass play for hands to the face on the guy blocking Judon. Lol).  Also I saw that third down play, I thought he was in but there was not one replay showed it breaking the plain. (He then fumbled on fourth down to blow it) This why it wasn’t challenged.

Maybe about Borne but everyone seems think of the two signings he was the one with the best potential be a solid 2. (That’s the talking heads saying it) I like Meyers he reminds me a lot of Edelman, as in he catches anything thrown to him.

As for Jones, I’ve heard “he has a weak arm” well he delivered like 4 huge long plays today. One a 45 yard bomb on target and in stride to Bourne.  As for upside, I think that’s year 2 you see that.  I think he was the best fit for the Pats outside of Lawrence. (I can see the other 3 being duds)

Time will tell and I appreciate your point of view. I think the facemask was not called because it wasn't an impediment and the pass was pretty much uncatchable. Meyers is a a good player, but you guys are still severely lacking in weaponry. Doesn't seem the Henry/Smith combo is quite as good as hyped either.

    Go Bills!

Ya but this is probably the only game I feel they got hosed in the loss. (That missed Facemask gonna drive me nuts all week esp with sports radio lol)

also they have a good young core and unlike most teams IMO they have their QB. Let’s face it most teams have the pieces but no QB which is the hard piece to get. They have the QB , now they need a #1 WR to compliment Borne and Meyers. On D we probably could use a shut down corner.. but outside of Buffalo and Cowboys few teams have numerous WR weapons so not really needed to win.

Have to take issue here. Dallas scored on the 3rd down before the Prescott fumble and amassed over 100 yards in penalties, so the Pats were definitely not hosed lol.

Jones looks decent, but the main concern coming out was his upside. I believe that remains the case. Borne and Meyers are not quality wideouts even as secondary options - I think Jacobi is at best a strong WR3.

I feel like the roles are reversed and Pats fans are in a position that was all too familiar to Bills supporters - convincing yourself that the personnel on your team is better than it really is.

From today's news. Erie County legislators push for public hearings for Bills stadium lease deal

If there are "hearings" and related nonsense, the stadium is dead. Anything grubby WNY politicians get their hands on dies a slow agonizing death. I guarantee if there are hearings a vocal minority will dominate the dialogue and the stadium is dead. And if the stadium dies, we all know what happens next.

But hey, we got one hell of a carousel. That is our national claim

I agree with you. These things tend not to encourage progress in cooperative deal-making but stifle it. Hope I am wrong but I fear the repercussions if a vocal minority is able to control the narrative and influence public perception.

  4. I'd prefer the Chargers over Baltimore but honestly believe LAC is the bigger threat to home field given both teams schedules.

Baltimore still has all 6 games to play in the division, plus matchups against GB and the Rams. LAC's schedule by comparison looks relatively easy, with a KC rematch arguably the toughest remaining game.

    So, go Ravens

That ***** Lamar Jackson had to steal Josh’s thunder. What a game he had

Lamar played great, but I can't believe how soft the Colts were towards the end of the game. It was honestly pathetic despite them being shorthanded. What happened to the aggression that slowed him down for 2 1/2 quarters?

Also lost in the outcome was Wentz of all people threw for 402 yards. Not much defense was being played on either side including the vaunted Baltimore unit.

Fair enough, but like it or not, a NFL football stadium is always a money losing proposition for the taxpayers/ municipalities that opt to build them, and everyone knows this.

So when undertaking this additional tax burden, all financials should be openly discussed prior to breaking ground, in hopes to keep tomfoolery to a dull roar, as it were, nothing wrong with that.

It’s not like they are proposing a public utility, this is primarily for the financial gain of a multi billionaire, who already has the financial wear with all to out right purchase the stadium, and still be a multi billionaire, when all is said and done.

Let’s be clear on this point. The Pegulas don’t need the public money to build a stadium.

    Go Bills!!!

To be honest I don't disagree too much and I do get what you're saying. I'm just skeptical that these sorts of proceedings won't lead to public acrimony and have a negative effect on negotiations. At some point when you go this route, won't there be a demand for a referendum? If so I believe that would seriously jeopardize the future of the team. It certainly has for other cities in this situation.

Anyhow, just hope they get it done sooner rather than later so us fans can point our focus squarely at what is happening on the field. And indeed, go Bills!

No, politicians are supposed to do the public’s bidding on all things, ya see they work for the public, not the other way around, “of the people, by the people, for the people” , you get to have a voice as well, provided you take part in the proceedings, it is when folk let political do what ever they want after they get elected, is when our society starts go to hell in a hand basket, if citizens don’t continuously monitor what politicians do they have failed as Americans, ya gotta ride herd on elected officials, they to often are up to no good. Now me, I don’t mind a new stadium at all, but citizens have the responsibility and legal right to speak out and control their government, it is what makes America Great.

    Go Bills!!!

I understand how civics work lol. But there are much larger expenditures at pretty much every level of government where no one is demanding public hearings and transparency. Hell, most people have no idea where their money is going but for some reason when it comes to a football stadium everyone's ears perk up.

It's really a selective concern, and when you factor in the impact on the average taxpayer over the life of a potential deal, the discussion doesn't seem quite so notable. Whatever happens, the average person will barely notice that anything has changed with their finances.

I don’t think this is a negative at all. The people have to know that whatever their demands are for the new stadium are most likely not going to be met. This has more to do with the studies that Hochoul and Poloncarz have and they just want to see what the studies are.

I certainly hope you're right. It seems to me that other places have done stuff like this and it hasn't always been helpful. I'm kinda wondering whether there will be some calls for a referendum.

Bottom line is it would be a great relief if the community can finally bury this issue and secure the future of the team once and for all.

  9. Great. Then all the whiny, small-minded, obstructionist sorts whose stock answer to everything is no while at the same time championing stuff like bird migratory patterns can begin to build consensus against this project.

Maybe it's just a few local grandstanders, but I can't help but feel that this isn't a positive development for the stadium talks. Isn't the reason we elect politicians in the first place because they are supposed to make decisions on the public's behalf?

  10. As others have mentioned, the Bills could be in REALLY good shape with a win here.

I see 5 contenders for the No. 1 seed - us, CLE, BAL, KC, and LAC. All of the competition have MUCH more difficult schedules than we do. Buffalo could really be in a position to control their own destiny with a victory Sunday night. Of course, this also says the game is at least as meaningful to the Chiefs as it is to us.

If there's a QB I'm worried about(think might be good) in the division it's Zach Wilson but luckily he plays for the Jets.(poor bastard never stood a chance)

Agree 100% but he looks a guy that should be on a Nickelodeon show

NE gonna be the most talked about 1-3 team.

”Can Mac Jones lead NE to the east division this year?  Rematch the Bucs in the super bowl?”

    cantttt waittttt

I remember watching First Take (yeah I know I'm stupid) and both Kellerman and Smith picking the Pats as division frontrunners lol

"Great performance " by Mac Jones.

17 points with 4 starters out in tampas secondary.

Seriously it's pathetic. Gotta say I'm happy with the Pats being 1-3, but to me neither team deserved to win that game. That was some bad football.
