And what would the surprise be?  The football world has already learned this year that he’s a lazy, entitled failson who’s destined to go 1-4 as a late season starter over the next two years then try to make the CFL

I don't know if things will be that bad, but he doesn't have remotely enough high end talent to make the immaturity and distractions worth it imo

WHAT Not even close !!! Deshawn F N Watson - play sucked when on field, health sucks, and boy far the worst contract for anything they have gotten from him since signing that garbage. deal ...

I don't think Watson is even a franchise QB. So he can't be the worst according to what the OP asked

Not Bills related, but in my 20’s Danny Gare gave me and a friend his autograph on a napkin at Mother’s in Allentown. The thing is, we didn’t ask him for it. I was wearing a Lonfontaine jersey after a Sabres game and we struck up a conversation with him. I wish I could say it was cool, but surreal and bizarre would be more accurate. He had clearly had a drink or two, and he was mostly bitching about Glen Sather and his last season with the Oilers. I never expected that I’d be the one trying to find the conversation off ramp in an encounter with local celebrity. 😂

Haha awesome story. Not entirely surprising however as Danny's face always looked he drank a gallon of bourbon for breakfast

If the COYOTES can find a home in Utah and the Kraken established in Seattle, then that is definitely a ridiculous statement to make. The Sabres could be bought up by a Quebec group and moved to Quebec City or even investment from a group to move them to Houston. Remember the North Stars? The Nordiques? The Whalers? Anything is possible.

It's possible for the Sabres but highly unlikely. As bad of an owner as Pegula has been the Sabres were still his "first love" before the Bills. If they go up for sale I can see a stipulation similar to Wilson (or even Golisano) that a buyer must commit to keeping the team in Buffalo. You have to remember that despite the dismal status of the Sabres, the franchise is worth 1.1 billion per Forbes. Pegula has made a very nice return on his original 160 million investment.

I'm not entirely convinced he is looking to sell. The arena upgrades are going to be the big determinant. I think Pegula is biding his time knowing NYS just invested so much in the Bills stadium and realizing his hockey club needs to become more competitive before asking for public funding.

Regardless, Buffalo is such a strong hockey market that it is very difficult to believe the NHL would want to see the team relocated whatever Pegula decides to do.

I'd sell the Sabres if I were him. Laughing stock.

Unfortunately the Sabres ineptitude is almost entirely because of him. Terry really just stumbled into something good with Beane and McDermott. It's why I can't see either of them going anywhere unless the Bills crater, and the periodic discussions about hot seats and job security are amusing. Pegula knows he got lucky

Bills fans who pretend Lamar Jackson isn’t a good QB also pretend Cam Newton wasn’t a good QB

That isn't accurate for me. I think Lamar Jackson is a tremendous player who is light years better than Cam ever was. Newton was a sub 60 percent career passer with one great year (2015) on his resume. He was also a childish clown with no leadership abilities. Oh, and he quit on his team in the Super Bowl.

  7. I remember 94, and this period of the season in particular, as being the last time where it felt like Jimbo was still an upper echelon guy. Games like this and the one in Joe Robbie against Miami showed Kelly could still sling it. The 83 yard TD pass to Reed to clinch the game against the Dolphins was one of the best throws of his career imo.

Jim became more of a game manager after 1994. In 1995 he cut his int's down but the Bills were more of a defense and run oriented squad. You could really see his arm strength begin to lessen. 1996 brought renewed Super Bowl hope in the offseason. I remember being so stoked about the additions of Moulds and Quinn Early, and there was even high hopes for Lonnie Johnson lol. But it became clear almost immediately that Kelly was through. Everything ended so abruptly. I was at that Jags WC loss where Jimbo was carted off in his last game and it was so deflating.

    I could be.

What do you think wins you more Football games? Having Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins lined up on teams CB2 with a lesser MLB or just Chase and a slightly better MLB?

You can't be serious with this??? The Bengals havent even made the playoffs the last 2 years. I feel like I'm in an alternate universe

Yeah.  Their drafts have sucked.  You making the argument that a team has "zero chance" of making the Super Bowl if they pay two elite WR's near top of the market contracts doesn't hold water though.  I think the score was 40-22?

Have you watched the Bengals defense? Are there any Copper Dejeans? Jalen Carters? Zach Bauns? You're better than this. Let me know when Cincy even makes a wild card again

All their chips?  The Eagles just literally won the Super Bowl paying their two WR's and QB near top of the market money.  Don't tell me it can't be done.

Considering the Bengals have done diddly poo in spite of their offensive prowess for several years running, I think I'm in a pretty good position to say their decisions are questionable

If you have the ability to have not one, but two bonafide WR1's on your roster and fit it in your salary cap (as the Bengals did) - it would be absurd not to do that.

WR is a premium position. If I had one complaint about Beane, it's that he allocates too much cap to non-premium positions. Making it difficult to make big moves at premium positions. I'm jealous that Cinci is the kind of place that realizes that if it comes down to not paying a LB so that you can pay a top end WR - you do that.

Um... it comes down to his market. I do believe that Middle Linebacker is the least deep position on the team and have been surprised that no one has been brought in to at least compete with Buffalo Joe and Baylon Spector.

I like Joe. He exceeded expectations as a UDFA from UB. But is he someone I think we should be relying on if something were to happen to Bernard? No, I don't.

If Pratt has starting options or people offering him any sort of big money (relative to what he is), than no. But if his market is one in which he's willing to take a backup gig for backup money for us - absolutely.

Just to be clear, you are endorsing a strategy where you pay top dollar to both your number one and number two wide receiver. Are you Jeremy White?

No it wasn't.  Most teams should at least be able to pay two guys at premium positions near top of the market money even with your QB getting elite money.  I think the Eagles just did.  Outside WR is a premium position.  It's on the Bengals now to nail the draft and find value free agents.

If it costs them Trey Hendrickson, then yes it was a stupid move. He is the only meaningful player on their wholly inadequate defense. The Bengals have zero chance of winning a Super Bowl pushing all their chips on the offensive side of the ball.

This is to make room for Trey Hendrixson.   That team is gonna have 4 players taking up a third of their total

Signing Tee Higgins was such an asinine move. An absurd failure in roster construction and salary allocation

Should be a fun game to watch, if for nothing else then the 2 QB’s switching teams.

I think Fields will have trouble w the Steelers defense.  Throw for about 130 yards and be running for his life most of the game.

I see a low scoring game w the Steelers coming out on top 17-13.  Bet the under.

This will be the the definition of a meaningless football game. But I can't wait for the media to talk about it constantly!

Hilarious… Steelers fans calling into local radio down here saying 12-5 at worst 😂

My boss is a Steelers guy and was trashing the idea of Rodgers all offseason. Now that he signed, he rationalized that they need to take advantage of their Super Bowl window while Watt/Heyward et al are still around. Pittsburgh fans and their organization are completely delusional
