  1. I agree that its about other getting sick. I realize in the US that a lot of companies don't have sick days, but if you are sick you should stay home to help stop the spread. Another thing would be is if you fall into the category of high risk you should really think about avoiding big crowds as much as possible.
  2. Its not that I am shocked that people don't have to same opinion as me. I am Canadian, up here hockey is king. Its why I have always been surprised how little hockey is mentioned in the U.S. I do know what's going with this virus and I do know there is a possiblity that Cedar Point maybe closed. Unless that happens or I get sick, I still plan on living my life like normal. The reason is that while this virus has been spreading fast, for the most part its only the elderly or people with low immune systems that are really at risk.
  3. If I did have a bad cold I would quarantine myself. What I was getting at is, if I am healthy I am not going to stop loving my life. I am not giving up my vacation plans over this.
  4. I know a lot are worried about this virus and it spreading. For the most part though the vast majority of people it will be like getting a bad cold. The ones that should worry are the elderly and ones with bad immune systems. I am still planning on traveling this spring. Not flying but am driving to Cedar Point for the May long weekend. I am not changing my plans for something that is most likely going to give me a bad cold.
  5. I never understood why so many Americans don't like hockey. I find it more exciting as its non stop action. You don't have to wait a minute before the next play to happen. Who doesn't like hits and seeing fights.
  6. No they didn't have to have to be. Look at Columbus, they are in a playoff spot with far less talent then any of those teams.
  7. I will admit they haven't been good for the most part this season. If Ullmark hadn't gotten hurt they would have been in the hunt. The game against Washington was exciting to watch. Winning doesn't always equal excitement. In general hockey is an exciting sport to watch. Better then football.
  8. My only rule change I would like to see is one the CFL has. There is no fair catches, the receiving player is given 5 yards to make the catch before the opposing play can hit him.
  9. Probably not. Wish they would but for some reason a lot of Americans don't like hockey.
  10. I don't know why they pulled out of the US but I don't get the obsession for it. I know a few other people from the Buffalo area that make trips to Canada just for Swiss Chalet. There is 3 of them in my city and I rarely go to them.
  11. Never got to try Bojangles chicken but I would put their breakfast over McDonalds. Their coffee was a lot better too.
  12. Just got back from driving to Myrtle Beach. Got to try a couple of fast food places that are not in the WNY/Ontario region. I found Bojangles and Jack in the Box to be good. What are some of the ones you have come across on your travels that you wish WNY/Ontario had?
  13. While culture and Blue Collar maybe important to Mcclappity and a lot of you older Bills fans. You still need talent to win. I would take a "diva" WR who puts up over 1200 yards a season over a guy like Beasley any day.
  14. Florida may win but I have no faith in the Leafs to win many games left. The 3 top guys just don't care enough. I watch guys like Crosby, McDavid and Eichel bring it every night. Matthews, Marner and Nylander take a lot of nights off.
  15. They may have a tough schedule left but after tonight they will have 2 games in hand on the Leafs. Being 6 points back is not a lot to make up considering how poorly the Leafs are playing. What makes me hopeful is that Florida and Toronto are both in the bottom 5 goals against. They have been playing well against good teams during this stretch minus the Colorado game.
  16. They might not have to be that good. The way the Leafs are playing they will be lucky to finish .500. They are near the bottom of the league in goals against. Florida is right behind them so the Sabres and the Habs do have a shot.
  17. What I was trying to get at was how a lot of teams turn it up as the playoffs get near. Where as the Leafs don't seem to have another gear. I look at Eichel this season and how he has been carrying the Sabres. You look at the Leafs and I don't see Matthews, Marner or Nylander playing the same.
  18. I disagree. A lot of other teams work hard for good majority of the season.Anytime the Leafs get down in a game or have any adversity they fold.
  19. I blame the Leafs play on the big 3 who for some reason to seem to care much other then to score.
  20. As much as a lot of hound on the Sabres for being bad at least they try most games. The Leafs are playing against a beer league goalie and have showed next to no effort. I am enjoying watching them lose.
  21. I know most of you want to dismiss strength of schedule but next season the odds of playing 8 teams .500 or worse is not likely to happen again.
  22. A refurb is putting lipstick on a pig. A new stadium brings higher revenues which is what the NFL and the Bills would like. Ticket prices could easily double with a new stadium. If they move downtown, they limit tailgating to Bills owned lots and limits the table slamming and ketchup dousing.
  23. I'm guessing the biggest reason so many of you don't want it downtown is the fear of limiting tailgating. Having tailgating in Bills owned lots only helps in limiting the table slamming and drunken behavior. It also makes it that the Bills get all the profits from tailgating.
  24. No there isn't much difference between his percentage last year and 60%. If you look at the QBs who made the playoffsover the last few seasons, the lowest completion percentage was Rogers this year at 63%. Yes Allen was better this season but still not good enough to be the " franchise" as many of you call him. I understand a lot of you are afraid that if Allen isn't the answer of starting over again.
  25. There is a difference between putting one downtown over one in OP. The tailgating will be limited, so fans will have to go the bars and restaurants around the stadium. No more private lots, it most likely just be tailgating in Bills owned lots. As much as fans don't want to hear it, the Bills and NFL owners are always looking for ways to make more money.
