Quality thread. Foster is intriguing to me - a spot on the practice squad for a season could probably do him a lot of good and I hope he lands there. I don’t see him beating out everyone else in the WR room for a spot on the 53 though.

This is a common exaggeration around here. Allen’s throw velocity at the combine was 62 and 62mph (they clock it twice.) those are line drive throws.

Her suit filed yesterday claiming negligence is frankly ridiculous, and crayola already broke down all the problems with her claim earlier. unless the cops find the guy that actually did this and he implicates McCoy, this doesn’t seem to be going anywhere

The new rule as currently written is ambiguous and bad. It will need to be revised and clarified fast because it’s already clear the officials are having a hard time with these calls (I don’t blame them, the NFL rulebook has become a rats’ nest.) Clear spearing and targeting should be a foul (and possible ejection, depending on severity.) Penalizing milder hits is just reactive PR by the NFL and the ginger king.

No a specific dollar amount is not required in the complaint. She’s basically seeking all damages entitled to her under the law, and her attorney’s fees of course. So her medical bills, lost wages (lol), I suppose the value of property lost (jewelry taken was valued at $130,000(!) I think), and of course pain and suffering, which can be difficult to predict. Very broadly, pain and suffering is usually determined by a factor (somewhere between 3x and 5x) of the actual damages.
