  1. Luckily enough the game is in October. That gives the Raiders plenty of time to lose enough games that the ticket prices will begin to drop.
  2. Ya? Well I've heard Ed Murphy, Chris Rock, and countless others crack racist jokes and you know what? They were funny as hell. Why? Because I dont get offended at jokes.
  3. I actually agree with you here. He stated that only "elite white people" can afford them. Well, I'm white, but I'm hardly what would be considered elite. So how is his statement only referring to black people, unless that is what someone is assuming?
  4. When the opportunity presents itself you cant be picky. I'm not complaining, we had a great time.
  5. I took a recruiting assignment in Cheektowaga so that I could get season tickets from '05-'08.
  6. Who said anything about it being the level of the NBA? Also, it is a major league in a minor sport. There is no higher league in the country/world, albeit not being very popular. Does that take away from the coach who got 3 championships for the city of Buffalo in lacrosse's premier league? The Bison's are a minor league team and their championship is not the pinnacle of the sport.
  7. You are correct, but there was also the NFL that had their own championship (which was/is seen as superior). This would be like comparing an MLS champion to the FIFA champion. It has nothing to do with how far you can go in your league.
  8. Yes, but AFL was not a national championship.
  9. If you're gonna throw in the Braves, might as well throw in the only championship winning franchise in Buffalo (so far), the Bandits. A quick google search shows Les Bartley as the head coach for 3 of the 4 national champion Bandit teams.
  10. I was just cracking a joke. However, I dont condine DUI, but I wont crucify him or judge him for his mistake. PLENTY of people get DUIs and are much older than he is. It isnt an age or maturity thing. What does matter is, will he learn from his mistake? That is what will reveal his true character.
  11. So you are saying you made a life changing mistake around that age to? ??
  12. When I was a recruiter for the Air Force, we didnt get extra credit for our monthly quota for minorities. However, there was a competition system that came from HQ that would drive the awards. If you were the #1 Squadron or #1 Recruiter in the nation that was HUGE for your career. In that system, of course, minorities were worth more than others. It was a technicality, that they took advantage of to not look like they were doing what they really were. But my god, if you ever suggested that they were doing this, you would get your ***** jumped like no other.
  13. Heaven forbid someone have a different taste in what is fun, music, or what gets them excited about something.
  14. I believe these rules have been formed from the CBA the Players Union has fought for.
  15. I'm curious if the the Bills new fancy training facility had anything to do with his decision. I'm guessing that was a major selling point along with the chance to compete for a starting RT spot if he is able to recover to form.
  16. Raiders with 3 wr in 3 rds...
  17. This isn't being done at that camp. It's with a QB coach here in the Central Valley that also coaches on one of the HS teams.
  18. Damn, these last couple videos have been shot at a high school a few miles away from me. If social distancing wasn't a thing, I'd surely drive by there in the cool mornings to see if I could catch Josh out there.
  19. I find it ironic that these old and broken dudes are both going to Florida to ride there last NFL days out.
  20. Regardless of the crazy arguing over the interpretation of immediately and simultaneously advancing the ball. There's really on two question to ask to determine if the play was ruled correctly. 1) Did the player go to the ground and/or kneel the ball? NO If you answered yes to question 1, then proceed to question 2. 2) Did the player immediately attempt to advance the ball? Doesn't even matter because he didn't go to the ground and/or kneel. I'm actually surprised by how many people think the best move here was to let the refs interpret the intention of the player. Regardless of how obvious his intentions were. Refs are not mind readers and that is a VERY slippery slope to allow them to judge intention.
  21. ARTICLE 1. DEAD BALL DECLARED An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended: ... (d) when a runner declares himself down by: (1) falling to the ground, or kneeling, AND clearly making no immediate effort to advance. ... (i) when a forward pass (legal or illegal) is incomplete. ARTICLE 2. BALL TOUCHES OFFICIAL The ball is not dead because it touches an official who is inbounds, or because of a signal by an official other than a whistle. Here are the rules straight from the rule book on what constitutes a player being down regarding this situation. Article 1, section (d) (1).... Clearly making no effort and "giving yourself up" is not in itself enough to rule a play down. The player must take a knee or go to the ground as well. I also included a few other tidbits. The second he made a forward pass and it hit the ground the play was dead. This should of resulted in a penalty in the endzone which is a safety. Also, merely tossing the ball to the ref does NOT end the play as well.
  22. Where do you get that either endzone is not the field of play?
  23. It's exactly like running the ball anywhere else on the field during a LIVE play.
  24. Did you even see the play? Where in the rule book does it state you can down a play by tossing it to the ref?
