they have invested alot, but 10 mil. dollar cap hit is a BIG investment in a guy they dont want to sign to a long term deal.

it would be nice to have the #1 D in the NFL. and a dominant running game. and only ask your QB to throw 150 yards on 15 attempts. and i think harrington is more proven than JP. why not sign harrington to a low contract. have JP start, and bledose back up JP for a year. then we cut bledsoe after next season and start JP, with harrington as the backup. if JP doesnt work out (which is possible), we could easaly move harrington in. no more signing HORRABLE QBs off the practice squad.... it would lead to QB contraversys, but so what. we would have a good, reliable CHEAP backup. i dont see it happening, but it would be nice.

According to sources, Millen believes Harrington's growth was stunted by the conservative offense of head coach Steve Mariucci. Meanwhile, Mariucci believes his West Coast system was crippled by Harrington's lack of accuracy and leadership. At the urging of Millen, Mariucci surrendered his play-calling duties in the final three games and, with quarterback coach Greg Olson taking over, Harrington became more aggressive. Still, the Lions lost both games in which Harrington threw for more than 300 yards. maybe when your head coach think your QB is CRIPPLING your offense it is hard to produce. once the QB coach took over, he played well. If Harrington were to play the 2005 season with the Lions, his salary cap number would be just under $10 million. The Lions can absorb that for this year and also make it easier for them to release Harrington next season (for a cap hit of less than $4 million). 10 mil. cap hit. i dont think he will be a lion next season. good for him, bad for williams.....

did the lions think that herrington would win 10 games for them or something??? there team sucks. and they loose games. its not all his fault. if we didnt have JP, i would want him in a bills jersey.

[OT] Will some gun owners never learn?
ch19079 replied to LabattBlue's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"Their father is Deputy District Attorney Mark A. Sacha." when they say "teen" is he 13 or 16? sad stuff rifles are diffrent than handguns. rifles are for hunting, handguns are for home protection. why would you NOT have a rifle in a safe???? why would you leave it loaded, or keep the bullets out unlocked???? but a handgun in a safe with the bullets in another room in a locked place, just turns that hand gun in to an expensive paper weight.... so i dont know what to do about gun laws.... -
i havent ever watched any of those first mentioned.. how about mine. Sports Center PTI Total access Around the Horn stargate... i couldnt think of another show i watch... HBO should count. always a good choice.

interesting. but tell me this scientist man... how come scientists still cant prove a black hole exists. even if they get nice pics like this. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...j8u6_photo0&e=8 ive always been told black wholes are a theory, but can not be scientificaly proven.... -
missed the whole point of my post.... you dont do the right thing because of a reward, i would do it cus thats what ive always done. I would reject the reward (if there was one) he offers in gratitude, with a smile, and handshake. but if he just said thanks and walk away, without offering even a few bucks, i would still smile, but in my head i would be thinking... "what a d***". but to get back to the original topic, ransoming off memories for 1000 bucks should get this guy atleast a beating by someone somewhere.

there is talk of the jets NOT franchising him. and insted franchising L. Jordan whats really strange is, im almost certain its true... hes one of the best DEs in the game. but can we spend that much cash on D when we need other positions filled first.

i knew a guy just moved here (NC) from cali. we had a thunderstorm one night, and the next day he asked if that was a huricane... he was really scared. i was laughing so hard.... now i know why califiornians are afraid of a little rain... http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...10101102308&e=1

Lee Evans is the best WR in Buffalo
ch19079 replied to KurtGodel77's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
im sure they consitered salary in that #. for what evans is making, hes a very large contributer to our Offense. when he doesnt cetch the ball, the dont move the ball. -
$10 reward for returning a $100+ camera is reasonable. but like i said, it should not be expected, or demanded.
-
i can understand the guy wanting a reward. but a reward should not be demanded or ransomed off for momories. and we are not talkin about a family trip. we are talkin about a guy fighting for his country, and pictures of LIFE THREATENING SITUATIONS. i wonder what whould happen to this guy if this happened in afaginstan???? he should just say, its mine, i want it back. if he says no, beat the crap out of him. then ask again. and see what he says.

Ross Tucker on JP Losman
ch19079 replied to Happy Days Lois & Clark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hes seen all the blitzes and coverages, but still has dificulty finding an open reciever, or getting rid of the ball under blitz pressure. -
(OT) I hope I'm not the onley one that's missing

i miss watching the illegal hits on the news. and the lawyers arguing over charges. and players complaining about how little they make when there sport is loosing money. there has to be some serious changed in hockey for it to come back. i dont miss it. i wish baseball and b-ball would do the same thing... -
if im correct, a franchised player is garenteed the average salary for the top 5 players at that position. thats a lot of money at the OT position.... i dout jenning will get that much. can you really say hes in the same league as Ogden or the other great OTs?????? also, if another team signs a "franchised" player as a FA, then the signing team gives up a first round pick for him. players hate this, cus it usually makes it harder for them to sign with another team, since most dont want to give up a first rounder. usually resulting in the player signing a 1 year deal for top 5 money. IMO: 1) jennings is not a top 5 OT. not a dominant force like the other top OT. he isnt worth that HUGE money a "franchised" OT will make. no team will give up a first rounder AND pay the huge salary he wants. he will get paid, but we wont get a first rounder for him. 2) the price situation was great. price looked like a 95 receptions a year guy. with m. vick needing a target, a first round pick was not alot to ask for. (they just didnt see he was a great #2, not a great #1 WR... o well) 3) Williams is not a franchise DT. IMO, to be a franchise DT, you have to eather get 10+ sacks a year.. and/or get 95+ tackles a year. hes good, damn good. but at 33, hes not in the top 5~10 DTs. he likes buffalo and, most likley take less to stay in buffalo. we will NOT franchise a player this year. if spikes was a FA, they could franchise him. hes the only player on our team which deserves that tag considering there age vs. production. so i guess its good we have him for several years to come.

10 yards for Holding is way too harsh!
ch19079 replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
its simple. holding by the O-Line should be 10 yards. basicaly they think if there was no holding the QB would have been sacked. or teh RB would have been tackled for a loss. a sack is usually 8-10 yards. also, anytime you sack the QB there is a good chance for a fumble. so 10 yards is not that bad, since you were going to loose 8 yards and a posable fumble. atleast you get to have the down back. 1st and 20 is alot better than 2nd and 20. -
bledsoe lost his starting job after game 4. but injuries to JP kept him in, and he payed well enouph to keep his job. the last game vs. the steelers was HORRABLE. and he lost it again. if JP doesnt start the first game next season, he will start by week 3. i just hope he plays better than E. Manning. just limit INTs please.
