Is Travis Henry as valuable as Corey Dillon?
ch19079 replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think TO only went for a second rounder. its all about what teams in the NFL are willing to give you. TO was worth 2 first rounders, but the way it went down, didnt let that happen. C. Dillon only went for a second rounder cus it looked like he was getting old and a problem in the locker room. -
i think we used it often on those "inches to go" plays. when he just pushes forward. its good. but, no way in hell i want bledsoe to drop back and then do a QB sneek. hes no Vick.

think about how many stars there are, and how man planets there are. statisticaly there has to be a planet out there with similar conditions to earth, in terms of distance from the sun and such. im still trying to figure out why religious people (no offense), believe that god created people here on earth but would not do the same on other similar planets.... not to change the subject completly around to talk about religin... but..... -
he died. o wait, that was george carlin talkin....... hes been a backup, but hasnt had his named called out in a game cus he doesnt do much when hes in. R. Edwards on the other hand had a few sacks....

Syracuse to hire Major Applewhite
ch19079 replied to JarHeadJim's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i thaught he could be a backup QB in the NFL. they didnt want him to be the starter, but was always always put in the big game when the starter proved he couldnt handle it. -
Do the Bills have the best secondary in the NFL?
ch19079 replied to Rudyc80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
vincent moved to FS, so it might take him a year or so to really get it. and McGee is NOT as good as most want to believe. randel el DESTROYED him that last game... but i agree we have a top secondary. backed up by one of the top LB groups. but the ravens E. Reed is a BEAST. -

if man dont keep exploring the universe, we would be on an island, speeking bad "british" english, thinking the world is flat. i think all real discoveries are made due to 2 reasons: mans natural curiosity and war -

OT: real college essay...this takes balls
ch19079 replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
im 23, graduated college in december 2003. true alot of college kids listen to rap. just like i do. and i dont see my self as a racist, but in vegas they have 3 to 1 odds the writer is african american. based on all the slang terms, short rap in the middle(which was good, by the way...), and refrences to a popular rap artist. (and the cronic CD, aswell as the following CD was Dr. Dre's best). while it could have been writen by someone with any ethnic background, im going to assume hes african american. -
The Lost Art of the Player-for-Player Trade
ch19079 replied to bartshan-83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it is rare to trade a player, you dont want, to a team willing to trade a player, they dont need, to you that happens to fit your system and fills a need. those trades are so complicated its rare. in baseball you need a pitcher, and you can loose a hitter, its no prob. but the NFL is bound by the cap, and trading a good RB for a good OT or OG is dificult cus most teams arnt willing to give up a good OG or OT, that doesnt have a huge cap hit. also, evaluating each players worth relative to eachother is dificult. champ baily vs. C. Portis included draft picks cus they are at diffrent positions and there skill levels vary by opinions. also, draft picks are VERY OVERRATED. its a gamble. so a first rounder could be a bust, or the next joe montana. you dont know. but a player who has 4 years in the NFL, you know exactly what they can do. a team will trade 2 first round picks for some 18 year old untested player, but wont trade a first rounder for a proven starter.... most teams would rather draft a RB and HOPE he can get 1500 yards a year, rather than sign a RB that WILL get them 1300 yards but not much more. also, draft picks allow you to select a player at the position you need to fill, rather than finding good NFL players with low cap hits whoes teams are willing to trade... -
OT: real college essay...this takes balls
ch19079 replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think the Dr. Dre refrence and that little rap he did in the middle kinda leads one to believe he is an african american. not because of the language or the crazy "uneducated" look of the paper. i think this guy is inteligent. he made his points clear, but i guess he was eather mad at something or just didnt care about the grade. i also got the impression the whole point of the essay was to prove you read the book, and can understand the meening of the book as well as identify the plot lines. basic intro english class stuff. but this has to be a college essay, cus any highschool teacher would not even get past the first line. and its obviously graded by a grad student, (if its real at all). -

OT: real college essay...this takes balls
ch19079 replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
im guessin this college is not DUKE or UNC chapel hill.... my professor would have read the first line and put an F on it. it was probubly read by a grad student reading essays for the professor. it is common for a grad student to grade papers and even teach the lower level classes. "riding in the benzo, poppin my colla see some fine wenches, hafta halla Diamonds, gold, the all mighty dolla Im opedipus B word, the original balla i bust out my 9, to light up your impala. !@#$ the police." "where is the text".. "basicaly he was !@#$in his own mom which is !@#$in nasty" "which is the gayest ending ever. the greeks invented anal lube. this is the conclusion. the end." "what conclusion" LOL best ending to a essay EVER!!! the profesors response was great... "what conclusion".... -

Deion Sanders speaking on Randy Moss
ch19079 replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so true... -
it was expected. 2nd rounder is not to much to pay for a young 1300+ yard RB. but then again TO went for a second... but AJ feely went for a second rounder.... its all about what they are willing to pay. and carolina has a good running back. they were lost due to injuries. doesnt mean they wont be back next year. i can see it now. the eagles trade their first rounder for R. Moss cus they dont have any recievers...
-
i fully believe that JP will make mistakes, and loose us a few games. but i also know Bledsoe will make mistakes and loose us a few games. might as well find out what he can do.

chris collensworth... i spelled his name wrong but he is horrable. my roommate is a giants fan so i watch there games alot. collensworth is ALWAYS one of the announcers. he would say things like there team is horrable. line is horrable. recievers are horrable. dropping passes. their opponents should have a cake walk this week... then if the giants win, he says things like... this is a promising young team with alot of tallent at several positions. i just think some announcers are biased agenst a team. him being one. also, i do hate when a team is leading by 15 or so, and the announcers just talk about something that happened 20 years ago, or something unrelated to the game. madden does this alot. i noticed this alot during dolphin games... ( i love NFL sunday ticket..)

Belichick to Play Cornerback Against the Colt
ch19079 replied to Pitta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
belichick will get 3 INTs and 2 TD, and brady will get another SB MVP with 30 yards passing. -
i ment to say: harrington was taught to get rid of the ball. lowers his sacks, but also leads him to make throws that piss coaches off. i always feel 2nd and 10 is better than 2nd and 18. or worse, a sack and fumble and a defensive TD... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: i also ment to say: bledsoe could take some pointers from harrington in getting rid of the ball and lowering his sack totals.
-
harrington throws the ball away, and sometimes throws to covered recievers. that may have something to do with his low sack totals. quick release. and rarely takes sacks. i wish bledsoe could do that.
