You basically had the best QB of all time taking hometown discounts. Brady never had a contract that had a cap hit of more than 20m a year: in fact during his prime years in NE he was only making 10-15m a year. It’s absurd how great of deal they got during all those years. Different times now. You have guys like Prescott taking up 25% of total cap which really restricts what a team can do and no way could repeat anything the Pats were able to do.

Disagree with Russ’ problems not being fixable. I think his problem this year was coaching. There’s no way he goes from his play in Seattle to a dud in Denver. The issue was a coach that couldn’t adjust his offense to tailor to his QBs strengths. Pete Carroll was a master at this. I mean look what he’s doing with Geno and how he’s getting the max out of him.

I was also thinking Tranquil to replace Edmunds. Not sure how much cheaper he would be. He’s also 4 years older than Edmunds. That’s the one thing people forget with Edmunds, he’s 4 years in and only 24. Still a lot of upside with him.

Rousseau had 8 sacks this year. He’s only 22. A lot of potential with this one.

Which will be a GREAT thing for this team. I wasn’t really a fan of all SB talk and being Vegas’ SB favorite in preseason. Too much hype/pressure on the team. Much prefer to be the team that no one talks about that sneaks up on everyone at end of season (Kind of like the Bengals this year). I think KC, Cincy, Philly will overtake us as the favorites. Not to mention we play each of those teams on the road next year, which will be TOUGH.

The pass rush is the single weakest link on this team. Without Miller, it’s downright bad. Oliver, Boogie, Rousseau and Epenesa have been disappointing. Rousseau has shown flashes so I’m not totally giving up on him yet. The others, especially Oliver with his cap hit, are deadweight.

No way Frazier gets a HC job, unfortunately. We need to shake up the D; new coaching, philosophy, whatever. Let Oliver walk, and the rest of the fat in our front 7. Oline needs to be beefed up. Only guys untouchable are Dawkins, Brown, Bates and Morse (just signed contract ext last year. Josh needs more weapons. Not enough consistency out of anyone aside from Diggs. Not sure Davis is that guy. Shakur may take a bit leap next year.

I’m worried about Von Miller going forward. What type of player will be next year coming off the ACL injury? I believe it’s the 2nd one on the same knee. He likely won’t be able to return until the mid-point of season at the earliest. He’ll be 34 next year. He doesn’t have too many years left and he Carries a hefty price tag.

Really missed watching him and Hyde in the secondary this year. One of the best safety duos in the NFL.

Super Bowl or bust next year. If we don’t win it next year, Beane will blow up the staff.
