  1. I agree that JMatt has more experience than Zay and Reilly. Talent / Skill - probably not based off just last year alone - was slow and unable to get separation. I do agree that it is possible last year was an aberration due to foot / ankle issues and we did not see the best of JMatt.
  2. no way he is a first rounder now. 3rd round steal realistic 2nd rounder tho.
  3. Zay, Deonte, Reilly >> Jordan Matthews at this point
  4. I didnt look at the stats - but I remember from the three way preseason QB competition between Tyrod, Cassell and Ej Manuel that Ej was hitting Sammy consistently while Tyrod was missing him a lot. But it no doubt improved enough for me to make my point that Sammy might have some chemistry with Tyrod.
  5. Isnt that a bit much to pay an old running back with a deep RB draft? I mean I like Ivory as a back up .. but was hoping for 1 year less than 2 mill deal. We turned down Gillislee at 2 yrs 6.4 mill. I'd rather have Gillislee at 2 yrs 6.4 mill than Ivory at 2 yrs 5.5 mill and I think Gillislee himself was overpaid. Anyway let us hope McBeane know what they are doing.
  6. I think whether we have an interest in Sammy or not is related to the Tyrod decision. Clearly all the signs are that Tyrod is out. But if he is not, he and Sammy were developing something. In the early going it seemed EJ Manuel was better for Sammy than Tyrod - but towards the end Tyrod was finding Sammy. So if the Bills are resigned to one more year of Tyrod, it would not surprise me if Sammy is also signed.
  7. possible .. but the one worse than the competition he faced was his own receiver corps:)
  8. The guy had 10+ sacks two years ago but only three once Tulane switched to a 3-4 last year and used him on the interior a ton.. He only started playing football in high school. He just killed the workouts at the combine: Best in explosiveness - first in Broad jump and vertical and second best in the 40 among DEs.
  9. Hate that it is to a division rival and hate it even more that it was only for a mid-round pick. Like the cap hit for the dolphins (which is why it is a mid rounder). Glad they dont have a Jim Schwartz like DC.
  10. Great thread. Thank you. Was severely underused at LSU - which has had the worst QBs ever. He was the reason LSU upset Auburn. But will he last till the 2nd round?
  11. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/22605110/new-york-giants-bullish-eli-manning-open-trading-no-2-pick It is possible this is a smokescreen to get the Browns to not go for a QB with #1. But if true, this completely shakes up the draft. Now only the Browns, Broncos, Jets & Cards (picks in front of us) are QB needy. Assuming Cousins goes to Minny, if a couple of the above teams go with the members of the Minny troika (Bridgewater, Keenum and Bradford) or AJ McCarron - we can get one of the top 4 QBs without moving up!!
  12. At this stage, Wilkerson is not likely to get a long or huge contract. I dont mind us giving him a 2 yr reasonable deal with incentives that overcome the laziness and tardiness. Not that it is critical, since he has been released signing him will NOT factor into the comp pick formula - so the comp pick police will also be happy.
  13. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000917668/article/vikings-intend-to-make-strong-push-for-kirk-cousins Ha! Always felt Minny was the odds on favorite to attract Cousins. He wants to win and Minny offered the best chance. He wants to get paid and Minny's cap situation is good. Also, Zimmer was never as much a fan of Keenum as others.
  14. it is possible he will suck .. but he did have the groin injury which restricted him last couple of years.
  15. Welcome to da Bills!! - Saw him play as an Illini - was a key reason they went to the Rose Bowl! Trivia: His first ever interception was against the Bills!
  16. Big question for the Bills: To cut Incognito or not Huge cap savings but equally crucial player Maybe solution will be to ask him to rework the deal. so save about 3 mill in cap this year
  17. we have two fifth round picks - maybe offer one? Personally I think Bryant is worth taking a flyer on with a 4th or lower.
  18. This is not major news. Bills hv until 3rd day of year to pay the 6 mill. They don't have to decide now at all. if they strike out on the Foles trade or Cousins signing by the 3rd day they can retain Tyrod.
  19. In setting up visits - usually the first and last visits are the most important
  20. Sammy is not worth 16 mill for one year - more line 6-7 mill per year guy. No way Rams tag him. Especially with another tag candidate in Lamarcus Joyner.
  21. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/doug-pederson-eagles-win-super-bowl-lii-anyway-if-carson-wentz-isnt-injured-wentz-mvp/ Surely this quote from Doug Pederson will not sit well with Foles.
  22. https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2018/2/22/17039724/eagles-cut-trade-save-salary-cap-space-players-casaulty-philadelphia-nick-foles-torrey-smith-curry Another article on Philly's cap situation and why trading Foles makes a lott a sense
  23. Umm here is what ESPN says today about Denver's cap space. not saying Cousins is going to definitely sign with the Bills - just that the chances are not as bad as people seem to think. http://www.espn.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/35701/if-kirk-cousins-wants-to-win-some-teams-just-dont-make-sense
  24. Looks like there is a lots of momentum from Philly's beat writers and fans regarding a Foles to Bills trade: https://snowballingphiladelphiasports.wordpress.com/2018/02/19/does-foles-to-buffalo-work/ Option 3 appears to be very doable. https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2018/2/19/17029338/5-realistic-trade-locations-packages-nick-foles-eagles-quarterback-philadelphia-bill-polian-news-nfl (Jets) Trade suggested is close to fair http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2018/02/are_the_buffalo_bills_the_perfect_landing_spot_for_nick_fole.html
