  1. Which can be one of the reasons Steelers do not trade AB to them but to us:)
  2. What would you like as the title? Summary of OP: National Media does not appear to think Bills are legit trade candidates. But oddsmakers appear to think so. So dont sleep on AB to Bills despite what the national media is saying. Feel free to suggest something and I will gladly change it if I like it.
  3. https://www.totalprosports.com/2018/10/09/bills-jordan-poyers-side-chick-puts-his-wife-rachel-bush-on-blast-pics/ Agree that Antonio Brown is a side issue that Poyer has likely moved on from. That is likely why the odds on Bills landing him still are high.
  4. Yes. There is something called the eye-ball test. If you eye-ball it, do not click on it, let alone reply to it.?
  5. Very rarely does the national media ever suggest the Bills as a destination for star FAs or Trade candidates. Here is a case in point (regarding Antonio Brown): https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/antonio-brown-trade-rumors-ranking-eight-best-landing-spots-plus-four-teams-with-no-chance-for-steelers-star/ That article lists 8 teams including the Jets, Fins and Raiders from the AFC, but does not even suggest the Bills. Yet the odds makers have consistently favored the Bills (3rd best odds as of now - after the Niners and the Colts). https://247sports.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/Article/Antonio-Browns-Titans-odds-129323287/ I have more faith in the oddsmakers than the national media since oddsmakers put their money where their mouth is. So, the Poyer situation notwithstanding, may not be that farfetched to think about AB to the Bills. Our second rounder is in the perfect sweet spot for this trade. In contrast to AB, oddsmakers do not favor the Bills at all in being a destination for Leveon Bell. We do not feature in the top 12. https://www.wsn.com/nfl/leveon-bell-odds-2019-team
  6. you are right. I have been (incorrectly) extrapolating the "Give me the damn ball" episode with Tyrod to Sammy having a connection with EJ Manuel.
  7. Sammy Watkins had his best stretch with EJ at QB. He never really had a connection with Tyrod. Not at all a bad signing as a backup to Mahomes IMO.
  8. Ya got the cause and effect backward. ? The pats are a parity aberration partly because they self select into getting these comp picks year after year.
  9. Among all the TE names we have heard bandied about, this is the one I am most excited about. Young, healthy TE on an upward trajectory. And the Bills Mafia could embrace a name like that.
  10. FWIW, this is what he turned down: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/leveon-bell-reportedly-turned-down-a-monstrous-70-million-deal-from-the-steelers/ I doubt if his new contract will be significantly better than what he turned down in Pittsburgh. The were offering him 33 mill guaranteed and 14 mill per for 5 years. he wanted a minimum of 17 mill per. That is why I think something like 4 years 60 mill with 35+ mill guaranteed will be somewhat palatable to him and not unreasonable to the Bills (if they want Bell). There can also be some kind of injury guarantee (say an additional 7-8 mill) to make the contract more attractive.
  11. I think people thinking Bell wont get 10 mill per year are delusional. Besides being a RB, he also has outstanding ball skills as a WR. He had 80+ catches for 650+ yards the last time he played. That would easily have made him Bills top receiver in catches and yards. If Sammy got 16 mill per year, there is no way Bell makes 10 mill per year. He may not get Gurley money, but he will come close. Additionally, unlike Gurley, he has produced in the post-season at about 130 yds from scrimmage. This guy can be a game changer. An OC can get so creative with a guy like Bell in the backfield. I expect him to get at least 30 mill guaranteed if his conditioning is good and he passes his physical.
  12. He did lead us in ST snaps last year I think. He has speed and I believe he can be serviceable as WLB. But dont play him ever at SLB. So I agree with you that he sucks in certain situations:)
  13. Good ST + depth signing. The re-signing of the ST players shows that McD believes last year's abysmal ST performance was more about Crossman's system than the players. I agree.
  14. His red zone prowess was a revelation. Hope he gets his act together and, maybe, becomes a Bill again.
  15. this might help: http://a.espncdn.com/nfl/columns/clayton_john/1550442.html bottomline summary: yes there are strict rules - but the nice thing about the change to stricter rules is that it makes it easier for the players to stay in shape and also avoid injuries.
  16. I wouldnt mind giving him 4 yrs 60 mill deal with 35 mill guaranteed. He can be a game changer. I think Colts and Jets might be the only teams willing to give him more than that guaranteed over 4 years.
  17. Do love the 2 second round picks - meh before and after. I am sure Metcalf will kill it during the combine since he is a physical beast - just not sure if that "beastness" transfers to ball skills, route running, separation etc. But if they do get Metcalf, I will be rooting for him to become the premier WR #1 of course.
  18. SOS is based on prior year's win loss ratio and, with time-series parity the norm for non-Patriots NFL, SOS does not mean much at this time. Bills and Jets should be better and Miami worse this coming season. Certainly hope Bills will win at least one vs. Pats this season. This is the key phrase
  19. Well the Jets did mortgage their depth (and create holes this offseason) by forsaking all those draft picks to the Colts to move up to get Darnold. The Colts, on the other hand, made out like bandits - they have cap space and very few holes. Glad we did not move up to 3 - the price would have been astronomical. Also lucked out Denver wanted Chubb. That brought the move up price down even further.
  20. How about a certain QB who goes by the moniker Derek Anderson. Back in the day when I used to play fantasy, I was desperate for a QB already in week 2 and he stepped in and gave me 5 TDs. I won that league thanks to playing him a few more times. He made the pro Bowl that season and never reached close to those heights again. I think he has found his calling as a mentor to young QBs though - so maybe that counts towards not making him a a one-season wonder.
  21. signing him can have adverse Comp Pick consequences:)
  22. Hmm dont forget - we may have to trade up to the QB we want.
  23. Stories like this make the Nick Bosa / Ed Oliver decisions seem so sensible. If you are a top 2 round draft candidate, I hope you take out a nice insurance policy before playing the championship game / playoffs. Glad he got the surgery done quickly. Hopefully he will be fine for the regular season. Draft stock will take a hit. Just dont know how big. Late 2nd round now?
  24. I was only at the event as an observer - do not know them personally. But they knew each other well and appeared comfortable discussing Kyler - guess it helps they were not (or likely not) interested in a QB.
