  1. Thought he showed exactly what was needed to be shown to strike fear into opposing DC’s yesterday.
  2. With Ford looking good in preseason and Brown or Quessenberry being the swing OT behind whichever starts… dare I say … I’m starting to become a bit confident in this group? Most of that confidence comes from Kromer leading the OL, but the Top 7 suddenly look quite competent and then we get back Boettger at some point down the line for added depth.
  3. I’ve swung more to the side of understanding why we’d focus more on ST’s, but I don’t think the people clamoring for Hodgins, Blackshear and Spector are doing so for this year.. I think many see the writing on the wall at LB and RB after this season, and realize Spector could be a good depth LB and Blackshear a good RB3 behind Moss and Cook. Hodgins plays a premium position and has flashed, with another cheap year on his deal next season.
  4. After watching yesterday, OJ Howard looked like a much better TE2 option than anything we’ve had recently. I’d keep him. Sweeney and Morris to the PS, and if only one makes it there … ok, fine.
  5. I do find humor in the idea that “other GM’s were upset we traded up for Shakir”.. It was the top of Round 5, what was going on?.. everyone playing a game of chicken of Khalil and Beane jumped the gun? Whatever the reason, if a guy lasts to Round 5, you only have yourself to blame if you don’t get him. Just like with Gabriel Davis, it looks like the Bills hit a home run by exercising patience in an absolutely loaded WR Draft.
  6. Keenum looks fantastic. Really impressive out there today.
  7. Agreed, but one thing is for sure.. Shakir is legit and Moss clearly was a product of injury last year.. adding a healthy Moss, plus Cook, Shakir and the blocking ability of Howard .. lots of verifiable talent upgrades on the field. Can’t go crazy about preseason, but those guys are popping out there.
  8. If we have anything remotely resembling this rushing attack, the Offense will be unstoppable.
  9. I don’t think anyone can say underrated or overrated. I’d say “unproven” is the word that applies.
  10. This. We have a lot of projection involved in our roster. OL at 14. I think is pretty accurate. On paper they are a middle of the pack group. If Bates and Brown make a jump, they’re a top 10 group. If Ed Oliver makes another jump, DT is a top 10 group. If Settle proves he was buried on the depth chart and has starter talent and Phillips regains his Buffalo form, this group could be top 5. If Rousseau, Basham and AJ make any kind of jump, DE could be a top 5 group. If Davis and McKenzie continue to ascend.. again, top 10 group. Those are all plausible “ifs”, but they aren’t ranking position groups based on potential.
  11. People say that, but we need two legit TE’s to do that. We have one. Howard is probably fine as a TE2 as depth, but I’m not seeing him convincing anyone - yet - that we need to be forcing 12 personnel just because Dorsey did it 100 years ago at the U.
  12. If you set up YouTubeTV initially in Buffalo and then moved, it may ask you if which location you want to watch from when you log in the first couple times and if you’re traveling or if this is your home. I have it and am back and forth half the week in South Carolina and the other half in ATL. The first few times it asked me this, but hasn’t in a while. It gave me the option of watching local South Carolina stations in Atlanta. Never really tried it so maybe it’s just a glitch and they eventually catch on.
  13. Dee Haslam is brutal in this presser. She's about 5 seconds away from telling the media to shut up and get over it.
  14. This press conference could not be going any worse for the NFL’s damage control.
  15. If Tre can't go Week One, I'm still going with Dane and Kaiir. Elam's potential, based on traits, is a #1 lockdown corner. IMO, unless he's a complete liability, you start that guy. I'd start him over Dane Jackson when Tre comes back as well. I'd rather have Kaiir Elam, with an entire season of reps entering the playoffs, with his potential, over us playing musical chairs all year. Benford looks like a home run pick, but I'm betting on Tre and Elam to man outside corner for the next few years. Dane and Benford could be some of the best depth in the NFL.
  16. If I had to guess, you can somewhat control a practice. i.e. red jersey on the QB. Can't do that in a game. See Jalen Hurts getting rocked out of bounds by a Jets defender.
  17. We know that Beane talks to Josh regularly. He’s said as much openly on Pat McAfee’s show. I have to imagine if Josh, or Diggs, or anyone of high importance, viewed OBJ as a potential locker room issue, the message would be relayed. The fact nobody on this team (cough, Von, cough) seems to have been told to shut up about OBJ, means to me that Josh and Diggs etc., are good with it.
  18. I mean, this is obviously assuming the staff is confident in his abilities. He's not going to command 15M.. if he does, he's not going to a contender, which I'm pretty sure is his goal over a money grab coming off the injury.
  19. Crowder is one year rental. He's already behind McKenzie on the depth chart, doesn't play specials, and has a rookie who's making it very difficult to keep him off the field. To me, the question becomes.. Who would you rather have as a rental? Crowder or OBJ. Bills throw the ball enough to warrant having 5 quality WR's rotating through. Diggs and Davis are set as the outside 1 and 2. McKenzie can lock down the slot long term by continuing his strong play into the season. Shakir is WR4, who bumps down to WR5 if we bring in OBJ. I'm all in on OBJ for a year. Bring Shakir along like they did Davis.
  20. Yup, we're basically a year behind them on the QB timeline. Poyer walking would be our honey badger, and while we don't have a Tyreek Hill situation, we'll have expiring contracts in Edmunds / Saffold / Singletary as our tough decisions to be made.
  21. I thought Moss looked great in that game. His burst was noticeably better from last year. Moss is an interesting back. He has a goal line/short yardage body, but is also very good in the passing game, both pass pro and pass catching. Seems pretty much locked in as RB3/Short Yardage Back. It's not a small thing if he, along with a potentially better OL, allow those short yardage/red zone Josh Allen runs become Zack Moss runs. It's time to protect the best QB in the NFL, and having him be our short yardage back in the regular season is ridiculous.
  22. Agreed.. that will help for sure. We also have Oliver and Davis long term deals coming up as well. Great news is that the Bills FO kills it in the middle-late rounds of the draft. The track record is becoming undeniable. Getting guys like Davis, Benford, Shakir etc., on Day 3, is how you stay a contender while keeping most of your stars. I'd love to keep Poyer and Edmunds, but I just don't know how a team with the talent we have, and the QB we have, is able to allocate so much money positionally to the linebacker and safety positions. Maybe I'm wrong and they re-sign everyone, but I'm prepared to have this be the last season we see Poyer in a Bills uniform. I legitimately have no idea what we will do with Edmunds in the offseason and/or how that may relate to Milano, if at all.
  23. Josh Allen cap hit '22 = $16M Josh Allen cap hit '23 = $40M Von Miller cap hit '22 = $5M Von Miller cap hit '23 = $18M Stefon Diggs cap hit '22 = $12M Stefon Diggs cap hit '23 = $20M Superstars cost money
  24. It's really tough. We haven't had bad special teams play for a few years now (sans punter issues).. The first time Araiza bombs a punt and we give up a huge return, fans will start to turn on how they view this issue. It will also be very frustrating if a legit slot corner like Cam Lewis or a legitimately promising young WR get claimed before we can stash them on the PS, simply because we feel the need to keep four guys on the roster that are only expected to ever contribute on special teams. (Jones, Neal, Kumerow, Matakevich)
