  1. Really hoping to see Tolbert throw the ball in the air and catch it himself for 2 yard gain like a fat, lonely, latchkey 7 year old in his backyard. Tolbert!
  2. Somebody's got a boner. You've been at it for at least a decade by my count, SaviorEdwards, and to this day your "analysis" falls on deaf ears. Nobody respects you. Nobody wants you here. You're pathetic.
  3. Because of the assumption that he'll bring distraction. He's been completely silent to the point that it's actually hurting his case. Any distraction at this point is assumed or manufactured elsewhere.
  4. I have the opinion that he's perfectly capable of playing in the NFL. I do not believe that every rostered QB is better than him, therefore, he's being punished for reasons that have nothing to do with sports. And around we go.
  5. Easily fooled people as well. If Luther Strange was chosen in Alabama and/or Obamacare was replaced, we seriously wouldn't even be talking about this.
  6. socks and a t-shirt. you're outraged over a man's socks and tshirt. clearly the man should never be able to work again...
  7. Right? Pretty gross. Also find it interesting that Kaep was labelled a "nut job" in this thread for expressing his personal beliefs. Seems like a very intelligent person to me. He's been silent to the point of hurting his status. What exactly are his antics aside from taking a knee a few times over a year ago? So much hyperbole. You'd think the guy hosted a regular anti-cop podcast on Youtube from some of the comments here.
  8. Of course. I know many who regret voting for him as well. He also lost the popular vote to an awful candidate, and his popularity has been plummeting ever since. He hasn't delivered anything and is completely spiraling right now. Sorry, I just can't buy that he's the favorite in 2020 at this point. His own party doesn't want him.
  9. I think it's like 35% now and I couldn't agree more. It's hilarious how Trumpists living in their Alex Jones / Roger Stone echo chamber actually think that Trump's form of nationalism is actually going to take root in America. So completely beyond ignorance and naivete that you just have to laugh. You guys already peaked and will forever be remembered as a horrifying glitch in the system that will hopefully never happen again. Can't wait for Mueller torpedo #1 to hit tomorrow.
  10. And don't think that our defense didn't have any impact on Julio and Sano being out of the game. Are we assuming that their injuries are simply luck? This secondary hits people.
  11. Yeesh. If we're really splitting hairs like that, then I meant in general that the NFC champs don't lose at home every week...not that the Bills or any single team for that matter beats them. C'mon now. The only thing that matters when it comes to points is that you ultimately score more than the other team. Which we did. Again. I'm not completely buying the idea at this point that we need to put up 40 at will because there's going to be a week where we need to hang with the Pats or Saints or whatever in a shootout. This defense is for real, so therefore, all that matters is more points. 3-1.
  12. Nobody likes QBR apparently nowadays which is supposed to be a composite of QB performance but Tyrod is currently in the 100+ club along with Brady, Goff, Alex Smith, Brees, Carr, Cousins...oh wait, that's it.
  13. But also an absence of turnovers. Would you prefer 30-48 for 340 and 3 INTS for a close loss? Why is passing yardage seemingly the current measuring stick for QB performance on this board? A win on the road against the defending NFC champs is something to legitimately get excited about. That simply doesn't happen every week in the NFL.
  14. Loving Tyrod's play right now. He's going to make things very confusing for this organization and this fanbase haha. Stats aside (i.e. "300 yard games!") - at the end of this season, I'm predicting that Tyrod will be regarded by the media and general public as a top 10 QB. He's already sliding into top 15 status (literally. Somebody on NFL.com did a QB ranking BEFORE this week and Tyrod was 15). Few QB's in the league right now protect the ball as well as he does, in addition to his ground game and general ability to lead. Guy is becoming a legit, upper echelon leader at QB. The absence of gaudy numbers somehow emphasizes that when you consider who this team just beat these past two weeks. An absolute master of efficiency right now. I honestly don't even understand why we're tip toeing around and calling him "serviceable" at this point. 3-1. Just beat the defending NFC champs. Does not turn the ball over. Incredibly efficient. One of, if not the most, mobile QBs in the game. Why don't we try "good" for a change when describing Tyrod?
  15. I'm sick of people acting like Sammy regularly criticized fans and acted like a Dez Bryant / TO / Keyshawn Johnson grade WR diva while he was here. Absolutely not the case.
  16. Injury issues aside, god he looked good last night. His talent is clearly above and beyond anything that we have which shouldn't be a surprise to anybody (that over the shoulder catch was ridiculous). I think people are automatically assuming that he's going to miss time, but he could very well be back next week with a newfound chemistry with Goff. A few more games like last night and the Julio Jones career arc talk will be back in full force. Have to agree that letting your blue chip receiver go while simultaneously planning for your QB for the future is short sighted and a bit confusing. Maybe we'll get somebody as good as Sammy in 2019? Keep watching them wheels spin.
  17. Sheesh, I've got to agree. Such a petty, stupid thing but I can't help it.
  18. I take it you didn't watch the Broncos/Chargers game last night? Siemian is more than capable and should not be dismissed in Week 3. I thought Denver was going in the wrong direction but they could very well be a playoff team again this year.
  19. I agree that you don't need to overpay, but disagree that GOOD young rookie RB's are a dime a dozen. Ajayi and Hunt are two examples. There are a lot more Jonathan Williams than Jay Ajayi's out there. Gillislee is good. He just scored 3 tds and didn't even seem to be used correctly. He really shouldn't be compared to either Williams, neither of which may have a future. I guarantee he will have a better year than Joe Banyard... Point is that there are a lot of decent running backs and system guys, but it's really not as simple as just plugging anybody in. There's still tremendous value in having a legitimately good running back.
  20. Leading up to the game I had heard that Burkhead might actually be the one to watch... I've decided to just stay away from that backfield entirely for fantasy purposes moving forward. Who the hell knows.
  21. I find your take extremely cynical considering that you're talking about a long-time consummate professional and former Walter Payton man of the year. Why not take his word for it? You're entitled to your opinion but I think it's pretty gross that you automatically assume that he's "grandstanding". Perhaps you're making this more political than he is, considering that he's only vaguely said that he just wants to contribute more thus far. Football isn't life no matter what armchair quarterbacks and tough guy message board cynics believe, and between CTE and the very real problems facing society (it's not even worth an honest discussion if anybody thinks it's the same as it was 13 years ago or whatever), you're going to see many more players walk with very little notice. The popularity of the NFL and subsequent buy-in from its players peaked years ago.
  22. He's a good player he just doesn't have anything close to the talent of Sammy. He's doesn't have a lot of burst, he had some terrible drops last year, and he was honestly looking to be the odd man out in Philly this year. He's a possession receiver, a good #2, not a legitimate #1 elite talent. I may get killed by this for people who are far more knowledgeable than I am but to me he's Golden Tate Lite. People should not assume that we swapped a #1 for another #1 who's just a little bit worse than our #1. We swapped a #1 for a solid #2.
  23. I fear a lot of fans are going to be very disappointed by Jordan Matthews. If there's a silver lining to this it's more likely going to come in the form of Zay Jones.
