Mahomes wouldn't have any TOs. 13 seconds happens because the Chiefs have TOs and the Bills defend the sideline.
30 seconds with no TOs and you have to go 45/50 yards. I'll take that risk over him having 2 TOs and 2 minutes needing a TD.
Think this way: He needs to go about 1.5 yards per second to beat the Bills with it tied. Or he needs .5 yards per second to beat the Bills with the Bills winning by 4. That's the logic.
It's not even about getting a TD later. You simply cannot give the ball back to Mahomes. Even if that means a closer FG then that's the play. I would rather the Bills tie it with 30 seconds left then give it to Mahomes with 2 minutes left
In order I'd like:
1. Ben Johnson
2. Jim Harbaugh
3. Bill Belichick
If the Bills got Belichick it would be on Beane to nail those WR picks in the next draft.
Hard to come up with names in blowout losses to the Chiefs and Bengals.
Don't forget the Too Many Men on the Field loss.... I know it's not a playoff game but yeah
That's a loss. Hell even Peyton Manning, when he was with the Colts, shaved the clock because he didn't want Brady to have time. Romo literally on the next play said the Chiefs should do Cover 0 because you don't want the Bills to run the clock.
It's the wrong play. The clock is more important than the TD here. If you score on that play you give Mahomes the ball back with 1:55 left and 2 TOs.
The pass to Diggs was it. You take the easy first and keep burning clock. You need KC to burn both their TOs and have about a minute left. Allen is the best when he takes what the defense gives him and that was the right play.... not the long TD.
100%. The clock is more important than the score at that time. Let me ask you this: if you are the Chiefs would you rather have the ball down 4 with 2 TOs and 1:55 left or with 1:55 left the Bills have the ball at your 15 yard like and you have a 3 point lead with one TO.
It's so odd because they managed the clock awesome in the first half and just threw it away. Also; if you miss that throw in the endzone it's 3rd and 9 and you have a kicked that has struggled. Even that first FG was barely good.
I just don't undertand why Allen is trying to throw into the endzone with 2 minutes left. That doesn't win you the game. You take the short pass for a FD to Diggs and you work the Chiefs TOs and clock and try to score with about 45 seconds left to take a 4 point lead.
McDermott should go. I've said it for 2 years. His defense isn't beating any elite QB in the postseason.
