  1. You seem to tell yourself that you know a lot about me, but you're just living in a dream world, buddy. Keep on fantasizing if it makes you feel good, I guess.
  2. No I didn't. But once again, you'll believe anything that makes you feel good, even if you yourself are making it up. It's honestly pretty sad.
  3. Fun fact: I do not actually support an open border. But it fits your narrative if I did, so you believe it. Feelings > Facts as always.
  4. Rooting for human trafficking certainly is a position. Not a good one, but a position nonetheless...
  5. Yeah, that’s obviously also awful. Going to go out on a controversial limb here: killing babies is bad, no matter who does it.
  6. https://x.com/ap/status/1712618416656339444?s=46&t=Jf_5fQharG6pLsB8ACvvjQ “Al-Shifa Hospital, a sanctuary amidst the rubble in Gaza City, is now wrestling with a looming crisis — power cuts that could cut short numerous lives.” My son spent three weeks in a NICU. I cannot imagine being a parent of one of these kids right now.
  7. My contention: it took about two hours for him to tell people to go home. Your response: it was only two hours before he told people to go home. Thanks for agreeing with me!
  8. Two hours between when the Capitol is first breached and when Trump told them to go home. Should have been immediate but always need an excuse for the orange godking
  9. The current leader in the clubhouse is an actual groomer. Good job, everyone!
  10. Good point. It took hours and a lot of people asking him to do it before he ended up sending it.
  11. Yeah, interesting how they left after being told to by a specific person.
  12. U.S. and Qatar Block Iran’s Access to $6 Billion From Prisoner Deal “The United States and Qatar have agreed to block Iran’s access to $6 billion in funds recently transferred to the nation as part of a deal between Washington and Tehran that led to the release of five imprisoned Americans from Iran last month.” Good.
  13. Nothing justifies a terrorist attack on civilians. Hamas is a genocidal terrorist organization that seeks the elimination of Israel. But the idea that this is somehow Biden’s fault is ridiculous and ignores the geopolitics of the region. This is Hamas’ fault, not Biden’s, not Trump’s. That kind of talk is just loser “blame America talk” that the Right used to criticize the Left for. The fact that it happened when Israel and Saudi Arabia were on track to normalize relations makes me think it’s likely that Iran pushed for this attack.
  14. Maybe just recognize reality for a minute and realize that it the entire world does not revolve around the president of the US. There definitely wasn’t anything else happening in the region that lead up to this that more likely drove the attack? Maybe something happening between Israel and one of the would-be regional hegemonies?
  15. Ah, so it’s blame America now. Man, conservatives today are a LOT different than when I was growing up…
  16. An important thing to note is that the standard for intent here is the intent to possess the documents, not on what he intended to use them for. That being said, if you have evidence on what he intended to use them for, that’s obviously pretty strong evidence for intent to possess.
  17. I’m glad that we agree that, running as an independent, RFK Jr. is likely to pull more support from the GOP than from Dems. And it’s the position supported by the data, so that’s always a bonus!
  18. https://x.com/burgessev/status/1712160090327760991?s=46&t=Jf_5fQharG6pLsB8ACvvjQ This seems like a no-brainer “Dem Sen. Baldwin: “Until I have full confidence that Iran did not play a role in these barbaric terrorist attacks on the Israeli people, the United States should freeze the $6 billion dollars in Iranian assets.” Joins Manchin, Rosen, Tester, CCM and Casey”
  19. I dunno why people just don’t look things up before making falsifiable statements… Anyway, RFK is more popular with GOP voters than Dems.
  20. Also, it’s pretty common on this board to identify a poster with a specific group and then assume they believe everything that the version of that group that only exists in your head believes. It’s why I try to engage people on what they actually post instead of what I may think or assume they mean based on my own preconceptions.
  21. I think I’ve been pretty consistent here. A lot of people here just assume I’m far left because I’m not conservative and therefore must believe every left wing thing.
  22. The money was South Korean money owed when South Korean purchased things from Iran. To avoid US sanctions, South Korea did not transmit the $6 billion to Iran but instead stored it in a bank. As part of an agreement to release hostages, the US agreed to allow South Korea to release the funds to Iran on the condition that the funds only go to approved humanitarian aid. To facilitate this, the funds were transferred to two accounts in a bank in Doha. Before a single dollar from these accounts was spent, Hamas launched this attack. So while it is completely fair to criticize the original deal and to state that none of the money should be disbursed in light of recent circumstances, it is incorrect to state that these funds were used to sponsor these attacks. Unfortunately, the truth does not matter to political actors, so people continue to push this false narrative.
  23. I would be surprised if it was. A bunch of far left orgs like local DSA chapters have been disgracing themselves in the last couple of days. That post is right on target for the line of thinking for many in those groups.
  24. A close friend of mine who is a US Army vet (with three tours of duty) sent me this Task and Purpose video about the conflict in Israel. Israel is at War It is a pretty solid breakdown of the kinetic state of the conflict while mostly avoiding political opinions. Note: It’s a bit long at 20 minutes and the editing is occasionally choppy but it’s very informative and worth a watch.
  25. I wasn’t aware of this maneuvering by Israel until today For years, Netanyahu propped up Hamas. Now it’s blown up in our faces “Additionally, since 2014, Netanyahu-led governments have practically turned a blind eye to the incendiary balloons and rocket fire from Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel has allowed suitcases holding millions in Qatari cash to enter Gaza through its crossings since 2018, in order to maintain its fragile ceasefire with the Hamas rulers of the Strip. Most of the time, Israeli policy was to treat the Palestinian Authority as a burden and Hamas as an asset. Far-right MK Bezalel Smotrich, now the finance minister in the hardline government and leader of the Religious Zionism party, said so himself in 2015. According to various reports, Netanyahu made a similar point at a Likud faction meeting in early 2018, when he was quoted as saying that those who oppose a Palestinian state should support the transfer of funds to Gaza, because maintaining the separation between the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza would prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.”
