The FCC didn't coerce them. ABC was facing liability. They made the decision to either fight it or get rid of Kimmel. They chose to get rid of Kimmel. It was ABC's decision, not the government. The government threatened a consequence for Kimmel's actions. ABC either wanted to fight it or not, they chose not to. They don't make a decision at this level without consulting Legal. Actions speak louder than words and what actions did ABC take?
