Come on man, there is no hate. Everyone on here knows Allen is a top 1-2 player in the league. Criticism when they play poor is not hating on him. The hypersensitivity is really high. Allen played terribly against Houston, does that mean I hate him? No, it doesn’t.

Okay so you don’t believe a player needs to earn playing time. You just give them the position even if they haven’t showed they are ready. No one is saying we are getting good play at safety but if a rookie isn’t showing he’s ready, you don’t play him. Do you not believe the mental aspect of the game? Just completely ruin the confidence of a player by throwing then out there if they are not ready? Again, McDermott has no issue playing rookies and if he was showing he was ready, he would be playing.

You seem to not believe a player should earn playing time. He is a second round pick so you play him regardless. You don’t know where Bishop is in his progression because you aren’t at practice or the film room…you just play him. McDermott will play rookies if they are ready. There are plenty of examples of that.

I think its 100% psychological. The mental game is the scariest though because you don’t know when it props back up.

I honestly don't know if officiating has gotten worse or the bad calls are highlighted more with technology. There was terrible calls in the 80's and 90's when I was growing up. But those calls weren't on social media for the entire world to see over and over and over again. Bad calls were shown once on replay for regular season games and that was it.

He is throwing with anticipation now which I never really saw him do before. Herbstreit was pointing it out last night.
