Do you really not understand the difference in eras? When Reed retired, he was 3rd all time in receptions. In 1990, there were only 3 WR's with 80 or more receptions. Yes that's right....3. Last year in 2023, there were 23. Do you see the difference? In Jim Kelly's first 6 seasons, he had 2,252 passing attempts. In Josh Allen's first 6 seasons, he has 3,145 passing attempts. Nearly a thousand more passing attempts.

I think it got beyond annoying and to the level of "sick of his s***". This is just stuff that's made public. Who knows how Diggs has been communicating with everyone behind the scenes.

I think Beane is just being "PC" and didn't want Allen in the spotlight with this. I am willing to bet that Allen knew step by step. If Beane had stated Allen knew that it was going to happen, then Allen starts getting questions that we are trying to avoid and drop the Diggs drama for good. Yep. Everyone hates being around someone like that in any setting.

I honestly don't think that the Bills do this without Allen give it a thumbs up. I think James Jones on one of those talk shows said the Bills figured out they can with without him. Allen spreads the ball out well, maybe better than any QB in the league. With Diggs getting up there in age, slowing down and Allen not having to worry about getting Diggs his targets....Allen could actually be better. You can't force the balls to Diggs like it's 2020 or 2021 anymore. Diggs will want his targets regardless if he's slowing down. Allen can now just walk up to the line and can just throw it where he thinks its the best place to go rather than satisfying Diggs ego. It has to be a relief IMO. WR are diva's and probably will have to deal with something like this again but a more mature way. I appreciate what Diggs did for us for 4 seasons but these, what Tim Graham said "micro aggressions" do get annoying, especially for Allen.

I would rather draft one too but I think Aiyuk could be a good #1 as well. He got 105 targets last year and I think if you give him 30 more with the Bills...I think we could see a Diggs from MN to Buffalo type of increase in production. From what I know about Aiyuk is he's a yac guy and we need more of that.

I would do that in a heartbeat but wouldn't think this would be enough. Both Bills #1 and #2 picks will be later in the round picks. The Vikings might be gold but still, a second so 33 at the earliest. The Giants could use one of these elite WR's as well.

Me too. I was a big defender of Diggs because I liked his fiery attitude and wanted more players to have it. I knew he was a diva but he produced. But then the moment when we need him, especially after his act towards Allen on the sidelines last playoffs....this drop completely changed how I felt about him.

One good point that Nate Geary made is Keenan Allen went for a 4th. He had 110 catches last year. So a 2nd for Diggs is about right.

He is a good PR guy. I could feel the wheels in his turning to answer this the best he can without throwing Diggs under the bus. Deep inside his brain, he was probably saying "I couldn't F****** wait to get rid of this mother******"
